    It's pretty scary because it's a ghost-fire type.

    That cry is a idea for Banee.

    I'll do the sound effects of pokemon

    And don't forget to add that idea to Pokemon Cataclysm (alpha 9).

    That's because there wasn't any :P
    I'll make one pretty soon though.

    Your cry is good, except it doesn't look like what you'd expect from a regular Pokemon cry. But that's not too big of a problem.
    The thing is that I was just going to insert cries in the betas, as I might need to repoint a lot for it and I want to keep the free space for when I really need it.

    The first Beta will come out when the storyline is complete. Alphas focus more on getting the storyline finished :)

    If it's simple, it needs less space, and that's good!

    the only sketchy thing is the sprites, you could be better.
    Alpha 10 will have a major sprite overhaul :D

    I like the idea so I'll try it when it gets to a beta(and I'm not playing another hack), but if you can hook up with a good spriter to touch up the fakemon(galemon) that could be really cool

    Before watching a video, read 'Read me' first.

    Plus, I also reported bugs I photoed with VBA. About 'Bug 3' it's a ability that's wrong, note the name of the file.

    Only MiniminGames was allowed to download it.

    I'll talk about the bugs first:
    Bug 1, 4 & 5: collision issues, easy to fix
    Bug 3: I'll just change the ability, Swarm will still be for bug types.
    Bug 2: That script is straight from Ruby, and I couldn't edit it. I'll get rid of that script and many others in Alpha 10.

    About the Spiritrick cry, I already had a cry for Magileaf and Vinetom, maybe we get unique cries for each possession? Or I use the cries I have for other Pokemon?
    Maybe opting for unique cries may be better because having the same cry for spiritrick, magileaf, magigus and magirock may feel too repetitive...

    either way, the cry was good! :D

    I'll soon make the Team thread, it's gonna be called Team Cataclysm!

  • Type match-up table for Cataclysm!

    There are two new types in Cataclysm; Fungus and Light. I think these two types were begging to exist but were probably never thought up by Nintendo :P
    So here is the new match-up table!

    New & modified types are buggy in Alpha 9, but will be fixed in Alpha 10.

    Beast type is a mix of Normal, Dragon and Fighting!
    It's called Basic on Alpha 9, but will be called Beast on 10.
    Also, there was going to be a Wood type, but that was scrapped for various reasons.

  • Alpha 10 update

    Quick update for Alpha 10!

    1) The only starter you will get is Spiritrick. It's a ghost-type, but it can evolve into either Magileaf, Magirock or Magigus. Plant, Rock and Fungus does an advantage cycle just like Fire, Grass and Water.

    2) Demich will be the new Voyde Pokemon instead of Spiritrick. Way more suiting!

    3) New hero design! Admittedly, the old sprite was a placeholder. The overworld just got a palette change.

    So yes, Alpha 1.0 is here. :D
    I've been working on this version for well over a month now, and I've intended to work on it for longer, but I felt that this was the right time :]

    It was going to be called Alpha 10, but I thought big numbers didn't seem right. Yet.

    Get it in attachment on the main post. Have fun! :D

    And don't forget to look at the type match-up table. Otherwise you may get confused. :P

    Bug?

    I found a bug, possibly? It's a secret base (Like you use hidden power on in Ruby) RIGHT at the beginning. Like.. If you move up one space, then you go into " 's base"

    Youre playing 1.0? Its filled with bugs, i thought i took the link down but i forgot the mirror ^^'
    Anyway, you might be unable to advance from certain points, all which is fixed in 1.0.2.
    That tree is a rather minor bug, not worth the hassle to fix. I am completely stumped with the secret base bug though.
    The game is going to change immensely on the next few versions, so it will be nice to have someone to bounce ideas with. Welcome aboard :D
    Just PM me your MSN/WLM for ease of communication.
