Name: Dante Falyr
Age: 18
Gender:Male
Region: Jootto
Personality: Dante strives to be a good captain and tries to be just like his father. He tries to do everything as if he was his father. Therefore, Dante tries to know every member of his crew, as well as tries hard to earn their respect. He also doesn't really care about what other captains and people say about him, as long as he has the respect and loyalty of the crew. However, unlike his father, Dante believes that the bond between humans and Pokemon, not technology, will be the most important step for better exploring and prefers that his crew has befriended Pokemon.
Like his father, Dante is a solid judge of situations, most likely because his father was also, and often spends several seconds analyzing situations. Unlike most sailors, Dante doesn't believe in superstition or myths and legends. However, if the words 'treasure' is mentioned at all in myth, legends, superstition or in conversation, it immediately catches Dante's attention, although at first he will act like he didn't hear it. This is most likely from his upbringing, where, like most people in the colonies, his family didn't have much and Dante often dreamed about finding treasure.
Dante tries to be calm and in control during tough situations. Nonetheless, if a situation doesn't come out the way he thinks it will, he will make some rash and panicked decisions. If this happens, another member of the crew better offer tactics, or it could be the end of the ship. However, in most of these situations, luck has been on his side, and his incredible luck has gotten him out of many predicaments. This streak of luck has made many superstitious captains and sailors think that Arceus is looking after him. Dante often dismisses these sayings as myth.
Appearance: Dante has quite a stocky build, standing at 6'3''. He has short, black hair that is always in an unorganized mess. He also always wears a cloth headband around his head. When on deck, he wears his blue and black 'captains jacket' (which he leaves unbuttoned) with a plain white undershirt and a pair of normal 'commoner's pants. A strangely lax type of wear for a captain.
History: From his youth, Dante's life had been filled with seafaring and life aboard at first. Born in the colony city of Golde-rod, Dante spent most of his time around the docks, watching ships and various explorers come into the port along with his pet and friend, Rayne, a Totodile that Dante befriended when he was little. He found the small Totodile abandoned on the docks, looking for it's mother. Dante took him in and kept the Pokemon safe.
When he was 9, Dante's father, who was a captain of a small exploring vessel named Maiden Mist, decided to take Dante along on his next exploration. Unfortunately, his mother disagreed, and forbade him to take part. But such a petty thing would not deter Dante, and he his Totodile snuck out of his house in the middle of the night, stowing away on his father's ship until they set sail. Once they took off and were a distance away from port, he revealed himself. Although he expected to be greeted with surprise, he was only greeted with mundane 'Aye(s)'. His father had anticipated his move. This was quite an important lesson for Dante. It taught him to know his foe.
On his journey, Dante was able to see and explore the many places of the world, as well as learn various tips and lessons about ships and the seas. Dante traveled from place to place for 2 more years, trading exotic goods, and claiming and exploring new lands. When Dante was 11, he had learned most of 'the tips and tricks of the trade' and became an official member of his father's crew. He even received his own saber, given as a gift from his father. This fine sword was made in the Sevilli Archipelago, a place famous for making sabers.
3 more years past, and when Dante was 14, he had already moved up the ranks, becoming an important member of his father's crew. With his 15 birthday soon approaching, his Totodile soon evolved during the trip, becoming a Croconaw. Many other people of the crew had powerful Pokemon, but Dante's new Croconaw could hold it's own fairly well in battles.
On the day of Dante's 14th birthday, a terrible storm hit near the Whirl Islands, trapping the Maiden Mist in it. The wind battered the ship, sending it careening in abstract directions and slamming it against the waves. The crew battled valiantly for the ship as the hurricane-winds tore at it from all directions. All of a sudden, a rope for the mast of the ship snapped, and swiped across the deck. Dante was running to help another member of the crew when the rope hit him, sending him overboard. His Croconaw jumped over in the panic, in hopes to save Dante. Rayne was able to grab Dante before he sank, and was able to keep them afloat through the storm. Overwhelmed by the water and sheer exhaustion, Dante blacked out. However, Rayne was able to stay conscious. Eventually, they were washed up on on shore on the mainland. When Dante came to, he panicked. The ship, as well as the rest of the crew, was nowhere to be seen. There wasn't even the slightest hint of the ship ever even being in the area.
Dante, now void of a father, ship, and crew, had no way to get back to Goldenrod. Luckily for Dante, people began to hear about him being the only survivor of the ship, and offers for jobs, missions, and explorations began to appear. Dante began work for hire, hoping to eventually find out the demise of the ship. He traveled on many different ships with Croconaw, under many different captains and crews, all the while honing his skills with his saber, and making a living. During an assignment, Dante found and befriended a lonely Duskull. Eventually, a contractor caught wind of Dante's exploits and offered him a ship. Dante was at first skeptical about the man, but eventually swayed to his offer of a ship and a crew. He wants to name the ship, Mist Parter in hopes he will find his father, but is still waiting for the feedback from his crew.
Pokemon: Croconaw- Rayne- lvl 40- Is always at Dante's side, no matter what; Duskull- Dusk- lvl 32- loves to wander off and disappears and reappears randomly

Dear Sir
I've have recently reach your request for a captain of a vessel, and your offer... intrigues me. I know word of my travels have been spread around for a while, as well as my skills with a saber and leadership. My father, Richard Falyr, was also in charge of a ship, almost the same as this one, and I have gained ample experience watching him and being a part of his crew. The experiences I have learned there will be applied . However, as you know, this be the first time I will own a ship. Therefore, it will be most appreciated if you are able to provide me with a capable crew. Unlike other captains, it would be preferred that they have Pokémon as companions. This exploration will be a complete success when I am captain.
May the winds blow your way,
Dante Falyr
Name of ship- Mist Parter
