PLOT - In 1996, game company "Nintendo" released its newest idea to the world. That idea was called Pokemon, and it revolutionized the gaming industry along with creating one of the biggest franchises ever. To many people Pokemon was just a game, trading card game, and a tv series, but little did they know a discovery would change all of that. In 2008 a man whose ship wrecked, drifted on to a massive island. On this island the man began to see creatures that looked very similar to that of Pokemon. The man befriended what looked to be a Squirtle, in which he trained on the island until it evolved into a Blastoise. With this Blastoise he headed back to America to tell everyone about his discovery. This man's name is Jack Herus and he is now known as the first Pokemon Champion. Quickly scientist began studying the Pokemon and found that only the first 150 exsist on the island. They have also created successful pokeballs and working pokedex's. In 2009, gyms, pokecenters, pokemarts, and a stadium were built on the island, as people anticipated the opening of a real live Pokemon League. Nintendo, who recieved the rights to these creatures and their home, sent out 50 invitations to random people to join the league.
Where you come in - The League is finally opening and you are one of the people who got an invitation. Even if you don't like Pokemon you still feel compelled to go and see what it's like. You will go to the island to catch, train and befriend Pokemon but you also have a bigger goal. There are four gyms located on the island and you must beat all four of the leaders to gain access to the championship tournament at the end of the year. If you win the tournament at the end of the year, you will have the honor of battling with Jack the discoverer. Also not everything is known about the island and so you may also discover some of the secrets it holds as you go along.(Believe me, something else is going on)
NOTE! I will be playing the part of Jack Johnson as you may see him throughout your journey.
Rules -
1. No bunnying other player's characters without both my permission and the RPer's.
2. Ask for permission if you want to meet other Rpers during the RP. (I will
most likely agree if given advance notice)
3. Don't be mean to the other RPers and no swearing.
4. When trying to catch a Pokémon stop your post right after you throw
the pokeball. (See below)
5. I decide if you catch a Pokémon and what level it is.
6. Post often. If you haven't posted within six days since your last post I will VM you a warning telling you to post within 24 hours. If you still have not posted you will be kicked out. (I am giving you a week total) And please tell me if you will be gone for x-number of days in advance!
7. I am allowed to add and subtract rules if needed.
8. Also the RP will take place in chapter format.

Main Trainers
Name: Ian Rainer
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ian stands at 5'8, which is about an average height for his age. He has an athletic build to him, he's not the biggest most muscular guy but he is fit and trim. His hair is medium length below just about to the end of his ears, and is blond colored. Ian's eyes are a light blue color, across his left eye is a scar that he recieved when he was very small.
For clothing Ian dresses pretty basically, most often wearing workout type clothing. He wears a short sleeve black under armour shirt, but when it's cold out he will usually be seen wearing a sweatshirt over top. For pants he usually is wearing workout type pants. At the end of his wrist he wears two black wrists bands, as well as a black head band with a pokeball in the middle of it on his forehead. Ian is usually carrying around his backpack on his back with him as well.
Personality: Ian has a very calm personality, and is usually very calm during dangerous situations, or the most heated battles. With his calm personality, he is easily approachable and makes friends very quickly. Once you become his friend he would do anything for you, especially his pokemon, he would quickly rush into something to save one of his friends lives.
History: Ian was born as a twin, but due to some unfortunate circumstances his twin brother died at birth. As he grew older he had no idea about this but for some reason he always felt alone in the world as if something was missing. It was a strange sensation to him all at the same time, he had friends, and his parents even a younger brother now but he still felt alone. Finally when he was twelve years older his parents finally told him the truth about his twin. At first he was upset that he never got to meet him, but after a few hours he felt relieved to finally know the truth and he then made a vow to himself that he was going to become twice the man he was at the moment.
When Ian received the letter from Nintendo about becoming one of the first pokemon trainers in the world he felt a sense of determination, and a sense of fate he was going to go out and win this new league for him and his brother regardless of how hard the challenges in front of him were.

