4th Gen Pokemon D/P/Pt Scramble Challenge v2.0

@PsychoJigglypuff: Tangela, may not evolve, most always know Bind. NN: HotMess (Lol?)

I'd rather have it evolve, but I guess I never specified that it had to evolve. I just said that it could. >.>

Oh well, I shall take it anyway. xD

Pokemon on Team [so far]:
- Glameow: Must learn Shadow Claw and Iron Tail. Must only evolve after
winning 3 or more contests. NN: Zoey Much?
- Marill - Caught/bred as Azurill, don't use Soothe Bell to evolve, must have an Ice move. NN: INeedADiet
- Tangela - May not evolve, must always know Bind. NN: HotMess

^
I give you a Drifloon that must always know at least one status move, one physical move, and one special move.

Haven't been working on it recently, so if you need my progress, I'm stuck at Maylene's Gym, since nothing I have can easily counter a fighting Pokémon. You would think Smoochum would, but it has a horrifically low Base Def. stat, so it's easily KO'd by a Karate Chop. Plus, Meditite, being Psychic/Fighting, only takes the normal x1 damage (maybe 1.5? idk. It's not a super effective though) rather than a x2, so I'm going to have to grind my Charmeleon into a Charizard, I do believe. :(

@Viral Panda: Welcome to the challenge :) I'd be happy to assign you your first Pokémon. And I get pretty creative with how you have to do things, so brace yourself.
I'm going to add on to the challenge for you, and you alone! The rules state:
Your challenge is over once you defeat the E4
However, the rules do NOT state that you don't have to go through more than once. So for you, I'm gonna make this a pain in the @$$!

So, Panda, you have to take a QWILFISH! To make this even more fun, I'll explain how you get them!
Super Rod fish for them on Iron Island. And since you can only get the Super Rod Post-E4 (I'm pretty sure), you have to go through twice, or find a way to trade! The Qwilfish must always know Pin Missle and Toxic Spikes, and cannot learn HM's, but can learn TM's.

You've been assigned it, you have to take it. Sorry :)

@Viral Panda: Get a Mothim It must have 3 Status Moves. It may not have Toxic,Reflect,Light Screen,or Bug Buzz.

I just beat Volkner in a tight match, his Ambipom had +6 Sp.A and +2 Speed at the end, but somehow i KOd it with Gastrodon which is currently pretty overleveled compared to the rest. The rest of the team didn't cause any problems to me. Now the sea route comes next, i'm not really happy about that, my team has a huge Gyarados weak (well, i have Luxio, but it doesn't like intimidate...)

I just failed to beat my rival. That damn Staraptor is a coward and always U-Turns to Snorlax. Snorlax beat the half of my team, it got an incredible amount of hax with Body Slam, like getting a crit when Beautifly had +2 on all stats and was about to sweep his entire team. When it was finally down, i made the mistake to poison that damn Heracross and it swept everything except for Gastrodon, which took a CC but got killed by Roserade... If it wasn't for Heracross and the paralysis from Body Slam he would be easy...

Update: I finally beat the Elite 4 now.
Aaron wasn't too hard. His Dustox caused me some problems, but the rest of his team fell to Vespiquen, even Heracross (luckily it didn't get a Stone Edge CH)
Bertha was probably the easiest. Beautifly swept her 4xgrass weak ones, even though all of them could survive a Giga Drain from it. Gastrodon took care of Sudowoodo, but lost against Hippowdon, which had like 5 HP remaining, someone else KOd it
Flint was annoying, but not hard. Rapidash liked to use bounce and drain Gastrodon's PP, Infernape scored one or 2 KOs, Lopunny was probably the most annoying, it ALWAYS burned me when it used Fire Punch... Steelix was lol. Drifblim got several Double Teams off, but i got lucky and my Ice Beams hit it.
Lucian was hard. Mime KOd some Pokemon but got stopped by Vespiquen. Medicham was really annoying, but after some Intimidates, it died. Bronzong spammed Calm Mind and occassionally used Psychic, and my only physical attacker that could get neutral damage on it, Luxio, did nothing to it. I had to do PP stall till it was out of Psychics, Gyro Ball and EQ didn't cause any problems. Girafarig was like Mime: Got some KOs, but wasn't too hard to beat. Surpirsingly Alakazam, which had me caused by far the most trouble most of the time, was easy: it was stupid, used Energy Ball on Vespiquen and got swept by angry bees. 5000 IQ didn't help it.

