Well, as a fanboy, i never thought that nintendo/gamefreak tried hard at all(with the original RPG's, not the spin-offs).
the fanbase is big enough, so i doubt that nintendo would sacrifice originality just to get a few more people to like it.
But they just put too much effort into the crappy spin-off games.
since when can you catch pokemon by drawing circles around them?

I believe pokemon has deviated so much from the original days. I believe the games could've been a lot better, and the tv show- has become a joke

I'm also interested when he said this. Most likely he never said this.

On topic: If the games were losing their value, then they wouldn't keep selling like hotcakes in a poor town. People just love the games and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. Just look at Diamond, Pearl, and soon-to-be Platinum.

I do know that Satoshi Tajiri did endorse the Pokemon Special manga as the best representation of his concept, so it's not completely implausible that he made a comment about the anime at some point. And considering how many people mistake him as the creator of the anime, he probably would have at least acknowledged its existence at some point.

And it's ironic that Pokemon fans go on about the anime going downhill when Pokemon haters complained about the anime from day one. Nostalgia sure is a powerful drug.

As for the games, seriously. Do you really want to go back to the days of one-type domination and a shipload of glitches? The system just keeps getting deeper and more satisfying each gen. Pokemon was only "cool" back in the day and now a supposed "laughingstock" because there are a ridiculous amount of people who can't think for themselves.

It has been said many, many times, there will be no G/S/C remake. The only reason that R/B were remade was so that you could Catch E'm All. Every Pokemon in G/S/C is obtainable via an event, or from R/S/E.

They are not trying too hard, in fact, I don't believe they are trying hard enough.

Nintendo just said there was no need for a new one. Even though it's discouraging there is still hope for a remake.

So anyways Nintendo has good enough Pokemon for now.

Ironic thing is that the show has become much more successful than the Special. *watches out for Netto Azure*

Absolutely. Mention you like Pokemon in the wrong place and you're likely to get crucified and then have rotten tomatoes thrown at you. For once being the most popular franchise out there, Pokemon has become shockingly hated by people in general.

Although the series IS losing its value. Diamond and Pearl have been extremely disappointing thus far. The anime has sunk to an all-new low, and the latest generation of games have been bland and dull. The series is in need of a serious revival.

It's because people are too lazy to pick up a freaken book and TV is the most powerful and COMMON source of media out there! And keep that comment to yourself!

I don't see a reason to do that. I didn't say anything insulting, just common knowledge about the franchise. You even backed me in your own post.
