I saw the movie today too but the commercials weren't that long tho. I think it was at most 5-6 mins. I always thought it was called DEOX zees but its pronounced deoxis. Man Deoxys was weak. Mewtwo could have easily put down Rayquaza but I liked its regenerative capabilities that means they cant die!! hehehe.
I only liked the movies Pokemon 4ever and Return of Mewtwo.
[/SPOILER]
Hey how come during the movie that guy with the blaziken said he'll have a rematch with ash but they didn't show it? Snorlax preevolved form is Munchlax!!

There was way too many commercials. Like every 5 minutes it was another commercial.

I don't think it was so much how many commercials as how frequent the breaks were. At least it's not like Spike TV that takes 3 hours to show a Bond movie.

By the way, what was the original running time of the movie?
running time for full Jap version: 1:39:39

4Kids? Don't you mean Miramax? They're the ones that have their logo plastered all over the movie.
...

And it actually says right on the WB release: 'Edited for content'. (I wonder if that means the DVD release will be uncut?)

...
"edited for content" how on earth are you gonna edit for content an already kid rated movie? seems a bit whacked to me.. If it was cut for time (and it shouldn't have been as they allocated 2 hours for it) thats fine.. but content? in a Pokemon movie? grrrrrr..

Anyone find it odd that Pokeballs seem to need an outside power source to work? What happens in all the remote places that they've been battling in, and isn't a fundamentally bad idea to create a scenario in which a Pokemon could be trapped in its ball?

I'm curious, did 4kids left the part where Deoxys lost his arm in or did they cut that out as well?

That part was shown, actually I only noticed some -really- useless edits, I never saw much in edits for violence or anything Oo
Dang, and I was hoping this was gonna be as good as movie 6 in it's English version.

The commertails aren't what bothred me. I can't say I like or disliked it because I didn't see much. There was a glitch or virus or something. I menchined it in an earlier post. Every three minutes the scene would freeze for a minute. It was a pattern. It drove me nuts. I recorded what I could but now I can't wait for it to come out in stores.

I found that odd but I think it was just all electronices were disabled. Though I could be wrong.

I never really had that problem at all^^; The commercials were the one thing that annoyed the hell out of me >.< There was one almost every ten minutes, and then the Lovely Boy song was taken out. Funny how movie 6 actually left in their main song in JAPANESE, but I suppose that's because it didn't air on TV?

To be totally honest, I was kind of dissappointed with this one. It wasn't awful, but after hearing about the 7th movie nonstop for the past 3 months, I was expecting a lot more.
The storyline was alright, but overall it kind of bored me.
I think the characters in general were kind of flat this time around.
Nobody really seemed to have that much personality. They just didn't seem like their normal selves. The only really interesting character this time around was Munchlax. And that's sad, considering he has such a small part.

Also, did anyone else notice that in every single Pokemon movie, Ash always ends up flying with the starring Pokemon at the end?

He doesn't fly at the end of all the movies. He didn't in the first, the third(and if you mean by himself the second too), Mewtwo Returns, the fifth, and the sixth.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was so great! But I wish Kids WB didn't show so many commercials every five minutes. I loved it when Ash and Troy try to stop the secuity boxes. Also the way Deoxys found its friend. I thought it was cool. But anyway this movie rocked, and I am looking forward to the DVD(less cuts and more extras). ^^

Wow they have cut alot of it out aint they, man that stinks even though I aint in America, why did they take out the butt scene XD, that is so funny XDD. Well I probably won't see it in England bit I have seen the Japanese verion anyway XD.

This movie would have been far better off with out all the commercials. They had a commercial every 5-7 mins. And they laster 2-3 mins each time. So all them was starting to make me sick (sitting there wanting to watch this movie and then every 5 mins a commercial comes up).
And like SBaby said
Miramax did the editing.
I just wish Miramax would stay out of editing movies because it's like everything they do with Pokemon it turns out real bad.

Over all the moive was ok, I think I will like it better once I get it on DVD next month.

Just a note, on top of the edits Miramax made for the general US version, 4kids had to make TV edit as well since they're the general property owner.

I Just Watched It...I Was Really Pissed Off. For One, I Thought That Deoxys Was Pronounced DEE-OX-EES, Not DE-OX-IS..It Sounds Stupid...And I Also Thought That Rayquaza Was Pronounced RAY-QUAZ-A, Not RAY-QUAY-ZA...-_-;
Oh Well.
Good Movie Though

First of all, the disclaimer said 'edited for time and content'. I saw that disclaimer. I'm not saying it was right, but there it was. They allocated 2 hours for the freaking commercials, not the movie. Cartoon Network could've done it in an hour and a half! And it could have been uncut (as uncut as the US version would go).

I grinned on this because the solution was staring me in the face.

The gang never tested their own Poke-Balls. Only the residents' Poke-Balls didn't work, because they were built based on the systems in the city. Ash and the gangs' would have worked fine, but he didn't think to call out a Pokemon. I'm sure that's another tiny detail they also left out of the WB Release.

This movie was pretty okay, excluding the commercials. I disliked the commercials; I couldn't get the facts to my head with all of them appearing once fifteen minutes. Some parts were a bit strange, like the fact that Masquerain sometimes didn't flap its four little wings but floated. I loved the futuristic city especially the super cool Battle Tower and I loved the new characters.
