Pok?mon XD

Finally, the game Pokemon fans have been dreaming of forever!
 
I hope it won't be named XD,because that sound like a joke.
 
I really hope they change the name, because everytime I think of XD I can't see them as seperate letters.... so it would be a problem XD.

Well let's just hope its the real kind of RPG we have all grown to love.
 
It'll probably stand for something crap like Xtreme Dimension or something (Or X-Ray Dimension), so I don't think they will. Either that, or Nintendo have realised what a great smiley XD is (XD)
 
Thats how it was with the PS2 and also the DS. I just wonder though if it will still keep the enjoyment that the handheld version has for so long, because what largely makes pokemon work as a RPG is that its portable.
 
Or Pokemon ROFL, which is what Ill be if they keep XD as the title. XD Rulez!
 
you know they did that bundle with colosseum, i hope they do one with this i was gunna get the colosseum one

XD is gay, and isnt that funny...just because people in forums use it for a face doesnt mean that they are making a "joke" game or title, they didnt even mean it that way, so i dont see why everyone refers to it...its kinda annoying...

Using 'gay' in a derogatory manner is against the rules of PC. The name doesn't bother me, they are just initials. Just wait until you find out what the XD actually means before making such rash decisions about it.

Also, remember that XD is, as of yet, a tentative title. It might be changed in the final version, or here in the States in the US version. Don't freak out if you don't like the title.

What worries me more is the spokesperson promised that this would be more like a 'true RPG', which is aimed at attracting a wider range of audience. That could mean so many things... That's got me more worried than the title of the game.

On top of that, console Pokemon games have a reputation of being largely different from their handheld counterparts. I just hope the game isn't butchered as a result.

Finally, I seriously doubt that Square-Enix is involved in any way, shape, or form, in this game. Of course, if they are, then problem solved. It'll work out!

It can be extremely hard at times to, "mess with success" and emulate what the gameboy version did for so many years.

To tell you the truth I have doubts that it will be the true pokemon game, all the fans have been waiting for in a console version, but we can only wait and see.
 
I have a feeling that this will not do better than Diamond/Pearl, but I still think that it will do very good. Up until now, they haven't made a true 3D Pokemon RPG (Stadium 1 +2 were just basically fighting gym leaders, but lacked any capturing of pokemon in the wild like the GBA games have, and it wasn't the same in Colosseum), so I have a feeling that this will be the best console pokemon game yet.
