    Haha hey everyone!

Dunno if this thread will be uber popular, I recently picked up Pokemon conquest, an interesting mix between I guess chess and pokemon. I can't really explain it better, maybe youtube it if curious(?) haha but it was a pretty alright game!

Kept me occupied for a while, that's for sure!

Hehe, I wonder how many threads about Conquest we had up until now...

I'm still looking forward to sequel but... no info about it o.O

It's pretty fun. It's an interesting mix between the games, but I prefer Mystery Dungeon. My castles always get invaded and I have to spread resources out. I still don't get some of the features. On the other hand, I just recently booted it up after a year of not playing it, still on my first save. Why am I using Panpour again?

Going to check it out as soon as I beat Red Rescue Team -- have never touched any spinoff games due to bad reviews, dunno how it'll turn out.

That said, I love the Edo period aesthetic the game has. It's a unique crossover to be sure, I wonder why Nintendo didn't blast ad campaigns for it.

Honestly, the main plot of Conquest was too easy; I picked it up a week after release.

Those special episodes tho; The thing about those is that I always fool around and don't make progress to the point that everyone around me is extremely strong and I'm just one weak-as-heck kingdom. Besides that, it was a fun game, for sure.

Considering those special episodes were mostly time based, you shouldn't have done that xD

But yea, it wasn't a hard game. Main game was the only tough part as everyone wasn't accustomed to the play style and did not have boosted Pokemon =D
I believe after you get Kenshin and Shingen, the game became piece a cake.

My thoughts exactly. But the game still was really fun, and to this day I put it in my 3DS every once in a while and do one of those special episodes. And there are so many of them! Let's just say the game will keep you occupied for a long time.

I thought the game was fun, however, lacking in some areas.

First off, the battlefields were excellent. The interactive maps were quite fun to navigate and develop strategy around. Another thing I found appealing was the bonding mechanics, also tied to evolution.

I know this is a tactical RPG, but, I would have loved to see the pokemon learn new moves, maybe up to 4, in order to make the game a bit more challenging and complex. At times the game was too predictable and monotonous using the same move over and over for a particular Pokemon.

One of the best games i've played, it has everything from startegy to pokemon to pure samurai awesomeness....still waiting for my sequel, GF!
