Police: Boy robbed classmate of Pokemon cards in foam gun holdup
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (Map, News) - A 10-year-old boy was sent to juvenile hall after holding a foam pellet gun to a classmate's head and robbing him of his Pokemon trading cards.
No one was injured in Thursday's incident.
Redwood City police say the fourth-grader brought an Airsoft gun to Roosevelt Elementary School and held it to a 6-year-old's forehead, demanding that the younger child give up the trading cards.
The fourth-grader has been suspended, school officials are considering whether to expel him.

Amazing, a 10 years old shoots a kid for a bunch of printed paper?

Man, how this things can even happen...

Well, the 10 years-old kid must have a really corrupted mind, leaving alone the fact that he did it for something like PKMN cards.

Unbeleivable. Looks like the politicians/certain church groups now have more fodder for thier "anti-Pokemon" brigade.

Yeah, they are going to use this, but this wasn't the fault of the cards, it was the kid's parents, I mean, I would never give a 10 year-old kid a gun (even if it's a "toy" it still is a gun, and it can be dangerous).

So dissapointing is to read something like this...

There hasn't been a reported Anti-Pokemon statement made since Iraq condemned Pokemon in July 2007.

Why the hell are you stating that Politicians and Church Groups are benefiting this? Schools take gun violence ( even if you are just joking ) very seriously. Pokemon had almost nothing to do with this, besides the fact that the kid was probably just playing around and was demanding the Pokemon cards. Would it have made a difference if he was trying to get the kid's lunch money? Hell no...

and why is this in the TCG section? It belongs in the other chat section, if anywhere

He'll obviously get expelled. What an entertaining story.

Irag? What did they say? I know the Pope condemned it as well.

TCG? Because it was, you know, about the Pokemon Trading Card game.

If anything, its going to be the media and game industry again, who gets blamed for its portrayal of gun violence. You could swap 'Pokemon cards' with any sort of kids obsession and the story would have the same impact.

One of Iraq's senators condemned Pokemon as Satan worship.

Oh dear. For crying out loud, why would you do that, for POKEMON CARDS I mean, there awesome and everything, but... not death-worthy, that kid should be expelled! How could the school allow him to do this and ONLY suspend him? HOW!

    Sorry, rant over...
    Still stupid though

A 10 year old kid threatened his classmate with an air gun for POKEMON CARDS?
How screwed up has our world become? 0_o

Unbelievable. Pokemon Cards are so cheap, they're like what? 3 bucks for a deck. ._.

I don't know what kinda place you live in, but three bucks for a deck? One of those crappy theme decks costs $15-$20- a real deck requires a much bigger investment.

But yes, I find this thread funny as well. Except for people like Rhiannon and Emerald, but oh well.

Y'know what? I'd expell him. Then I'd shoot HIM with an airsoft gun, and take HIS pokemon cards.

    That'll show him!
