The movie was okay, but it bored me a little. The only major fights involved both Deoxys and Rayquaza. And before the movie, I used to say DEO-X-EES and RAY-QUA-ZA, the same way I said Plu-s-lee instead of Plu-stle. Anyway, it could've been better, but at least we saw it instead of waiting approx. 3 weeks for the DVD.

I liked the bit of the movie I saw. I can't wait to buy it though so I can see everything. I mised alot of informatin. I thought May tried to use her Pokeballs though. I think its that Deoxys disabled all electronics like I said earier. I wanna kill WB or fox right now. Some day I'll find out what was wrong.

I grinned on this because the solution was staring me in the face.

The gang never tested their own Poke-Balls. Only the residents' Poke-Balls didn't work, because they were built based on the systems in the city. Ash and the gangs' would have worked fine, but he didn't think to call out a Pokemon. I'm sure that's another tiny detail they also left out of the WB Release.

Or did he assume that because their Pokeballs didn't work, his wouldn't work? Either way, we have a scenario that allows Pokemon to be trapped in their pokeballs, severely limiting the residents' ability to defend themselves in the event of, say, a terrorist attack. Not good. Of course, it also shows how technology dependent the city is.

By the way, did anyone notice just how many security bots there were? Shades of big brother.

Why do people keep on saying Miramax edit the movie? It's not Miramax. It's 4kids themselves. They do all the editing. All Miramax does is the "pan and scan" mode when converting from widescreen to fullscreen and soon publish the movie onto DVD and VHS.

Anyway, like someone said, it's strange for the 6th movie to has the original content kept, including the freakin' ending song, then the 7th movie comes along and scrap out the "main orchestra score" and ending theme of Lovey Boy, replacing with some crappy-a... butt song. 4kids just like to surprise and piss people off in different ways. I understand there's edit, length wise for airing on TV but I hope the full version would be available on DVD/VHS.

Da moivie was great!MunchLax Evolved!^o^And there was 2 Deoxys!

L.o.v.e.l.y. Boy would never have gone over as well with general viewers like Chiisaki Mono did. I hate to say this, but in the two years since track ratings have been in use at PIRN, I can count on one hand the number of japanese-language songs that have achieved better than a 5.0 out of 10. They love the orchestral and karaoke songs, but won't tolerate listening to the actual language. I'm not saying I agree with them-just that this is what's happened.

*a bit off-topic* Ever read reviews of the Final Fantasy concert in North America?

No, but if I'm reading the leading in your question, I'm guessing they're quite good. However, I suspect these are older listeners with more cultural education. I have gotten positive letters about my Japanese music, but not much in the way of votes.

I thought it seemed cut. I cant wait to see the Japanese version when I get the chance.

The reason I think what I do is that Ash and the gang didn't get their Poke-Balls from that city. They got them from their own home towns, so that would be what controlled them. Otherwise there would've been other times that they would have had issues with them.

You're not discussing what I'm discussing-I'm asking why, under any circumstances, this (not being able to let a Pokemon out)would be allowed to happen, not why some Pokeballs work and others don't (though that's a completely valid line of discussion I'd like to take on after I see the movie again).

Why? Simple reason. Miramax had their logo on the opening, and 4Kids' logo wasn't on the opening. It might have been in the credits but I didn't see it on the opening. I saw everyone ELSE! I saw Miramax, WB, Pikachu... But NO 4 KIDS!!! That's why I said Miramax.

Yoshi: Same reason why nobody in Pokemon has issues with people catching animals out of the wild, training them and making them fight for amusement and sport. It's just the way it is.

Anime doesn't always explain everything. Look at Tenchi Muyo. Did Washu ever even try to explain the mechanics behind Mihoshi's cube? Nope. She just instantly knew how to operate it. So when you don't understand something, there's at least a 33 percent chance that you aren't supposed to.

I realize that. That's why I wrote "How Pokemon (Really) Works" (available on pokepalace.net). I just got picky on that one because it jumped out at me.

Really now? It has been... 8 years (right?)... and if a Pok?mon fan doesn't know that 4Kids are responsible for dubbing (which includes editing) then they should have their head exam. Even if their logo isn't showed in the movie, a person would know it's 4Kids by voice actor, editing, etc. Simply put, it's common sense to know.

That's the "TV aried version." Let's wait for the DVD/VHS version. But overall and IMO, they kill the movie by replacing Yumemiru Lovely Boy with... *shivers* ...This Side of Paradise. ;_;

Well..I enjoyed the movie. Althought they did edit alot, we're all able to download the japanese version with subtitles so I don't really mind. =P

The Japanese version is 1 hour 39 minutes and 34 seconds :D so that would be the same length I guess.

The thing is the dub movie will be about 1min 30 sec shorter b/c they will cut out the cartoon drawings. It makes sense

That minue 38 seconds shouldn't really matter though. I cook instant soup in the microwave in more time than a minute and 38 seconds (a minute 45, to be exact. :D) But still, I'm pretty sure there will be a lot more on teh DVD that wasn't included on teh TV presentation.

I'm also hoping that by the time the movie comes ou on video, all of their pokemon will have evolved. THen the movie would fit into the timeline.

Did anyone mention this here yet?

I've been meaning to mention this all this time, but I kept forgetting whenever I went on the computer.

Did Brock receive closure or something because if anyone else noticed, Brock SAID Professor Ivy's name, and with a smile on his face.
