I was sooo excited for it too! God man!

I found it frustrating enough that you already couldn't transfer Pokemon over until two months after the game was released. And now it's delayed *sigh*.

I don't want it to be like Crystal all over again where you couldn't transfer from Gen 2 to Gen 3. All the Pokemon I worked hard on were stuck on that cartridge forever. I've worked so hard on my little collection and I don't want to lose them again!

I used to hack. I never use hacks in game and I never would. I sold them on another forum. It was known that they were hacks, I never lied. But I took requests and managed to buy my collection because of it. It takes a while to get hacks to look perfect and I spent a long time doing that for other people to get all my shinies in return, I'd be devastated if, after all the work to get them, I couldn't even enjoy them in glorious 3d!

Don't care how long the wait as long as it HACK CHECKS like a BOSS.

What if the game checked pokemon for hacks during each Wi-Fi match. If it detects a possible hack, you get 10 losses added to your record.

Everybody gets to keep their pokemon, just in case of false positives. However, the super-competitive ass-hats who cheat at a children's game are exactly the kind of people who would hate getting auto losses on their record.

The only hacks I used on my White version is encountering Legendaries at their legitimate levels so I could complete the National Pokedex. I really hope I can still bring them over.

Depends on what you mean by "hack check," as perfectly hacked, legal Pokemon is indistinguishable from Pokemon that are genuinely legitimate.

Well, on the bright side most of the non-legendary Pokemon that we could get from Pokebank are available on the GTS. Of course - as is typical of the GTS - most of them ask for absurd things in return, like unobtainable legendaries, or Unown.
My suggestion would be to look up many different unobtainables on the GTS. Once you spot a reasonable deal, take it. Then breed as many of the Pokemon you got as you can and put them on the GTS, asking for any other unobtainable Pokemon you want (don't expect to get any legendaries this way, though) and then breed them as well. The remaining babies you can just Wonder Trade them, hoping that whoever gets them will know to breed them and trade them as well. I got my much-needed Meowth this way and ever since I've been trying to Wonder Trade as many 4-5 IV Meowths as I can.
what you get: If you just need certain Pokemon to EV-train them, or to fill up your Pokedex, you don't have to wait for Pokebank to come out.
what the online community gets: Imagine that you breed 10 Koffings, you trade them to some strangers and they breed another 10 Koffings each. Already, there exist 100 Koffings in the World (which is 100 more than how many there were a week ago). Koffing becomes more common, any Pokemon on the GTS that asks for Koffing also becomes more common and then maybe, just maybe we start seeing more reasonable deals on the GTS.
Phew, that was a looong post. Sorry to anyone who actually bothered to read through it all. Again, this is just a suggestion (which will become irrelevant once the Bank finally comes out, anyway). I'm not saying "Everyone must do this now!". I'm just saying "Hey, some people got their Mudkips and Chimchars earlier than others, which is not the best thing ever. Be a good samaritan and help out those who didn't, 'cause who cares about World Peace or ending World hunger when you can play Pokemon, lol!"

I'm with you Snowpoint, they should make it even more hack proof in the meantime that it's down.

PokeBank isn't down, though. It still works for players who got it. It was only removed from the eshop to lower traffic.

Why do you want Pokemon Bank to detect hacked pokemon? Do you mean as illegal pokemon or legal? Because it would honestly suck if Pokemon Bank doesn't allow legal pokemon, like seriously it saves you heaps of time. Unless if you mean illegal pokemon, then who wouldn't want illegal pokemon to not make it through?

But talking about getting 10 losses added to your record, honestly, I doubt hackers will care about their 10 losses, firstly, who cares about their record? It's not really going to get you anywhere in life, secondly, do you play for game for the fun for it or just for winning? It doesn't really matter for me if I win or lose, at least I'm having fun.

You do occasionally see some reasonable deals. Trick is, though, they get snatched up faster, which only leaves what looks like unreasonable deals.

1) If you want to save time, you could just use Showdown to battle online. If you want to cheat to create a monster that isn't yours, then Showdown allows you to play with ANY POKEMON INSTANTLY. You don't need 6IV-SHINY Venausaur hacked into your game, just play that on Showdown.

2) I was only suggesting those other people, who make totally illegal WonderTomb hacks play only to the sake of winning. All they want is win and Pokemon is their vehicle to get there.

Most of the people playing a children and young adults, just play fair a play with the pokemon you hatched/traded for.

I disagree to a point. As long as the Pokemon is legal I'm perfectly ok with people achieving them by hacking.

I'd go as far as to give them short term suspensions from battling/trading online. Don't care how mad that makes the cheaters because they deserve it.

As someone who uses legal hacks, I would find that completely unfair. What if I haven't got any time to put in hours of effort to breed perfect Pokemon? I've got other things to do, and to me, it is just time consuming. You could argue that I should just play showdown, but I like playing with the game better. Just because I save myself time, doesn't mean that I should be forced to play an arguably worse game for battles.

While I don't necessarily hack for myself (unless cloning counts as hacking), I do agree with your general standpoint.

What if someone has a hack that looks legal, didn't know that their 'mon was a hack, and get punished for it? That'd be BS.

If you don't like spending time to get good Pokémon, then maybe Pokémon is just not the right game for you. Raising Pokémon is what makes Pokémon what it is. Despite it being so easy to create Pokémon, I doubt this is the way the creators want the game to be played. Therefore, if Nintendo does find a way to block these so called legal Pokémon, they have the right to use it, whatever arguments you're going to use. Too bad for those who want to bypass the biggest part of the game, but so be it. I mean, they already made breeding and EV training easier and less time consuming for y'all.

Pfft legal hacks. Hacking to get the best possible Pokemon is no better than hacking your rank in cod and unlocking all the weapons and perks without going through the grind and earning them the way everyone is meant to. It's unfair to the players who do take the time to get their Pokemon legitimately. And believe it or not your time is no more precious than anyone else's. The people who put in the effort into breeding their Pokemon should be able to reap the benefits, not every noob hacker with a pokesav.

I agree with Introvert. Legal hacking? Hacking shouldn't be legal, at all.

Hackers should be permanently banned online. No exceptions. Sure they could just buy another game and do it all over again, but they have to fork out £30 every time so that's helping Nintendo anyway ha.
