    Pok?mon Play Day at Toys R Us...failure...

    Ok, I got an offical email saying that was gona be a something called a Pok?mon Play Day today at Toys R Us at 9:30 am to 11:30 am. They were gona show a demo of Pok?mon TCG and they were gona give a promo card. So my friend went there earlier then me. And guess what? NOTHING HAPPEN!! I called Toys R Us, and they said they did have the Play Day, but nobody showed up. I asked and we still get the promo card, and they say sorry but no... Boy I had a great morning today. >_<;;;

    They are also gonna have it on July 24th.
    I think i said in one of my previous posts..

    wha..? it didn't happen??? oh well.. i couldn't go even if i wanted to XD

    *jacks out with MaxMan*

    I wanted to go to my Toys'R'Us to get the promo card, but I figured that they might not of had it anyway since Pok?mon is dead where I live. Usually the only Pok?mon fans I see around here are like 5 years old. Like the only person I see that is above the age of 10 and is still a Pok?mon fan (besides myself) is a friend of mine that is a year younger than me, 15. It's very rare to see anything Pok?mon where I live besides some cards at a store or the video games. :\

    I wish I could have gone.....

    I HAD TO GO TO A STUPID FAMILY REUNION!

    AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

    I went to two of them. The first was pretty nice, with two people there when I showed up at about 9:50 playing each other. One had an Unl deck, the other a Mod deck, both players 10-, a sorely missed age group in this area. I left my deck in the car, thinking that it would just be a demonstration, and the leader gave me a half deck of Forest Guardian to play against him with. After I beat him with it, he gave me my Beldum promo and I left relatively happy.

    The second one that I went to was much more disappointing. They had a YGO league going on at the same time, and the two leaders seemed completely oblivious to the fact that there were actually people there who wanted to play Pokemon. I asked them what I needed to do in order to get the promo, and they said that I had to play a game and fill out some packet. I again left my deck in the car, thinking that they would give me another half deck to play with. No dice there. Then, when they refused to give me my promo, I started talking to the other two Poke players at the place, asking them if they wanted to join in a tournament. The one leader stared at me hard and said angerly, "no soliciting," at which point I just left them cold.

    The first was a fair success, aside from the leader not really knowing how to play the game, for which he apologized and was extremely helpful in working with the two kids who were there. The second was utterly horrible, and that particular TRU will never get any of my business ever.

    Bah, my Toys R Us would never have anything like that...that's the place where I used to have my league, then they suddenly took it away, promised to give it back, then never did...I've been league-less for three years now, and the closest league to me is 50 or 100 miles away...I suppose from what I've heard about these things at TRU they can't be trusted with anything related to the pokemon TCG =/

    I used to go to the leagues, except they are all yu-gi-oh now and I have the worst yu-gi-oh cards anyway. I like pokemon better, and I have my next door neighbor to play against (he is in 6th grade now) and my little sister (who is in 5th grade) Neither of them have any good cards/decks so I let them use mine, I play unlimited because I don't have enough modified cards to make any good decks out of. I wish I could play against people on the internet (we'll you can but the program kinda sucks, it is nothing like the real game and I don't like it) so I just play with them for now...

    I have like two decks....I once played against my sister, her using one of my decks, but she hates pokemon....

    I don't have a league near me either...*sigh*
