I think like if you get farther into the storyline, Forrest will replace Brock.

I'm just thinking maybe a 9th badge??
that would be interesting. And the badge could possibly give you access to a secret area with pokemon only accessible there.

They're so detailed and almost look like they're straight taken from the anime (I know it's the point of the maps but still it has to be said :P)
I especially like your Pallet town incarnation, it's brilliant!

That's true, but the game itself already is going to be very large, since it will have all 4 regions incorporated. I think the only way to mix that in would be after you defeated all 4 regions, then go back and fight the kanto gym leaders, which obviously they would be immensely stronger. And you could fight them backwords perhaps? So Forrest is the last one you fight and you get access to the place I was talking before.

I wonder how CA replace Giovanni?

Or Instead of stronger Pokemon than before, you get a level cap for those gym leaders, which would make it very hard to defeat them. IE: the first gym leaders strongest pokemon would be lvl 15 and your cap is lvl 15 to make it an even battle.

Anyways, I'm just enjoying dazing off into dream land, as this will probably never happen.

There will actually be 8 regions: Kanto, Oran islands, Sevi islands, jhoto, hoen, orre, shinou, then fiore

I also thought of something: after you beat the Elite 4, the game creators always appear somewhere, usually a hotel, But there will be 4 Elite 4's, so it might seem like the creators are following you throughout the game. What will be done in terms of this

Replacing Giovanni as in after you beat him the first time in the original games, he steps down and leaves. From there on you never see him. I was just to referring to the subject if CA made a part where to go back and battle the original 8 gym leaders in kanto.

Maybe itll be Gary like in Gold and Silver, or maybe if its like the games he wont leave because your not Ash in this game your just some random guy.
 
guys, i just want to say this

cap never said that he would be doing this ... you just started and assumed that he would do so. while there is nothing wrong with this, don't talk about it like its definite in the game, because either
a-someone will get pissed that you're making all these assumptions, or
b-you'll be really disappointed if you think that its going to happen and it doesn't

cap's already putting alot of work into the game, dont just keep on slapping features on assuming that he'll do them :P

Scienceboy, I understand what your saying as i said above in my previous posts. But can't you agree that this is much better than 5+ pages of people yelling at each other about copyright infringement??

I'm just trying to say that we were trying to enlighten the mood. And for all these features we have been talking about, yes it wont happen for the most part, but I think this game is going to be spectacular either way.
 
i agree with you on the copyright part - but this thread, contrary to popular belief, does NOT need to be active 24/7. just because there isn't something to talk about doesn't mean that you have to make one. and while i enjoy talking about this stuff, i just don't want anyone to get false hopes, or pressuring cap into doing anything by talking about features that they think up that they think will definitely be in the game.

Agreed. Captain, I look forward to your next update, and hope it is soon to come. This game looks great the way you are setting it up in your head and on paper.
 
I'm rather excited to see Pewter and Mt. Moon. Since the game is based off the show, I wonder if there will be the giant moon stone with Clefairy's floating around :P
