Robin merely nodded at Artemis' words. She believed him, but she still had the feeling that even the slightest cough or sneeze could attract trouble. The girl decided to remain silent and keep walking.

OOC: 300th post. ^_^
 
OOC: Psst.. Deunan should find Chess on the supercomputer. That way..

IC: Deunan searched the endless files, coming up to cheap games like Pong." Oh come on...cheap morons.." said Deunan. After cominh up to a folder named "Chess". "Hmm...Chess. Perfect for a strategic mind...such as my own." said Deunan, a bit too over confident. He double clicked the icon and set the settings and put the difficulty on "Extreme". "Hah, bring it on computer." said Deunan, still full of confidence in his abilities.
 
OOC: Deunan vs. Supercomputer! BEGIN!

Err, not adding on right now. Arty is in more of a position to continue leading. XD
 
OOC: I don't feel like naming the exact moves..that would take to long and would be boring..^_^

Deunan and the computer were equally matched, capturing the same pieces with the same moves. "Wow...they must have designed it after me" said Deunan, grinning at the screen. After about an hour of play they were both down to a king and three pawns and a rook, each moving in way to capture the opposing king. Several moves went and Deunan had the computers King cornered. "Check..." said Deunan, grinning once more. It was now the computers turn. The king was stuck on a corner or the board, surrounded by pawns and the King. It seemed as if Deunan mated him, the pieces were aligned in an almost perfect order, but Deunan forgot one detail..the Rook. The computer player placed the rook to defend the King, capturing a pawn as it did. Deunan used his rook to attempt to capture his opponents piece but it was impossible, it would require two moves, and he was placed in check. "Holy crap!" exclaimed Deunan, watching in horror as his pieces were captured by a single rook. Move after move, the rook followed Deunans last piece, the King. It tricked Deunan into getting into a corner, until he was locked in the vortex of defeat. "Checkmate." said the computerized voice. "Nooooooooooo!" exclaimed Deunan, shocked at his loss. "I hate you." said Deunan to the computer. "I love you too." said the Computer. "Deunan said nothing because it wasn't worth it. He closed the current window in search of more games.
 
OOC: XD XD XD Hmm. I guess I'm STILL not adding on. Grr, now I'll stop posting cuz it's taking up space..
 
OOC: Urgh, I've got a writer's block at the moment, I'll add some stuff as soon as I think it up. M'kay?

IC:

Much to Artemis' relief the journey to the mall passed without further clashes, the closest being a stray patrol which Raikou spotted in good time, and the group soon stood in the shadow of the towering structure.

"Well then..." Artemis said, signaling for Raikou to join him. "Let's go inside, shall we?" with that, he pushed the main entrance open, hoping that the people inside weren't too trigger-happy.

Orva looked down at Umbreon and nodded slightly. Umbreon returned the jesture then they both tepped ofrward and looked inside. Her first thought was to call out and see if anyone was there but that thought wsa quickly abandoned. That would be a very stupid move.
 
Robin stepped in directly behind Orva and Umbreon.
The place was completely covered in shadow and silence. They couldn't tell right away whether guards were there or not. She supposed they'd find out soon enough. Robin bit her lip in nervousness, waiting for something to happen.
 
Artemis scanned the darkness as best he could, but couldn't see anyone. They'd probably just have to chance it...but there was no point in risking everyone in friendly fire.

"You two wait here for a moment." Artemis said to Robin and Orva "Most folks of the resistance know me so they'll be less likely to attack me on sight. Tyranitar, you come with me. Raikou and Metagross, stay here just in case, this shouldn't take too long."

With that, Artemis started walking down the seemingly desolate aisle with resolute steps and Tyranitar by his side, not making any effort to conceal his presence.

OOC: Feel free to add complications if you feel up to it.^_^

Robin obediantly stayed put with Orva by the entrance, surrounded by Metagross and Raikou. She kept her eyes on the shadows in front of Artemis' path, and also near the far end of the room. Robin nearly gasped when she caught a glimpse of something moving there.. Out of instinct she reached for one of her Pokeballs, then waited to see if it was a threat.
 
OOC: Having an RP battle with Obelisk-Kun over at another thread, posts might be delayed a bit.

IC:

Artemis froze in his march, noticing a slight movement in the shadows. "Who's there?" he called, fixing his glance at the place where he thought he'd seen it. "Identify yourself, are you with the resistance or with Ragnar?"

OOC: Your call.
 
OOC: Otay. I'll just.. identify it, then. o.O

IC: For a few long seconds, all was quiet. There wasn't even any sound outside, despite the chaos that was raging. All eyes were on the shadows.

"We are soldiers of the Resistance, waiting for Second in Command, Artemis D'Argent?" was the shaky and unsure response that floated out towards them.

Robin kept her Pokeball enlarged despite the response, still extremely nervous and unsettled.
 
OOC: This side-character is actually the one I'm using in 'Pok?mon Academy' I'm such a lazy person.

"That would be me." Artemis replied, his voice clear and strong, darklings were never nervous and they were awful actors to boot so this was a real person. "Step out into the light then, will you?"

There was another nervous pause, but then a young boy, probably no more than fourteen, with long, reddish hair held back by a blue bandana came into view, shortly followed by a Ninetales. He shot a nervous glance at Tyranitar's towering figure before he adressed Artemis with the accompaniment of a stiff salute.

"Private Arikawa, Squad 18, at your service sir."

"At ease." Artemis replied, hastily returning the salute before fixing the private with an inquisitive glance "Is this area still secured?" he asked.

"Yes sir." the private replied "We've lost most of our members but no darklings have come through.

Artemis nodded and gave him a pat on the shoulder "I see, can you direct us to wherever Deunan is then?"

"Yes sir."

"Alright then." Artemis replied "A moment if you would." he turned towards the entrance.

"It's alright." he called to the two others "You can come now."

IC: Robin sighed with relief, her nervousness easing.
"Alright." Robin called back, the word barely louder than a whisper. Returning her Pokeball to it's normal size, she put it away and began fast walking to Artemis and Arikawa. Robin looked around in the remaining shadows, wondering if there were any other soldiers.
 
Orva stood outside for another moment then entered the building. She looked aorund curious and warry. "How many other soldiers are here?" She asked. She wanted to know how good or bad their chances were at the moment.
 
OOC: Dang, improvising numbers is such a pain.

IC:

A haunted look returned to Arikawa's face and the Ninetails pressed itself against the boy in a comforting manner,

"Four, of our squad." the private replied weakly "The rest were, well...to put it bluntly, butchered. But Deunan has come here with reinforcements" he continued in an uplifted tone "So we've got a whole squad of elites as well."

"Besides." Artemis said, scanning the mall "This place has both the supplies and the ambush spots needed to set up a proper defence. We should be fine."
 
Robin looked around the cover of the building as Artemis spoke.
"Well, come on, then.. I wouldn't mind seeing Deunan, err, actually alive, you know.." Robin said quietly when he finished.
 
Artemis nodded.

"That makes two of us." he said as they followed Arikawa and his Ninetales, whom the boy introduced as 'Spark'.

"I wouldn't mind seeing him in a better condition than bloody and battered, either."
