This is my review on the new Dark rush expansion set. It just released yesterday in Japan & will eventually release in the USA. Please note that this will be constantly updated around each week. Lets take a look now at the first one:
Bulbasaur - 001/069
This card is an astounding Bulbasaur! It has 60HP & is a grass type. With one grass energy & two other energies it can do a solid 30 damage which is pretty good for a basic Pokemon. It resists Water (-20) & of corse is weak against fire. Overall even though the D/P/Pt Promo Bulbasaur still beats this Bulbasaur this Bulbasaur is still very powerful & good, the only problem I see in this is the retreat cost is 2 which isn't very good. I rate this card a 9/10.
Ivysaur - 002/069
This card again makes it's point. with 90HP & is yet again a grass type. This is certainly a status problem because with sleep powder it can lure the defending Pokemon to sleep & deal 20 damage. Along with that it's PoisonPowder can deal 60 damage in total (with the poison). Overall this has to be the strongest Ivysaur i've ever seen! The only problem is yet again the retreat cost. I rate this card a 9.5/10.
Venusaur - 003/069
This card is a pretty good card & I like it. With it's ability Floral Fragrance you can search your deck for any Pokemon you want & put it in your hand. which means any Pokemon to evolve, to go with Venusaur, anything. Poisonpowder is alright, it deals 70 damage & poisons (which totals to 80 damage) but I thought it could have been better. The Supreme Victors Venusaur still beats this one but this one is an alright card to use. I rate it 8.5/10.
Carnivine - 004/069
This card is a decent card, it more of a staller card for some strategy time. Lure poison is a decent move but not really that good. But Spit Blow is a great move to use so that your opponents defending Pokemon goes back into his/her hand so that he/she will have to set up that Pokemon all over again. Overall this isn't the best, but good so i'd say it should deserve 9/10.
Karrablast - 005/069
This card is a decent card but I wouldn't say it's the best. The only good move it can use is reckless charge deals 40 damage, but 10 to itself. It also knows beat which deals 10 damage. Overall this is basically a Squirtle only Squirtle is better since it doesn't do 10 damage to itself but overall it's a good basic so 8.5/10.
Shelmet - 006/069
This card is a decentish card but is not as good as Karrablast. It can only use one move which is Body Slam which does 20 damage but not only that, but it requires two grass energies for that attack which means if you use a multi-type deck like me, this will give you a tough time to use! Other than that it has a chance a paralyzing the foe which isn't bad but I give this card a 6/10.
Accelgor - 007/069
This card is a decent card, Hammer Arm deals 20 damage for 1 grass energy which is decent, but Vanish Beat is a pretty good move, for two energy cards you can deal 50 damage & poison & Paralyze the foe but you have to shuffle Accelgor & it's energies back into your deck which means that if you have no benched Pokemon, that's game over. So I rate this card 9/10.
