"Don't worry." Artemis said as he noticed that Orva was looking around for something to stuff the amulet in. "It's not that bad while it's in my pocket." he continued, pulling of his remaining glove and carefully wrapping the amulet into it before he stuffed it back into his back pocket. The accessory was still giving of a dull stinging of heat, but most of it was dampened by the cloth. Artemis winced slightly, but did his best to put on a brave face, "See? I'm fine." he said, a bit half-heartedly "We should get going before more darklings arrive."
Raikou was still glaring suspiciously, but he realized, just as Artemis did, that this was neither the time nor place to start figuring this out.

Orva nodded slightly and turned. "Which way is out?" She asked. Umbreon sniffed a few time then began walking northeast. "I guess that way. I wish I had Umbre's sense of smell." She paused then grinned, "Well I guess I do sometimes." Umbreon made a noise in the back of his throat that sounded like laughter. Orva shrugged and continued on. He was in no hurry and had no intention of letting anyone fall behind. Though Orva would rather get out of the cave as soon as she could she knew Umbreon was doing the right thing by walking rather than running. No point in letting anyone get lost.

Despite all of the recent events, Artemis felt Umbreon's laugh spread to him and gave a small chuckle as he followed the dark pok?mon and its trainer. "Yeah, I guess you would know. By the way, how did you become a pok?morph?" he asked, walking in stride with Orva, they had a long walk ahead of them and talking would help to keep his thoughts away from more unpleasant subjects. Besides, seeing as he had now related a good bit of his past to Orva he might as well get to know her. Raikou trodded behind, silently listening to every word uttered.

"I'm not really sure how. When I first started out on my journey I had an Eevee and the amulet I showed you. My mom gave me that the day I started my journey. It was about a month after I had left home when I was attacked by a group of Pokemon. I guess they were Darklings but they could have just been normal Pokemon who were in a bad mood. Anyhow, I only had three Pokemon including Eevee. We were out numbed one to ten. Things looked pretty hopeless then..." Orva paused. This was the hard part of the story. She wasn't quite sure why it had happened. "Now that I think about it I remember a light. Maybe it was the amulet glowing. I was wearing it around my neck then. Then I felt really weird for a few seconds. The light vanished I felt different. I also noticed Eevee was missing. I looked but I couldn't find him. Then I noticed that my hands were brown and white and I had a tail. Rather shocking to a kid who'd been pale and tailess a few seconds ago." She paused to remember the feeling of complete confusion that had filled her mind. It was funny now that she thought about it.

"Umbre on breon umbre." (Then you got scared and ran.)

Orva snapped back to reality and grinned. "Yeah. But who wouldn't? Finding myself half Eevee was, well scary to say the least. I ran. I was much faster with Eevee's speed so I got away from the herd of Pokemon and ended up somewhere in a forest. It took me twelve hours to figure out how to get back to normal. After that I started trying to change back into a morph. Once I got the hang of it wasn't so weird. Until Eevee evolved. Then it felt weird again."

"Umbreon on umbreon." (It's not my fault it's yours.)

"How's that?"

"Umbreon um umbre umbre umbreon." (Eevee evolve into Umbreon because their trainers care for them and train them well.) "Eon umbreon." (So it's your fault.)

Orva scowled then sighed. "Alright so it was partly my fault. But you're still the one who evolved. But I can't complain. I like being able to use attacks like Shadow Ball and Faint Attack. It comes in handy espesually these days." She thought for a moment or so longer then looked at Artemis. "So how did you become a Pokemorph?"

Both Artemis and Raikou listened intently to the story, although the boy missed out on Umbreon's editorial comments even though he could take a pretty good guess at what the pok?mon said. So he thought, hearing about Orva's first transformation She learned it naturally? Artemis was a bit surprised by this new evidence, he had always thought that becoming a pok?morph and actually being able to control one's power was something that required intense training under the supervision of someone who understood the process, but of course there had to be at least one person who had just learned it naturally, how else would the information have been passed on?
"I see..." he said slowly "My story is quite different from yours then, although probably not half as interesting, I'm afraid. You see, becoming a pok?morph was a conscious choice on my part. It happened about a year after I had begun my travels, not too long after I managed to track down and persuade Raikou here to join me."

"Raiko-ou-ra-ko-raaai-koui..."(Last time I fell for that I'm-a-poor-defenceless-little-orphan-and-really-need-your-help routine , believe me.) Raikou muttered with an attempted frown.

"I had more or less blurted out my desire to get rid of Ragnar at any cost to the doctor who made the graft for me, and it just so happened that one of his friends...another doctor, can't remember his name anymore, had been appointed to find test subjects for a top-secret project. Well, the good doctor must have dropped of my name to him at some point, because one day two guys in black suits came up to me and informed me that I had been accepted." he took a deep breath "I was one of the youngest in the group of about thirty test subjects. They'd hook us and our chosen pok?mon up with these strange machines." I still don't know what they did, but whatever it was it hurt, bad."

"Rai-kou" (tell me about it...)

