The last post made before yours was in February of 2009. In almost every subforum of PokéCommunity there's a rule against reviving (posting in) threads that haven't been posted in for over a month. This once is okay, since you obviously didn't know (you'd have to be unaware to post in a thread that's been decaying for four years)- but be sure to read the rule threads in any forum you visit, to know where you should and shouldn't post.

You're correct, but in future please just report the post that revived the thread. Commenting and not reporting is generally... not really helpful aside from making the poster aware that they broke the rules- just makes for more clean-up work for the mod. ;)
