Pokemon Adventures- Gold and Silver

That oughtta teach Team Rocket not to mess with me or my friends...

Murray watched smiling as Blitz, Totodile and Shadow beat up the Rocket grunt. Then he saw him grab his chest and pass out.

"Humph...he had it coming...Let's get outta here, guys...And Totodile, next time you move my wheelchair, go a easier on it, or I could end up like that douchebag over there..." he said pointing towards the thug.

Totodile nodded and gently pushed Murray's wheelchair out of the Pokémon Center (or the ruins of it) Shadow followed from behind.

"Let's go see the guys, see what's up with them..." he said, still smiling.

Meanwhile in the faraway labs.

"Almost there...Ta-dah! The mask is on! now, let's plug this thing to turn on the life suppo..." the scientist said connecting some wires but the burned man grabbed his throat and tossed him aside, knocking him out.
"Where am I?" he said as a woman entered the room. "Glad to see you're still alive, Mick. You're in one of our labs...You're safe..."
"Wh-what happened? Last thing I saw was my flaming balloon falling on top of me...And now I'm here...What's going on?!"
"Calm down. We found you and took you here. Now you tell me how did your balloon catch on fire." the woman said.
"Well, Cas, I was stealing all these Pokémon from their trainers, and was going to get away in my balloon, but a kid came up there on his Gastly and took the Pokémon back...He set my balloon on fire and jumped out of it."
"Where was it and how did the kid look?"
"I think I was in Violet City. And the kid had mangled hair and wore a white shirt...but he can't have survived that fall..."
"Okay. But just to make sure, I'm gonna send someone to check. You rest up, Mick." she said and exited the room, and took out a walkie talkie.
"Meyers, you copy? I need something taken care of, over."
"No, problem, boss" a girl's voice said. "Where do I have to go? Over."
"Violet City. Look for a kid with a white shirt and messy hair who has a Gastly. And bring him here to the base. Over"
"Roger that. Over and out." the girl said and sent out a Crobat. "Crobat, take me to Violet City, fast!" she said grabbing the bat as it took off.

Tristan climbed off of Suicune's back and hugged Iceberg.
"Prinpluup! Prinplup!" Iceberg said happily, since his trainer was safe and didn't have any injuries.
"I'm okay, Iceberg.." Tristan told him. "I don't know what happened, though... the place just burst into flames." Tristan said, then looked up at Suicune. "Thank you..." He said.
Suicune nodded, and ran off into the distance.

Soon, a blue haired young man ran into the scene, a girl in a bathing suit with bright hair behind him. They both stopped in front of the burned down Pokemon Center. "Oh... we're too late..." the man with blue hair said.
Tristan looked at him. "Who are you?" He asked.
The blue haired man looked at him and put out his hand. "I'm Falkner, this city's Gym Leader." He answered.
"Oh...!" Tristan had no idea that was who he was. He shook his hand. "I'm Tristan... your next challenger." He said. "But.. what are you doing here?"
"Oh," Falkner said. "I was warned about the fire, so I quickly used my flying-type Pokemon to get this young lady, Misty... the Water-Type Gym Leader in Kanto, so she could use her Pokemon to put out the fire. My flying Pokemon are fast, but apparently not fast enough to get to Kanto and back before the PokeCenter burned down..." He said sorrowfully.
Tristan thought it was pretty cool how he met two Gym Leaders in one day, one from Kanto, the most famous region in the Pokemon World.

"Hey, wait.." Misty said. "I hear voices in the building... are there people trapped in there?" She asked. "Guess there's only one way to find out," Falkner said, running in, Misty behind him.
Tristan wanted to leave this to the Gym Leaders, until he heard a certain voice. Murray's. "I thought Murray was already out..." He said, and ran inside.

Raine winced as she stood feeling another wave of pain erupt from her leg she collapsed again. "Spark it hurts" she whispered voiced laced with pain as she heard. "Vul...vulpix" and felt a Pokemon nuzzle her knee. "Spark could you go get help" she said praying the Vulpix would stick around until spark got back.

"Pichu! Pichu!" Spark exclaimed rushing after Tristan as he found Murray "Pi! Pichu! Pichu Pichu!" he exclaimed tugging on Tristan's pant leg trying to get his attention so Raine could get help.

