It wasn't being an offence... I just think shading looks good on sprites....
 
Big Update! more to come in a little bit:
Ive been working on figuring out how to edit certain events and with the help of a tutorial i found i managed to put some cool stuff into the hack. The beta will have alot of changes that add more detail and depth to the story line and make it feel more like a real game.

1. I put in a new water tile that will appear on certain maps like in the swamp in this screen.
2. The mystic water guy now gives you TM 44 Rest.
3.This item ball now contains a great ball
4.The aid now gives you a full restore instead of a potion.

When you return to Professor Gary with the secret files his aide will give you another experimental pokemon. Its a psychic pikachu. I was thinking of changing the name because it looks pretty cool. I tweaked the stats and move sets so the final form should be a pretty **** good pokemon. The Psychic Pika evolves with a Crystal Ball.
 
this hack is looking really good KUTGW (keep up the good work.)

I need everyones opinion on this. What do u think of usuing purple as the main tileset color. Heres what i had in mind-->
 
I haven't been posting here lately and I have to say the amount of progress you have made is admirable. You should change the main tileset color it looks really cool in my opinion.
 
I edited another part of the tile set, the grass and the trees and chnaged the flowers to purples complementary color, yellow. Thinking of Putting in a yellow/oarnge water for this same reason but that may thow it off.
Edit: Here is the complete new tileset for now. I decided just to change the water to a darker shade of blue.

since that color changed does that mean pokeball's will now appear purple?

there are a lot of new good graphic pokemon games
but i still like the old gbc games ^_^

I like the new purple/blue tile thing. It gives the game a new feel, maybe you can give the game a new name to match it. I've done the new rival & slantrex back now, attached below. When will the next beta release be?
 
Yea i was thinking of a name change for the game. Maybe Pokemon Purple? I was goin to use that name but there was a hack with that name when i started this hack so i coudlt use it, now that hack is dead so i could use it. What do you think?

The next beta will be out in a few weeks, itll be a huge update, going up to the 4th town, 3rd badge. it will take a while because its going to be a huge city that you will have to travel through a jungle to reach.

DM: The sprites looks great like always, the rival rocket looks perfect. For the beta i need Overworlds for the rival and for the first sloop form. And i will also eventually need over worlds for Mewthree, and Mystoo. These wont be in the next beta anyway tho so they arent too important.
 
Sorry man i hate all that purple.
 
Good idea DM, i think Amethyst fits the best being one of the only purple stones. Can a mod please change the title of this thread?
 
New overworlds even the ones that didn't need to be in the next beta. Don't I work fast XD. & I think you might need to PM a mod to get the name changed.
