well, technically, doesn't Ho-oh already represent gold? (lugia -> silver | ho-oh -> gold)
not trying to shoot you down or anything, because i do like the idea of a new pokemon.
 
EDIT!

I had some dead time (Like 3 hrs) and took them making numerous recolors of pidgeot, and finally found a good pallet to use (Shiny Luxrays Colors) and the outcome is below. I really like it, but it is only a base of what the Golden Bird will become.
Let me know what you think

I can add you to the game if you leave the name of the trainer you want to have.
And I also dont have any time to work on the game today. Sorry everyone.
I still want the beta for mid october. Which will be horribly short, just for your info.
Itll last to gym 3.

The new story:

Upon turning the age of 14, You are approached by Prof. Oak and he talks to you about becoming a pokemon trainer the next day.. He talks to you about what type of pokemon you perfer and you tell him you want to take the night off to think about it.
That night before you go to bed, it begins to rain horribly, lightning striking, in during one of the flashes you see a bird pokemon, It was golden colored, and you decided then that you want the Golden Bird.
You talk to oak the next morning and he says he does not know of any golden bird, but that there is a region that has just opened up a gym challenge to the east of kanto and that he has a ticket to go there. He sent your brother last year to help establish the gyms and now he wants you to go and talk to Prof. Petal about it.
The game begins with you on a transmission to professer oak. He sends info to Prof. Petal by what you give him. And you get off the ship to begin your journey in Montoh. To find the golden bird, and to see how your brother has come along since he left.


I do not plan to change the story on the first post until I get some feed back about this. So let me know what you think :]

My hack is no longer about Ho-oh. I have changed it to a pokemon that nobody knows whom it may be yet. But it will be a golden bird.

But Ima actually write a rediclious in depth story about the game and post it on the first post and warn everyone that it will spoil the whole game.
But I have made a sprite that will lead to some plot ideas/twists.

Rayquaza: lv 50

And this is an idea when go through the last gym door (when in side.) a trainer (OmgaRqza) runs up to you and says lets batle and hes got al them^ PkMn. and if u did that i would be soooo happy!

@Omega: Sadly I am not an amazing scripter, so I can't do that yet...
I Really want realistic names, like Omega.
Cause would you name youre kid OMGRQZ?

Haha, think about it like this. Would you rather have an amazing epic fire or a wet soggy leaf?
And plus Fire red has the most amount of extra room for a rom, or so I hear.

Omega. R Is perfect.
And I have decided on a release date for Alpha 1!
It will be Sunday October 19th.
It will last from the first town all the way to town 3 (Gym 2)
And is to double check mapping scripting and spriting.
Anybody who wants to play through it may.
But if you do, i hope you leave me some bugs to fix before moving on.
 
Ill upload a link on sunday the 19th for anyone to get access to the patch.
UNtil then I have a horrible scirpt error, where magikarp spazzes and uses thunder...
Then glitch words appear on the screen, so i need to work on the script.
or re scirpt the whole thing.
 
Epic Update.

I got the script finished and fixed.
I also have the name and pokemon of gym leader number one.

His Name is Paul.
Pokemon:
Charmander
Ponyta
Magmar

And he is failry easy to beat. As they have low levels and you start the game with a LVL 20 pidgey. (which will change.)

That's the thing. I didn't. I made my story before
I even knew about your hack. Then I found
out yours was very similar to mine,
and was started before mine, so I thought,
"Oh crap." But now people can't say I stole
your story because yours has changed,
so I'm thinking,"Yay!"
 
can i be in the game as a trainer(in victory road) or a leader (i dont care what one)
can i be called draxx if im a leader or james if im a trainer
if im a gym leader can my pokemon be:

-combusken
-charmeleon
-quilava
-typlosion

and if not then i'll just be a trainer with a grovile and a shuppet