Personality – People would describe Reni as the over confident and hyper girl. She believes in her ability to do whatever she does thoroughly and does it with her own style. While she is not very popular at school, her friends find her joyous to be around. Always trying to do her best, Reni tries and usually succeeds at hiding her fears, which she claims she has none of....well...maybe clowns.....
Appearance – Reni stands at about 5'8'' and weighs 49 km. She has dark blue hair that she likes to roll up into two short piggy tails that hang just below her shoulders. Her skin is fairly pale, and she has long fingers. Reni didn't like the thought of glasses, so she got contact lenses, which frequently change the colour of her eyes to a variety of colours which depends on the angle she is facing you.
Fashion wise, Reni wears a dark blue shirt that matches the colour of her hair and long denim jeans that are a lighter blue colour. Over her shirt she wears a hot pink short sleeved jacket that has ends going just below her shoulder blades. She wears sneakers and a large hat of the same colour. Around her belt is a hot pink fanny pack around her waist.
History - Reni was born in Miami, Florida, in 1993. Her parents became very rich by winning the lottery when Reni got to year 6 and were constantly travelling, so they sent her to a boarding school in Perth, Australia, where her mother had lived before. She became quite attatched to her friends there and saw her teachers and other adults as her parent figures as she rarley saw hers. Reni had the potential to be the most popular girl in the school, but because she loved Pokemon so much she was passed off as nerdy by the popular group.
Reni wanted to show them that Pokemon wasn't dumb, but she had no way to do it. Then, her miracle arrived. She had heard of the 50 trainers going to the island of real Pokemon and was astounded when she was picked. But the boarding school was unwilling to let her go, so she slipped out and asked her grandmother to accompany her as her guardian to get on the plane. Her grandmother agreed, loving Pokemon herself (secret hobby! XD) on the promise that she would bring back a pokemon for her grandmother. And so she found herself on the boat, leading towards the greatest adventure of her life.

Personality - Namine has been described as a stubborn yet kind person that doesn't tend to take things very seriously. When she does, however, people have said that Namine becomes a whole different person: very stoic, and almost cold. This rarely happens, due to her overly cheerful mood. When it comes to doing things or helping with something, Namine is see's things with a fierce determination. She would never turn down anyone when asked to help, except when she is advised against it - which means she would help a drug dealer if she didn't know what he or she did.
Appearance - Namine balances out a total of five feet, five inches, and at a weight of 105 lbs. Her eyes are a light blue that most would see as gray when in dim light, though she claims that her eyes are really blue, not gray. She has long brown hair that is almost always kept in a ponytail, and her skin is slightly tanned from living along the coast.
She normally wears a tan tank-top with a brown hoodie jacket that is never zipped up, slightly loose blue jeans, and brown tennis shoes with a few sharp lines of blue running through the sides of them. She also has begun to wear a black belt along her waist with a small bag on the side that is filled with all different sorts of supplies.
History - Namine Mizuki had lived her life along the East Coast of America, always moving about due to her family being in the military. She lived a rather plain life, she made friends at school and at home, but always moved before ever truly making a connection with anyone - therefore becoming slightly detached from everything year after year. It wasn't too bad, she still made friends wherever she went, until a day in the year 2006. One of her friends at school had given Namine an old Pokemon game: Pokemon FireRed. It was her favorite game ever since, and she slowly became more attached to her friends because of it.
When she and her family moved yet again, Namine was crushed. All of the friends she had made would eventually forget about her, and she didn't like that one bit. Three years later, Namine had finally gotten out of her depression, and was ecstatic after hearing that a man named Jack Herus discovered an island full of actual Pokemon. After a minute of frozen shock, Namine tried all she could to be able to go. And finally, after a long wait, Namine was given an invitation, and nearly caused an uproar in the middle of her class at school.

Sample Rp - "3:32..." Namine whispered sleepily to her friend. The girl sighed, before looking back up to their History teacher. After being at the school for nearly seven hours, Namine was exhausted and depressed. It had been three straight weeks since she had begged her parents to put her name into the raffle for a ticket to the newly found Pokemon island. Despite her small depression, the girl could help but push a stray strand of hair behind her ear and shut her eyes in remembrance of the occasion.
Her sweet memories were cut off, however, when the girl - Namine recalled that her name was Jasmine - dug her elbow sharply into Namine's ribs. "What?" Namine said irritably, obviously not enjoying that Jasmine had disrupted her train of thought. Jasmine merely nodded towards the front of the room, where their History teacher had walked to the door of their classroom and had began to speak with someone they couldn't recognize. The two girls listened as closely as they could, but couldn't hear a thing due to their seats being in the back of the classroom.
After awhile, their teacher rose an eyebrow suspiciously, before looking around at the class until his eyes caught Namine. She flinched instinctively; it was never a good thing when their teacher stared at someone directly in the eye. Her fears were dimmed when her teacher pointed towards her uncaringly, before letting the unknown man in. The man walked towards Namine with a purpose, a polite smile on his face. The second he reached her, Namine swallowed. "Y-yeah?" She asked. The man said nothing and instead handed her an envelope before bowing lightly and walking out of the classroom. Raising her eyebrow, Namine read her name on the card before opening it. 'No return address, how strange.' She quickly opened the envelope without hesitation.....And the other students were forced to cover their ears when she suddenly shouted, "I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED?!"

