Pokemon, Back on the Rise.

    Was reading an article in a gaming magazine about Pokemon having faded out and it looks like it's starting to come back.

    The show ratings have always been good, but at rising a little more, there's been more web searches for them, more websites popping up, and salves of everything are shooting up.

    Just thought it was kind of cool. I liked Pokemon years ago and then stopped for about 4 years, and just now I've gotten back into it.

    Anyways, I was at a game place today playing some games and stuff, and I was talking to JP (the owner). He was saying that for the past year or whatever Pokemon has been dead and other things taking over (mainly Yu-Gi-Oh).
    Long story short, Pokemon merchandise in his shop in the past month have been going up and this week they're overtaking the others. (Yesterday there was over $1,000 in sales for Pokemon and only $550 for Yu-Gi-Oh)

    I agree! I heard that pokemon is or was the #1 show on kids television. I thought that was pretty cool!!
     
    lol it's a rather weird time for a rise. I thought it would go up on the release of the new game, but I agree it does seem to be rising now. I've liked pok?mon since I first saw it in 1998, and never stopped liking it. I've openly expressed my like for it too. Though it used to cause me problems it hasn't stopped me doing stuff like basing my work on it. lol actually I've managed to do at least one piece of pok?mon related work per year since then. I'm already doing this years piece right now....kinda wonder if it's right seeing as i'll be going to Uni later this year :p.....wonder is I can incorporate pok?mon into law
     
    I agree; I think it has gotten more popular ever since the new games and the new season. ^_^ Maybe because just Ash, Brock, and Misty were getting a bit old, and so it's more interesting with new characters. Even around here, all of my brother's friends have stopped liking Yu-gi-oh! and love Pokemon again! O_o
     
    On places like AOL I guess the role playing rooms are starting to fill up and stuff too.

    Yeah it is kind of a strange time for a rise in popularity though but I think it's because a lot of the older fans who were the original fans are starting to re-discover it. . .either way, it's pretty cool.
     
    Yeah! I feel that Pokemon is rising again!
    Seeing that there are much more pictures from google.
    Many rare character's photos has increased too!

    Besides, the popularity of Pokemon shoots straight up in Hong Kong, since that TV start showing it again. Pokemon stuff is really everywhere!
     
    Finally! I hope one of the new episodes features a Porygon.
     
    Hmm.. I believe is on the rise again too i stoped likeing it in th 4th,5th,6th grade because it was really uncool to even write it at the time and now i see even the meanest people at school talking about it n_n;;.
     
    It will always be high, and with the release of new games, it will skyrocket to the top once more

    Just because of the release of Ru/Sa, the number of members in hKPMA rised from 152 to 840!!
     
    That's good news,I guess!I'm glad so many people still like Pokemon.I've liked it since it came out.I watched the show every day,of course back then I was very childish.The games are what keep me addicted..and of course,my own little world. ^_^
    Atleast now there's not as many people saying Pokemon is childish or not cool .
     
    It is cool that Pokemon is on the rise again. I knew that pokemon would eventually come back to popularity because of the games and the new season of Pokemon. But I think the real reason that it is rising is because younger people who start watching Pokemon like it and keep watching it. :)
