Pokémon VR: Game of Chance (OOC)

I'm not planning on catching any more Pokémon for a bit. I was thinking maybe Pikachu for Viridian Forest (if there was gonna be one) but, uh, she already has a starter and that just seems a little unfair or some other word... just weird.
 
I want a Pikachu too xD But I can't have a team identical to Skymin's But I'm actually thinking about catching a Doduo instead and let Viking have it as a means of transportation - IT CAN LEARN FLY omg haha - and as a badass mean birdie to throw into a battle or two. Pikachu would be... too bubbly for Viking. Unless it had the personality of a badass ninja. Ooouh.

And Pikachu isn't really a starter, other than in Yellow Version and this is not it :3

I'm starting to notice that Prince is catching (or planning to catch) purple-ish coloured Pokémon. I didn't mean for it to turn out like that, I swear! XD

I may or may not get a post up today. It depends on whether I feel better later on - right now I have a pounding headache, a blocked nose and a cough that kills my throat. Though I sound dead sexy right now with my croaky voice.

Thanks. I am being looked after and given soup, but I'm struggling to write cohesive sentences as it is. You do not want me posting while my head is woozy. XD
 
Today, I'm woozy ;; but it seems to work out fine.

Guys, don't get stuck forever in the very first routes :D though we are all interacting now so that explains the calmness of the thread, I realized. We're waiting for each other, of course. Hm, where did Raikiri go?
 
Raikiri had finals for the past two days, so Raikiri had to study and panic before taking them. Raikiri is done though (and he passed one with ease, if Raikiri may add), so he should be able to post sometime today depending how energetic Raikiri is. Raikiri needs to find inspiration to write post. If you can give Raikiri some inspiration, that would help him greatly.

I will hopefully post later on. I'm mostly better now, except for this damn cough that won't go away. x_x It's making my throat hurt so much, uguu...

After inspecting the IC thread (yes, I am working on a post :D), I realize that I must once again make an epic post in order to catch a Ponyta on Route 22. Methinks I will fail to do so D;

I actually haven't stepped up onto Route 22 yet but I plan to trek all the way up and speak to the PkmnLeagueGuards just because I can. Or just to explore, probably. And catch a Doduo, I think... perhaps... But first I'll stay the night at the pokémon center!

I'll move over to night soooon but I'll give Rai, Shawn, Prince and Chloe a chance to reach Viridian first :3



It's legal ;p many things are legal here. That made it sound as if this was the Netherlands or something. It isn't.
 
Chloe and Prince are already in Viridian.....at the pokemon center to be more exact so you have to wait just for two more :).

Oh gosh D:

Two reasons King doesn't enjoy intereacting with others:
1) It forces him to write somewhat shorter posts (okay well maybe quite a bit shorter) than usual, and he feels like he's slacking ._.
2) He is generally further behind everyone in how often he posts, causing him to feel as if he is holding whoever he is interacting with back. x3

ANYWHO, yeah. Sorry about the wait RHCP, I'll try to type something up real quick before sleeptime xP I've been swamped with extra homework lately and tests and all that stuff ._.

It's fine :D you can make joint posts if you're interacting with someone from now on :3

Also, when I'm writing several lines of dialogue in the same post for my character, it's because I want to make a longer post. Your character can still reply between each of those lines and doesn't have to act as if all that was spoken at once... sorry i I confused you.

I'll keep in mind that you don't like writing battles, and I'll go easy on you ;3 when it comes to catching pokémon and stuff.

As for me, I love writing battles! I miss some of my battles from old journey RPs... Like Doctor Who's Johto RP. Epic stuff, it was.

I think if I didn't have to write "Pokemon do this" at the start of every attack, I would be ok. :( that's why I kinda let merry do his own thing at the end of the rIval battle.
 
Battles are okay if I'm in the mood... The only problem I have with writing battles is that I know what I want to happen and I think ahead too much, so I can't type as fast as I can think and then I get flustered.

And I'm actually perfectly fine with interacting this way, I'm just worried about the people I interact with because I don't want to hold them back or prevent them form posting when they want ._.
 
@ King and Skymin - don't be afraid of experimenting with different ways of writing battles :3 Also, I've given it some thought and realized that the view I've had on battles up to now is a bit extreme. Sometimes one or two hits is all it takes to take a pokémon down. Especially when type effective moves are used. So I won't demand very long battles, as long as they would made sense in the game and some sense in a more realistic way as well.

I regard the trainer shouting commands as an extra dimension to the battle. Every trainer shouts their commands differently. Some just state the attacks, others try to order in what way or when or where the attack specifically shall be made. Other say several attacks at a time (something I think is a bit redundant). Does every pokémon understand their trainer perfectly? How long is the delay between order and effect? Can the opponent have time to react before the attack is made?

Actually, look at my last post in PTA for example of what I consider a good battle :3 teheh. I did it in a way I don't usually do there. A way more reminiscent of the game system; both trainers shout out attacks almost at the same time and then the attacks somehow counter each other. What happens depends on what attack meets what. I think it worked well, and it would make sense to think that way here in GoC, so I think Viking's battles will look like that in the future!

but you guys don't even have to make your trainers say the attack names if you want. Find your own style of writing :3