"It wasn't really a user friendly method..." Artemis concluded the sentence quickly moving the story onward, unwilling to dwell on these particular memories "Well, after the first round of existence our membership had been cut down to seven. They told me they'd been close to calling it six. I was unconscious for a week. At that point I didn't really think it could get any worse."

"Raiko-ou-rai-rai-ai-ai-kooou!." (Look who's talking. You weren't the one who had to adjust to walking on two legs)

"Well I had to adjust to sending an electrical current down everything I touched." Artemis snapped, no longer able to ignore Raikou's editorial comments.

Raikou looked ready to retort, but seemed to think the better of it.

"Well" Artemis said, turning back to adress Orva "The rest of the procedure was a bit more enjoyable; we were taught how to tap into our newfound powers, as well as the restraint not to use them unnecessarily. We were actually rather excited, until the Donovan incident." his face darkened at the thought, noticing Orva's lack of recognition for the name he continued "There was this one morph, a Shuppet one, Oliver Donovan. He...didn't adjust as well as the others. He had these strange mood swings; friendly at one moment and ready to strangle people at the next, then one day he just lost it and started attacking everything in sight until he was...subdued. They named it morph-frenzy and claimed that it was because the Shuppet's will power was stronger than Oliver's, it sounded logical at the time, but now..." he shrugged "I'm not so sure. They referred to the amulets as 'meditative tools' claiming that they didn't have any real power. They put his amulet in circulation again, and soon enough; the number of people going crazy multiplied. Those who retained their sanity were scared off, quiting the project, except me. The project ran out of funding soon after, who cares how powerful the end product if you can't control it after all? I was the first and last to 'graduate' from that institution, under strict orders not to mention it to anyone. Not that it matters any more, Ragnar had everyone involved seized for their 'impudence'. And that's the end of my story" Artemis concluded, soon realizing just how long he had been droning on "I haven't bored you, have I?" he asked "Please try to ignore my long-windedness if you can.

OOC: Ack.. my time zone.. is very much off.. X.x

IC: Robin had remained unnaturally silent since the last time she had spoken. Now, she was merely walking in time with Orva and Artemis as they conversed, listening intently to each one of her comrade's history. At Artemis' last sentence, Robin shook her head vigorously.
"No, that wasn't boring at all! It was actually kind of awesome!" Robin exclaimed, although not too loud. She wanted to avoid as much clashes with Darklings as possible for the time being.

Now there's a first. Artemis thought for himself as he heard Robin's exclamation. There were many adjectives that Artemis would have put on the time he had spent in training, but awesome wasn't one of them. "Thank you." Artemis said with a minor chuckle, his conscious self couldn't understand how he could possibly react like that on anything concerning the feat that had nearly left him killed but it just came naturally. "Seeing as you have decided to join the conversation, would you care to relate a bit about yourself? How was your life before the resistance?" Robin undoubtedly knew as much about him as Orva did, seeing as she had been listening all along, even though she hadn't really contributed.

Raikou gave his trainer a peculiar look, the Artemis he knew had never been so talkative with others. It's his bussiness the pok?mon thought for himself I just hope he knows what he's doing.

Robin blinked once in a pause before starting.
"Well.. before all of this chaos.. I was traveling around with my Pokemon like most other Trainers. You know, just training.. stuff like that. One day I was called back home, and I was very excited. I thought it was going to be a pleasent visit with my parents, whom I hadn't seen in a while. But when I returned, I found a wasteland left behind by Darklings. Only a handful of people had survived. They tried to save my parents.. they truly did. Well actually, they just tried to save as much people as possible, but luck just wasn't with them that day. The only thing they managed to save was this."
At this, Robin stopped and retrieved her amulet from her pocket, holding it gently in her palm.
"It was my mother's, so they thought I should have it." Robin concluded.

OOC: *sobs* What an amazing turn of events...Makes me so happy..XD

IC:
"Move it! Move it! Move it! We have soldiers to save!" exclaimed Deunan. It seemed that Deunan was oblivious to all that happened during his lifetime. After all there isn't much a person can do when their life is made a living hell throughout the course of an entire lifetime....it goes from everyone who ever made him happy to those that ever made a positive change in his life..Deunan was one to always keep cool, although all the pressure of running an active army is weighing down on his sanity..and that was the only virtue he could really keep hold of. He lost true happiness, love, and the ability to be the one people look up to..but it was always his intent to keep it locked away from the others, he didn't want it spread..even if it were to cost his life. He has died once before...his only thoughts on the matter were..I cannot die twice...

The soldiers quickly moved along the sewers, splashing through the sewer water. "We're almost there...only 85 meters." said Deunan, half focused on his objective. They quickly moved, getting several meters by every half minute. "6...5...4...3...2...1..stop." ordered Deunan, looking up to find a ladder. "Climb here, I've made contact with the others fifteen minutes ago...they should be waiting upstairs." said Deunan. The members of squad 15 did as what was instructed an they climbed. After they all got upstairs one of the soldiers called to Deunan. "Umm....sir...we have a problem here...". Deunan made no comment and quickly climbed.. "What's the problem Private O'Riley?" asked Deunan as he got onto the floor. Before the private could answer he spoke. "Holy mother of GOD!". Deunan's jaw dropped in shock. Bodies were scattered all over the room. Blood, dripping from each body. "Its fresh....they're still here..stand your ground soldiers, I want those darklings dead..show absolutely NO mercy." ordered Deunan. The others responded with the usual "Sir yes sir". Shortly after his last orders shot were fired not so far from the room they were in. "Kill them all." said Deunan, his voice cold in anger.