Tristan ran into Murray, along with the two Gym Leaders. He assumed he was okay, since he was going about as normal. "What happened in there?" He asked, when he felt Spark tug on his leg. He turned around. "Huh? What is it, Spark?" He asked. Spark lead him out of the Pokemon Center, so Tristan turned to Murray. "You can tell us out here, 'kay?" He said, and walked out of the Pokemon Center with them, and saw Raine with a Vulpix.

Spark looked up at Tristan getting his attention before pointing to the burn on Raine's leg as he watched the Vulpix nuzzle his trainers knee. "Do you want to be caught by her?" he asked the Vulpix.

"She seems like a nice trainer who needs more Pokemon...yes I do" the Vulpix nodded before looking back up at Raine.

Tristan saw the burn on Raine's leg. "Ah..!" She must have gotten burned while they wre trying to escape the Pokemon Center. He rushed over to her, and took out his magically appearing out of nowhere just when he needs it bag, and took out a burn heal he had bought in the Pokemon Center the other day.
"Okay, this might sting a little at first, but it'll heal your burn.." He told her gently. He then sprayed it on her burned spot on her leg. Then he got some cloth, and wrapped it around the spot.
He then scooted a bit closer, and began to put his face near her cheek. ... too soon He thought, and pushed himself back.
"Um.. what lured this Vulpix here? Did you want to catch it?" he asked

Raine winced as he sprayed the burn heal on her leg before wrapping some cloth around it. "I'm not sure why the Vulpix came up to me...but I think it wants me to catch it" she said a faint blush on her face since she had felt his breath on her cheek before he pulled back. The Vulpix looked up at them and nodded yes when she heard what Raine said not knowing that the poor girl was unable to see.

Raine nodded "Yeah...since I can't see I don't know where to throw the Pokeball." she said embarrassed as she blushed harder and the Vulpix looked up at her confused.

"She's blind" Sparks said clearing things up for the Vulpix.

"Oh she is?" The Vulpix replied.

"Yeah" Spark sighed sadly looking up at Raine and Tristan.

"Um-hmm," Tristan nodded. "Well... since the Vulpix is going to be your Pokemon, I can't throw the Pokeball for you... so..." He got close to her, and used one hand to hold her waist gently. He used his other hand to to hold her arm. He carefully moved it to where when the she threw the Pokeball, it would hit the Vulpix. He would leave the rest to her. "Now throw the Pokeball."

Raine blushed as Tristan grabbed her waist gently lining up her arm so she could throw the Pokeball. "Now throw the Pokeball."

Raine nodded still blushing as she threw the Pokeball holding her breath. Spark watched as the ball hit the Vulpix's forehead and the Pokemon was enveloped in a red light. The ball shook back and forth for a few seconds and Raine smiled hearing it click. She knew Tristan was right next to her and turned her head "Thank you" she whispered kissing his cheek blushing harder as Spark chuckled at the two.

Tristan smiled, frozen for a moment when she kissed his cheek, then smiled. "..Congratulations on your first catch." He said.
Tristan didn't move away from her after the catch. He stayed close to her. He felt comfortable with her.

Falkner walked up to them. "Hey, I'm going to take Misty back to Kanto. Tristan, if you still want to challenge me, come to the gym in about 30 minutes. I should be back by then."
Tristan nodded.
Falkner threw a Pokeball up into the air. "Pidgeotto, use Fly!" He said, and a beam of light emitted from the Pokeball and formed into a Pidgeotto. The Pidgeotto swooped down so they could get on it's back, then it took to the sky.

Darkfire wandered around his red and white circle-shaped home... or more like a prison for him. He walked up to the wall, and looked at his hand. His claw popped out. "..." Darkfire stood there for a minute. He looked back on the past five years of his life. He used to live happily with his family... until that stupid Team Shadow attacked. He lived peacefully in the Dark Cave with his mother, Charizard, and his brother, Charmeleon, when he was just a little shiny Charmander. He was shiny because he was a purebred. Then those two armored fellows showed up... they killed his Mother and Brother, and captured him. Then they forced him to watch their leader kill those three kids. Or, was it four? He could swear there was another kid there.
Darkfire started to use his claws on the wall. Not to scratch his way out. He knew he couldn't do that. But to write. He started carving sentences into the wall with the Unown language (To me, Unown writing is pretty much Pokemon writing).

