Pokeballs don't appear to function properly. I reviewed several videos that showed what a pokeball text doc should look like and my text doc appear to be similar. However when in game test mode while in battle trying to use a pokeball or a great ball the item appears to try to function as a Ether or a Leppa berry of some sort. Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't have time at the moment to dig into it, but can you compile your PBS files? (PBS file = the txt file inside the PBS folder)
Modify one (add a space somewhere and delete it (do not CTRL-Z)) and launch your game with RPG Maker.
It seems to me that the IDs for Pokeballs/Greatballs refer to the IDs of Ether or Leppa Berry.

Besides, did you change something in the PBS files and keep using an old save?

I Added a new item space in the text doc i copied a the old code for the pokeball and placed it in the new location. while in game it still functions like a ether or leppa berry

In addition to pokeballs not functioning Dreamballs also try to work as a ether or leppa berry. Is their an event that has to be triggered to allow pokeballs to work?

I suspect it's not a problem of code or whatever.
Try with a new save game?
