Dugtrio or Golem can really survive a HP Ice/Water/Grass from Zapdos? I doubt that.

Ground types can't beat flying? Gotta be kidding... unless that flying type's name is Skarmory, flyers go down like flies as almost all ground type have access to Rock Slide thanks to FRLG. Flyers should run first thing against ground types unless

a) you can kill that ground type with an attack and you're faster than it
b) your name is Skarmory (or Aerodactyl, i guess)
c) you got buffed up with dragon dance, sword dance or whatever