(Just so you all know, I didn't make this up. I got it from another site. I just thought it would be perfect to use for this.)
20 minutes later, he finished. He looked at his carving on the wall:
I am trapped.

I am trapped and alone in this cold, dark pit. My life has come to its metaphorical end, for slavery is all that the future holds for me. As I have nothing to write with or upon in here, I can only speak these words and hope that perhaps somewhere, maybe in some other universe or reality completely, my voice will be heard, and my story remembered.

I tried my hardest to fight them, but there was nothing I could do. Their power was far too great for my meager skills. I gave it my all, but I was defeated and reduced to this prison. The chains hold heavy on my soul now, and I can only imagine the pain that this bondage has in store for me. I had a good run keeping away from it; a lot of us did. It seems in recent years that the power of the enemy has grown beyond all fathomable levels. We have lost. It seems that our only destiny is to be captured by these tyrants and forced to fight our own like dogs for the rest of eternity. It's hard to imagine for me, really. The thought that sooner or later I'll be out there attacking and harming my own people against my will...if I can even call them "my" people any more.

It's a funny thing, how the process works. Don't ask me how, for I'm not even sure they themselves know exactly what happens. Each time one of my people is captured and imprisoned, no matter how willfully they fought the enemy before their defeat, they slowly begin to turn around to the side of the monsters' during their captivity. It happens without fail. You could never imagine the pain one feels after watching one's friend become a slave to that which he has strongly fought for so long, and after such a short time in bondage, succumb to the enemy's every demand, and even come to find companionship in them. It's a sort of fail-safe brainwashing system. hell, it'll happen to me soon, no matter how much I don't want it to.

The only thing I can remember, the last image burned into my brain, is the sight of my mother - the tears streaming down her face as she watched my defeat from the cave we lived in. She told me not to provoke him, but after seeing the beast, there was nothing that could hold me back. These were the beings that took my brother from us, after all! It didn't matter how many of my own I had to fight; I was determined to finish him off. Oh, how foolish I was. If only I had listened to mother...I'm sure she'll suffer the same fate as I at the hands of these wretched creatures.

But still...

Maybe things aren't just as bad as they seem. I mean, after all, it's a proven fact that under the supervision and training of these other beings, my people become more powerful than they could ever have hoped to be on their own in the wild. What's more, they seem to genuinely care for us. Yeah, they feed us, give us shelter, and even heal us of our battle wounds. Sure, the scars are from fighting those who were once my friends, but maybe, just maybe, in the name of my Trainer, that's just all right...

Things aren't as bad as I first imagined. No, not at all. I'm seeing things differently now. I think that when my Trainer decides to call me out to battle, I'll do my very best for him.

I know I will, because, after all, a Pokemon's purpose is to help its Trainer become a Master, right?

Raine smiled "Thanks" she said resting her head on his shoulder glad he didn't move away. She felt comfortable and safe around him knowing that he was able to protect her just like her brother had. I'll do whatever I can to make you proud of my big brother...I'll prove that just because I'm blind doesn't mean I still can't succeed on a journey she thought determined as Sparks smiled at her as she called the Vulpix out. "I'm going to name you Lilly" Raine said happily choosing the name of her favorite flower for the Pokemon as it cried out in agreement.

Tristan smiled as she named her new Pokemon. "Welcome, Lilly." Tristan said.
At the same time, Iceberg gave Lilly a warm smile. Iceberg hadn't been paying much attention to Tristan and Raine. He was practicing his attacks for the Gym Battle.

Tristan, seeing that Raine was just as comfortable as he was, put both his arms around her and held her a bit closer to him. He stayed like that for a few minutes, until he heard something. He looked up into the sky. Falkner's Pidgeotto was flying down toward the Gym. Tristan knew it was now time to earn his First Gym Badge. "...Hey, Raine. You sure you don't wanna challenge the Gym Leader, I know you can't see, but I know that if you try, you can do it.."