Gender - Male
Age - 16
Personality - Dan is generally quite a quiet person, who likes to keep himself to himself.Dan's personality tends to make him blend in rather than stand out from the crowd, which suits him just fine. As an introvert, Dan rarely seems interested in socializing. It is therefore not surprising that he does not have many friends, although he is very loyal and forgiving to the ones that he does have. Dan hopes that by accepting his invitation to become a pokémon trainer, he can gain some much needed confidence and hopefully begin to stand out from the crowd.
Appearance - Dan is quite short or his age, standing at just 5 foot 6 inches tall. On top of this he has a slender frame, which causes many people to mistake him for being younger than he actually is. Dan has short blonde hair, which he styles into a faux hawk, and sea blue eyes. Due to his slender build, Dan chooses to wear tight fitting clothes.He wears a pair of dark skinny jeans with a slim fitting plain red tee-shirt. If the weather turns cold, he wears a grey three quarter length jacket over the top of this. He also has a tan shoulder bag to carry belongings such as his spare clothes and pokéballs around with him.
History -Dan had never really fitted in at his school. He had always been considered an outsider. Dan had always found school to be a bit of a struggle and had never enjoyed his time there, because of this he decided to drop out when he turned 16. With no plans on what he wanted to do with his life, Dan began to panic. That was when he received his invitation to become a pokémon trainer. As he had no real job aspirations, Dan decided to accept the invitation and begin life as a pokémon trainer.

Name: Alex Steele
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance:
Wears a black or grey beanie hat a lot of the time, underneath would be thick but short black hair. He is slightly tanned and has brown eyes, normal proportionate face. He has a small soul patch under his bottom lip which is always neat and trim.
He would often be seen wearing a white long sleeve t-shirt with a black zip-top hoodie with a Flame emblem on the hood and breast of the jacket. The zipper would also be a round, flat metallic ''smiley face'' emblem.
Usually he would wear a black or khaki green nylon belt , and has the outline of a fire ball engraved on the buckle, which would be a similar style to a skater style belt. Usually wears jeans when out and about, most often blue denim or else black or grey combat trousers. His shoes would be generic skate style shoes - he isn't a skater himself just enjoys the comfort of the clothing. Around one wrist he would have a bandanna tied off and a digital watch on the other.
Alex wears no jewlery except for a necklace around his neck which has a precious gem inside a small rock, looks quite rare and would be recognized as a Moon Stone Fragment by anyone who would be qualified to recognize it (given to him by his mother before she died as a gift from his father who died before he was born).
Personality:
A very observant guy, Alex will take time to observe a situation he is presented with before acting. Although he can often be caught by his emotions when his family would come into things causing him to act impulsively. He can be quite analytical and can size up a person, often quite accurately, within seconds of encountering them, although he has been wrong, he still will act on his gut feelings, allowing his subconscious to do the decision making while his conscious mind assess the situation.
He has a dry sense of humor and can be seen as quite cynical for a young man. He will be found laughing to himself sometimes in random periods, or even laughing in the face of a danger...quite literally, he finds the funny side to life. On a deeper level I guess he feels free, and if asked why, he would probably retort with
''Because you are only really free in life, when you have nothing left to loose",
which would be a reference to loosing his parents.
He is an emotional wall when it comes to relationships and keeps his friend-base small. Loosing loved ones is not something he wants to do to regularly - and bonding with others on more than a superficial level is an important but difficult factor for Alex.
He uses his intelligence as a defense when ever its needed and while he is quite bright and logical in thought, when it comes to academics he shows no apparent interest in the ''basic baby crap'' and would be more interested to learn and read about advanced materials, regardless if he fully understands it.
History:
Born to a local shop owner and his wife in Dublin City, Alex's father had passed away before he was born due to illness. His mother raised him alone and they built a strong bond together. They were Mother and Son and Bestfriends! Growing up in Dublin was enjoyable for Alex as he was right in the middle of the city, which was like a giant playground for him.
His mother ran the a Shop, taking over after the death of her husband. This gave Alex less time to study but more life experience. From a young age he had a wide range of knowledge on anything scientific or psychology based.
When Alex turned 10, the year he should have started school to study and eventually go to college to become a world renowned scientist studying the human brain, but his mother fell ill. He spent less days in school and more time covering shifts in the Mart along with the help of some of the Locals who in turn helped keep the Mart running. As he got older he spent more time in the shop and less time studying in school. His dream had started to die silently in the recesses of his mind. His mother was all he had left and he wanted to take care of her.
For the next 3 years, he woke up, went to work for the morning, and then did class in the afternoon before returning to the shop to work for the evening. He would then return home to care for his mother and rest.
Then several days before his 13th birthday, his mother's illness had declined rapidly and she had passed away due to unknown causes. Doctors couldn't determine what had caused her to fall ill - nor what had caused the rapid decline. This affected him so badly he gave up school
all together, shutting out the idea of becoming a Pokémon Researcher and letting his dream die along with his mother.
The years dragged on and while he recovered from his loss, he became over come with a sense of duty toward his family. Close to his 16th Birthday, a close family friend urged him to sell the shop and to start living his life. That he should be out there doing what he loved and not let his life become overwhelmed with work and responsibility.
After months of thinking about it, he settled on starting school and picking up where he left of several years ago. It didn't go well and Alex struggled with the social side of school aswell as the academic side. He wasn't use to making friends or studying, yet it was so natural to everyone else. Then one day he recieved a letter from Nintendo Corporation.
It read:
To Whom it May Concern;
You have been randomly selected as one of fifty people world wide, to be sent to the Pokémon Island. You will be departing on the 12th of June 2010 to be flown to the Island.
The letter went on to say what he would need, medical insurance details etc. But one thing struck him - Flights and accomodation paid for until he started earning his own money!
This was great, but Alex had no real interest in the Pokémon games as a child nor as a teenager, but the possibility of adventure and the fact there would be only 49 other trainers chosen peaked his interest.
So off he went to pack and get everything ready, and finally the day came to travel.

