Emerald hack: Pokémon Team Rocket Edition: Dragonsden Version - Kanto/Sevii/Johto | Next release: DLC (season 4)

I'm just after completing the S.S Anne ship part.
Ah. That'll be right before the 1-2 hurdles of Rock Tunnel and the Pokemon Tower, then.

Having more active Pokemon the party earlier in the game makes keeping them all afloat Level-wise harder. Most of the default trainers use their canon FRLG teams and Levels, but the mini-boss and boss trainers are constantly escalating.

Here's a couple suggestions.

1.) If you haven't already, Thief should be on basically every Pokemon in your party that can learn it. They can steal increasingly valuable items from boss and mini-boss trainers. And even from default trainers, some of them (I notice this particularly from Lasses and Picknickers) will have 1 of their Pokemon inexplicably be holding a Nugget. Steal everything that's not nailed down in battles. There's a guide in this thread that showcases boss/mini-boss trainers held items for their teams. That's a good resource.

2.) Find a boss or mini-boss trainers, the strongest available, and train against them, losing on purpose (and stealing from them) repeatedly until you feel your party is adequately Leveled (and/or kitted out with items like Assault Vests and Eviolites, etc.). There is no money penalty for losing. You'll be sent to the most recently used Pokemon Center. The only downside is that certain boss/mini-boss trainers are more awkward to return to then others. But since they are the strongest trainers available, they make for the best source of renewable experience before they're defeated during this early-midgame to midgame hurdle.

just been told to travel there but can't find where I'm supposed to go to teleport… says easternmost deep base room but I've tried 5 island, celadon and route 5 bases and can't find the machine.

I thought it was obvious😭, its quite literally next to the maximum potential room, there is two rooms there, one for jhoto, one for hoenne, you can only enter the jhoto room and thats where you can teleport

Hi, I'm enjoying this rom a lot so far! I couldn't find any info unfortunately (I'm new here), but I wondered where the name changer is and if there is a possibility to check the EVs? Thank you :D

Thank you! Do you know by any chance is there an option to see EVs? I'm not in lavender yet but its my next stop so that comes in handy :)
Yes, you will be able so see them, but you have to have defeated the fifth gym leader in johto, then after the event with Giovanni there you can go into the first floor of the rocket base in johto.

I wish I knew about this before I've gotten further in the game. I got past the Rock Tunnel part and I'm now in the Pokemon Tower right before fighting this ghost marowak, still under-leveled and I did teach a few of my Pokemon thief. Current team in attachment. I've also beaten pretty much any trainer I could before going into the Pokemon Tower, so now I can't get any of their items.

It would've helped if there was an Exp. All but it doesn't seem to be in this hack. I haven't played a Pokemon game that didn't have it in so long.

oak is in cinnabar mansion if i remember correctly.

@-Dragonsden- i just finished the johto release, best pokemon game ever in my opinion.

If i may, difficulty is a bit biased when we arrived in johto because of revival herb. They are sold just outside the johto HQ and with the insane amount of money we have, we can buy tons of those. This fact decrease greatly the difficulty of the game ( so much that i have forbidden myself using it after obtaining nidoqueen-Y because with assault vest she can tank everything and we can use revival herbs on the whole team in 2 switch too easilly ).

I wonder how you will increase the difficulty on next arcs because at the end of this release we have a full team lv 100 with perfect stats but i'm eager to see it.

I've done this run with nidoqueen-Y ( assault vest ), crobat-& ( choice band ), houndoom ( life orb ), duraludon ( eviolite ), starmie ( choice specs ) and snorlax ( leftovers ) or nidoking ( choice skarf ) depending of the foe.

I've so enjoyed the play that i think i will do another run with a different team. I've noticed a few dialogue still in spanish, is it usefull to you if i note when i see one and create a list to let you know in pm or someone else already doing this ?

At last thanks a lot for theses game hours !

Are any pokemon time-dependent? I've been looking for a Vulpix in the meadow for over 30 minutes and so far I haven't found any.
No time-dependent encounters in this game.

Vulpix is just a 1% encounter, from what I can gather. It's just luck. I gave up looking in my first playthrough, and only got lucky finding it after about 20-30 minutes total myself during this one.

So I replayed this on this release. Just beat oak and started Johto. Last time i stopped after beating lance. What a ride and it's not even over…

I can definitely say that this is the best (hands down) pokemon game I have ever played. The story is so good. The characters are so good. The game is difficult and downright hard in so many instances but all the tools to overcome the challenges are freely handed out and winning feels so satisfying.

The changes to moves and pokemon feel great and breathe new life into classic pokemon. Pretty much all my favorite Pokemon have new forms and playstyles and it's so awesome. I haven't even got a Nidoking-X yet but am so excited. My crobat evolved right before the oak fight and it was so satisfying beating him after his monologue about my crobat never being able to beat his legendaries.

Sincerely, thank you and I look very forward to continuing in Johto and Hoenn in the future. It's going to be verrrrrrryyy hard to play pokemon games in the future without your changes. Also, really, fantastic job on making Giovanni and team rocket so likable but still keeping their edge.
