Suggestion: Pokecommunity App

Ever since I baught an ipod touch, I have noticed how much easier it is to take my ipod with me instead of my macbook everywhere to browse the web, but one problem is that, on the ipod touch/iphone, safari take forever to load web pages, facebook solved this by creating an app, so I was wondering if Pokecommunity could do the same. I know the flaws this idea has like Pokecommunity has few to no Iphone/Ipod touch app developers.
I know it is not neccesary, but it would make Pokecommunity stand out from most forums, even though it already is. So take some time to consider it and tell me your response.

1. It's $100 to list the App, not that Steve doesn't have the money.
2. Facebook is different from a forum. Though, I agree it'd be easier, but what would it load? The forums in a list?

If I knew iPhone SDK, I might attempt it, but alas, I do not.

oh I didn't know it costs $100 to list an app. It could list stuff like pms, vms, etc.
there is always cydia...

Anyways, it could have the tabs like FB's app but for PM's, VM's and the forums.

it could be a neat little way to get more traffic to the site.
and ya it could also have a chat option like on the FB app, notifications could appear as push notifications for pm's, vm's, friend requests
Edit: also you could subscribe to only certain sections, so it doesn't have to load all the sections of the forum

There's an iphone version of this site. If you go under themes (on your ipod/iphone) it'll be there. I personally don't like it as I can't view VM's and IMO my ipod loads PC very very quickly. That might actually be a fact, because it seriously loads quickly.

That's designed for people browsing PC with their ipod/iphone with a browser, not an app

If it wasn't going to cost money for something that isn't necessary, I'd agree, but I honestly don't think money should be wasted on this. :/

But it works fairly similar to an app. The point is, it can be used for easier access through an ipod rather than loading a traditional html. Trust me, I know what an app is. Sure it doesn't have push notification, but I think it's a rather acceptable as an app substitution.

Personally, I'd rather use the main site than use an app

You could create a link to PC from your app page thing (I don't quite recall how to do it, but I've done it with BBC's iPlayer) as a workaround? =/

ya that would be great I have it jailbroken, so it is no problem, just one problem, a lot of people don't have it jailbreak and will start to complain about it...
