Even if we get a fifth island, a part of me suspects that a fifth Tapu might be reserved for the end of the 8th Gen Pokedex, in much the same way Regigigas wasn't introduced until Gen 4. I'd like to think additional all-new Pokemon were possible in USUM, but it does seem fairly unlikely.

There is nothing to stop them returning to Alola - or having the island without a guardian because it buggered off somewhere - in the future, after all. If there IS a fifth island, I think it guaranteed there will be a fifth Tapu. But we might not get it in USUM.
 
A fifth island does not guarantee a fifth tapu. The island could be home to a brand new battle facility or home to an older legendary. There is no chance/possibility of a new tapu or new pokemon in USUM. it be a waste to put new pokemon in when gen 8 is right after USUM. New forms is what we are most likely getting. We already have two new forms already.
 
We shouldn't be calling it a "fifth island" in that sense, then. It's not really a major island if it doesn't have a Tapu...or didn't historically have a Tapu, if they're going to save it for Gen VIII, which I suppose they may if they go down that route.

That said, the SM guide was woefully inadequate, so it's entirely possible that the USUM guide will just be more comprehensive, rather than just having that much additional content.

We also can tell that We have Koko, Fini, Lele, and Bulu all and which have used a vowels, but a is not used. The Godess is Pele and her name could be Tapu Pala.

With how much they have changed stuff and how much they want to surprise us, we can't mark that out. And as I said, there is no way of saying if there is a new event pokemon.

Where is the slight evidence from?
 
I remember a video by GameXplain that points out that the symbol on Ultra Solgaleo/Lunala looks similar to the island challenge amulet, but with more rainbow colours replacing pink. They speculate that maybe Akala Island will be split into several islands that would be named after the Hawaiian words for the remaining colours of the rainbow.