And then there was only Cynthia left. Spiritomb won the stall war against Vespiquen due to Vespiquen running out of PP, but something else KOd the weakened Spiritomb. Gastrodon was probably the easiest, it couldn't do anything against Beautifly. Milotic was able to at least 2HKO all of my Pokemon so i had to do PP stall till it finally ran out of Surf, so Luxio could take it down. But Cynthia switched to Garchomp, which KOd Luxio with Giga Impact, allowing Gastrodon to Ice Beam it to death. Roserade was probably the most annoying of all her Pokemon, it OHKOd everything except for Vespiquen, but the fact that it couldn't even 3HKO Vespiquen didn't help, since all Vespiquen could do besides using revival herb was Struggle. Seemingly hours later, when Roserade was finally out of Energy Balls, Gastrodon could finally KO it. Then Milotic came back, but couldn't do anything this time. Her last Pokemon was Lucario. Gastrodon took a Dragon Pulse and EQd it, which did quite a lot. Gastrodon died to Aurasphere, so i switched in Luxio, revived Gastrodon, Luxio died and Gastrodon KOd Lucario with another Earthquake. And then, after this pretty unfair battle, since she didn't have any revival herbs at all, only some full restores, i finally was the new champion of Sinnoh, it took me almost 30 hrs to get there
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon D/P/Pt Scramble Challenge v2.0

These stupid spotlights block the view on my awesome team >:(
About the name: i like using old fashioned names like Bertha, Horst or Klaus, they sound so awful that they're cool again

I'll post levels and moves team later, when that server lag is over

So, here it is, the final Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon D/P/Pt Scramble Challenge v2.0

Sphinx / Luxio m Lv. 51 @ Everstone
Adamant Nature / Intimidate
- Frustration
- Thunder Fang
- Spark
- Crunch
Intimidate and the occassional -defense from Crunch were really helpful in some situations. Despite being a slow NFE with a shallow movepool, Luxio was one of the core members of my team.

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon D/P/Pt Scramble Challenge v2.0

Imilont / Beautifly m Lv. 52 @ Meadow Plate
Bold Nature / Swarm
- Giga Drain
- Bug Buzz
- Shadow Ball
- Silver Wind
Hard-hitting, but pretty slow and extremely frail. Became a bit of death weight towards the end.

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon D/P/Pt Scramble Challenge v2.0

Finally / Vespiquen f Lv. 50 @ /
Adamant Nature / Pressure
- Toxic
- Defend Order
- Attack Order
- Heal Order
Even with that awful typing, Vespiquen could take tons of hits and Attack Order hit things quite hard. Suffered from the fact that stall isn't that efficient in-game (i don't even know how to get Leftovers by another way than getting them by an incredily low chance with a Lv.100 Pickupper or finding a damn rare Munchlax), since PP run out quickly. So Vespiquen is a decent bosskiller, but incapable of dealing with normal opponents.
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon D/P/Pt Scramble Challenge v2.0

Charap / Chatot f Lv. 46 @ /
Lonely Nature / Tangled Feet
- HP Dragon
- Steel Wing
- Hyper Voice
- Fly
At the beginning a good Pokemon that gained Exp quickly, towards the end a worse Beautifly, but a decent Flying slave
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon D/P/Pt Scramble Challenge v2.0

The Don / Gastrodon-e f Lv. 54 @ Wide Lens
Relaxed Nature / Sticky Hold
- Rock Slide
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Muddy Water
Mediocre stats, but decent typing and coverage.
In single battles only outclassed by Vespiquen, overall my MVP
HM Slaves:
Turtwig Lv. 5 (Rock Climb, Strength, Rock Smash, Cut)

Psyduck Lv. 9 (Surf, Waterfall, Tail Whip, Water Gun)

Y'know what?