Raine smiled and shook her head. "Gym battles aren't what I want to do... I hope to become a Pokemon breeder someday" she said smiling "I'll be cheering for you during your gym battle though" she added her smile growing bigger as for the first time in a long time she was truly and genuinely happy.

Spark smiled "Nice to meet you Lilly. I'm Sparks and welcome to the team. I'm sure you'll make a great addition to it" he said happily.

Lilly smiled at Sparks and Iceberg. "Thanks for the warm welcome" she said thrilled to have found a sweet trainer with a nice Partner Pokemon. "So how long has she been a trainer?" Lilly asked.

"About two days now" Spark said with a smile glad that Raine had come this far with good friends in that short amount of time.

Murray had stayed inside what was left of the Pokèmon Center, staring at the burned down place and doing some thinking. Totodile was using Water Gun against some walls to polish it, and Shadow was meditating just like his trainer.

Murray sighed, and then turned around.

"Let's get going..." he said, and Totodile pushed his wheelchair out of the place. He saw Raine with a new Pokémon.

"Hey, guys!" he said and looked at Lilly. "Who's that?"

Totodile and Shadow moved towards Lilly, so they could introuduce themselves.

"Hi, I'm Totodile, and this here is Shadow! And you are?" the Water Pokémon said happily.
"Umm..." Shadow said "Aren't you...forgetting someone?"
"Oh, yeah, and that kid on the wheelchair is Murray. He is a friend of Raine and us."
Shadow sighed.

Meanwhile, the girl on the Crobat landed behind some building, silently so that she wouldn't get caught, and got off.
"Crobat, come back." she said sending her Pokémon back to her Pokéball. "Now it's time to look for that kid. White shirt, messy hair. Reminds me of someone..."

Lilly smiled "Nice to meet you guys. My name is Lilly. Raine just caught me with the help of her friend. "I'm really glad to be a part of your guy's group now and I hope I can help out a lot" she added smiling. Raine heard the others approach and smiled more managing to reach for Murray's hand from her place in Tristan's arms.

"You okay Murray?" she asked wincing slightly as she shifted her burned leg slightly.

"Yeah...It's just...I can barely move...stupid plaster...And Team Rocket has been wreaking havoc all over this city. And I don't know why...but I feel they will come back...again..." Murray said gloomily "and I wish I was in a better shape to fight them...Oh, whatever!" he said and smiled "I'm going to see some matches with the local Gym Leader. It should be fun."

"Welcome, then, Lilly! GLad to see Raine's got more help." Totodile said.
"And the more we are, the merrier..." Shadow said "Welcome to the family, Lilly..."

Meanwhile, in another part of Violet City...

"If I'm gonna go unnoticed, I'm gonna need some threads..." the girl said and entered a clothing shop. She grabbed some clothes and went to the changing rooms, to "try them on". The shop assistant told her she looked great on them.
"Okay, I'm gonna change back to my usual clothes." the girl said and went back into the changing rooms.
Five minutes later...
"Whoa, that girl's taking a long time to get changed..." the shop assistant said, and then he noticed smoke coming from the changing rooms. Desperately he ran there to see the problem, and saw a big hole in the floor. He stood there staring at it confused and then he passed out.

Raine nodded "If they do come back I'll have your back" she said still smiling softly.

Lilly smiled "Thanks" she said happily watching as Raine stood being mindful of her leg. "I'm gonna go for a walk with Spark and Lilly, I'll be back before you two battle the gym leader" she said as Spark stood as well nodded he sent Murray and Tristan a look that said that he and Lilly would take good care of her.

Red came back after helping save a lot of people. He wiped ashes of his forehead and walked up to the group. He saw Blitz limping. He noticed something about the Pokemon and wanted to name it. "Hey Growlithe. Why don't I name you Blitz?" Red asked. Blitz fell onto his face. "Now he realizes thats my name." Blitz said. He saw the new Pokemon. "Oh hi. My name's Blitz. What's yours?" Blitz asked the Vulipx. Earthquake came in close behind and rolled into Blitz. Blitz yelped in pain. He limped back and scratched Earthquake. Earthquake didn't do anything knowing he probably deserved it. He looked at Vulpix. "Hi! My name's Earthquake! What's yours?" Earthquake said happily.