Orva listened ot both Robin's and Artemis's stories. She felt that she had become a morph in a much kinda fashion than either of them. Robin had recieved her amulet after the lose of her parents and Atemis had been an experiment for the most part. But at least it was his choice to stay. "I guess there are several different ways to become a Pokemorph. After that day when I morphed I did some research but there's no more than a few eye wittness accounts saying they a saw a half human half Pokemon. I don't think people even think it's possible to be a morph."

"Umbreon breon." (Shows what they know.)

Orva grinned. "I suppose. How far are we from the exit anyway?"

Umbreon stopped and sniffed the air. "Can't be too far now. Maybe twenty yards or so."

"I can't see anything but that doesn't mean anything. Are we....what is it?"

Umbreon had his head held high and he was sniffing the air with his fur standing up. "Breon." (Blood.) "Umbreon eon umbreon. Bre breon." (I don't know where. It's not very close.)

"Well even so that's not a good sign." She turned her attention to Artemis adn Robin. "Keep your gaurd up. I get the feeling we're in for some trouble when we get out of here."

Several Darklings were literally tearing the last members of squad 18 limb from limb. Blood gushed after a soldiers neck was slashed by sharp claws. A trio of darklings surrounded the last left person of Squad 18, ready to attack. Deunan watched in horror as one of his comrades was going to be destroyed right in front of him. "NO!" exclaimed Deunan, in a volume of a lions roar. Deunan thought quickly, he looked at squad 16 members who stood behind him. "Stay back.." said Deunan, before going into action. Deunan ran towards the group unsheathing his fire blade and tossing it like a boomerang at a Darkling before in a flash pulling out a gun and shooting several others. He fired several shots at one and noticed the shots weren't hitting the target. His blade came back and he held it in one hand. The Darkling turned and faced Deunan. "Amy?!" exclaimed Deunan, noticing it was his girlfriend who was supposed to be dead. "I thought...you were dead..how?" asked Deunan. "I'm not your Amy anymore. I'm dead now, brought back by Ragnar. If you didn't notice its too late for you to save me..like you failed to do two years ago." said Amy, a now evil Darkling in the form of a Articuno. Deunan was speechless...he couldn't belive what was happening. "I see no reason for you to be alive anymore...if you're going to be one of them...and you're right.. I was too late...but that was a mistake I won't ever repeat again..." said Deunan, tears coming from his eyes. "Its too late for you...and soon...it will be too late once again..." said Deunan his tears steaming from the heat rising up in his body. Deunan's eyes flashed a dark red and that was the last that could be seen before he appeared several feet away, his flame blade nothing but a handle and Amy lying on the ground, black blood all over..Deunan had destroyed her...but only because she was no longer human..and there was no other way to save her..

Robin nodded.
"We'll just have to be ready for anything." Robin stated, being serious for once in her life. She retrieved two Pokeballs from her belt and enlarged them. She wasn't used to morphing, so it would make more sense to use her Pokemon.

Deunan stood there, blood was splattered all over him. Some of his own blood, and some of his adversary's. He went back to normal, though he wasn't happy...he was noraml. "Secure the area and secure Commander Jones.." said Deunan with no emotion to change how his voice sounded.

OOC: I must say.. look at all the views. O.O

OOC: XD (message is short.. duh)

"Agreed." Artemis said, releasing both Tyranitar and Metagross from their respective pok?balls, he didn't really feel up to doing any more morphing today, a choice Raikou agreed with wholeheartedly. "Speaking of preparation." he added, remembering that he still had Deunan's set "These four are Deunan's." he brought up the four pok?balls, "Tronec might be a bit exhausted, but Altaria, Charizard, and Metagross should all be capable and willing to join the good fight." he was a bit reluctant to use his deceased leader's pok?mon, even though he knew that Deunan would want to see them put to good use.

Ten minutes later..
"Sir. The perimeter's secure. No one is getting in or out without your consent." said a Commander Jones, commander after Second in Command Artemis D'argent. "Good. Now I want five soldiers patrolling near every security camera, and eight soldiers near absolutely every exit. We have no time to lose, Ragnar might decide to attack with even more troops at any given second. I have other matters to attend to. Deunan went into the main security room and booted up the supercomputer. He quickly acessed the communications module and dialed a number. Specifically Artemis' PokeNav.

*Beep*

"What the?!" Artemis was slightly startled by the sound of his pok?nav going off. He had completely forgotten about the thing, what with all the shape-shifting and battling. As he pulled it out, Artemis froze for a moment as he noticed who was calling.

"But-" Artemis stammered "-it couldn't possibly be-he was."

He pressed the pick up button and brought the device to his ear.

"Hello?"

It was a very unceremonius greeting to give someone who had just risen from the dead, but Artemis couldn't think of anything better.