Mondays, you are frikkin' amazing, bud. Congratulations :)

Allow me to give you your first Pokémon :)

Take a Larvitar. It can evolve into Tyranitar, but must have a -Atk nature, and has to have this moveset:
Rock Slide
Flamethrower
Crunch
<4th move of your choice>

Just read that you can't trade. Sorry.

!!Team Update!!

# by an attack represents an attack that I've been told to retain on that Pokémon for the duration of my challenge.

GoldDigger/Jynx - F - Lv. 30 @
Lonely/Forewarn
Attacks: Confusion, Lick, Sweet Kiss#, Powder Snow
I didn't realize it evolved at 30, so I was working my ass off to get a friendship evo. Pretty much the anchor of my team right now.

Marvin/Buizel - F - Lv. 18 @
Docile/Swift Swim
Attacks: SonicBoom, Water Gun, Water Sport, Swift
I neglect the little guy (I realize it's a girl). I need to evolve him before the E4 though, without a doubt.

Jackett/Burmy(ground coat) - F - Lv. 14 @
Lonely/Shed Skin
Attacks: Protect, Tackle
Working on evolving it so I can have a Pokémon with a strength to water-types. It'll help immensely.

KthxbaiROK/Geodude - M - Lv. 24 @
Relaxed/Sturdy
Attacks: Magnitude, Rock Smash, Rock Throw, Rollout
I haven't used him much since my Jynx came about as a high-level Smoochum. He's still pretty good. He'll be good coverage against rival's Staravia/Staraptor until it learns Close Combat.

Max/Charmeleon - M - Lv. 30 @
Relaxed/Blaze
Attacks: Scratch, Dragon Rage, Ember#, Fire Fang
Just lol. Working on grinding him into a Charizard. I'll finish that tonight so I can beat Maylene's gym.

DUSTOX - F - Lv. 12 @
Impish/Shield Dust
Attacks: Tackle, String Shot, Poison Sting
Undoubtedly the most neglected Pokémon in my roster. I have no use for him yet, so right now, he's just kind of there XD

Gee whiz, this sounds fun. O: Good thing I have an unopened Platinum copy to play on. >W<

Username: Phantom Poodle
Pokemon Specifications: Well, I don't really care. I'm not going to hack or anything, I'm totally against that. But other than that, I'm fine.
User Specifications: Play Platinum, I can trade, new game, No hacks
Team: [so far] Parentheses means I don't have it yet. >w<
- (get Lickitung, it can't evolve)
- (Take a Togepi. It must have Ancientpower and Signal Beam. You can only evolve it into Togetic after you've met every requirement of your assigned team. Togetic must have Fly. After you have that, the only condition(s) you're allowed to evolve your Togetic into Togekiss are: If you have an Adamant Electivire on your team with Earthquake as an attack, you have a Japanese Gallade (one with a Japanese name, not one that evolved from a Japanese Ralts/Kirlia) with a Status Sweeper moveset (Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Close Combat, and ThunderWave/Hypnosis/Will-O-Wisp), a Lv. 100 Bidoof, or a Shiny Modest Magmortar. If you get to evolve Togetic into Togekiss, you must make the Togekiss learn Thunderbolt.)
- ( A Tentacool that must know only moves that would be not-very-effective against it)
- ( you get a Girafarig, must know Charge beam, Baton pass and Strenght.)
-
-

Oh yeah, PsychoJigglypuff: You can have an Ekans; it can evolve.

Welcome to the challenge! :D I like to assign extremely complicated things to people, so you're going to wish you had set some limitations :)

Good God, those are some requirements. @w@ But I like Togekiss a good deal, so I will definitely try. Do the other Pokemon you mention (the Electivire and stuff) have to literally be on my finishing team, or can I just have them temporarily in the party when I evolve? AND do I have to have all the Pokemon mentioned, or can I just possess one of them to evolve?