Appearance - Namine balances out a total of five feet, five inches, and at a weight of 105 lbs. Her eyes are a light blue that most would see as gray when in dim light, though she claims that her eyes are really blue, not gray. She has long brown hair that is almost always kept in a ponytail, and her skin is slightly tanned from living along the coast.
She normally wears a tan tank-top with a brown hoodie jacket that is never zipped up, slightly loose blue jeans, and brown tennis shoes with a few sharp lines of blue running through the sides of them. She also has begun to wear a black belt along her waist with a small bag on the side that is filled with all different sorts of supplies.
History - Namine Mizuki had lived her life along the East Coast of America, always moving about due to her family being in the military. She lived a rather plain life, she made friends at school and at home, but always moved before ever truly making a connection with anyone - therefore becoming slightly detached from everything year after year. It wasn't too bad, she still made friends wherever she went, until a day in the year 2006. One of her friends at school had given Namine an old Pokemon game: Pokemon FireRed. It was her favorite game ever since, and she slowly became more attached to her friends because of it.
When she and her family moved yet again, Namine was crushed. All of the friends she had made would eventually forget about her, and she didn't like that one bit. Three years later, Namine had finally gotten out of her depression, and was ecstatic after hearing that a man named Jack Herus discovered an island full of actual Pokemon. After a minute of frozen shock, Namine tried all she could to be able to go. And finally, after a long wait, Namine was given an invitation, and nearly caused an uproar in the middle of her class at school.

Sample Rp - "3:32..." Namine whispered sleepily to her friend. The girl sighed, before looking back up to their History teacher. After being at the school for nearly seven hours, Namine was exhausted and depressed. It had been three straight weeks since she had begged her parents to put her name into the raffle for a ticket to the newly found Pokemon island. Despite her small depression, the girl could help but push a stray strand of hair behind her ear and shut her eyes in remembrance of the occasion.
Her sweet memories were cut off, however, when the girl - Namine recalled that her name was Jasmine - dug her elbow sharply into Namine's ribs. "What?" Namine said irritably, obviously not enjoying that Jasmine had disrupted her train of thought. Jasmine merely nodded towards the front of the room, where their History teacher had walked to the door of their classroom and had began to speak with someone they couldn't recognize. The two girls listened as closely as they could, but couldn't hear a thing due to their seats being in the back of the classroom.
After awhile, their teacher rose an eyebrow suspiciously, before looking around at the class until his eyes caught Namine. She flinched instinctively; it was never a good thing when their teacher stared at someone directly in the eye. Her fears were dimmed when her teacher pointed towards her uncaringly, before letting the unknown man in. The man walked towards Namine with a purpose, a polite smile on his face. The second he reached her, Namine swallowed. "Y-yeah?" She asked. The man said nothing and instead handed her an envelope before bowing lightly and walking out of the classroom. Raising her eyebrow, Namine read her name on the card before opening it. 'No return address, how strange.' She quickly opened the envelope without hesitation.....And the other students were forced to cover their ears when she suddenly shouted, "I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED?!"

Personality - Dan is generally quite a quiet person, who likes to keep himself to himself.Dan's personality tends to make him blend in rather than stand out from the crowd, which suits him just fine. As an introvert, Dan rarely seems interested in socializing. It is therefore not surprising that he does not have many friends, although he is very loyal and forgiving to the ones that he does have. Dan hopes that by accepting his invitation to become a pokémon trainer, he can gain some much needed confidence and hopefully begin to stand out from the crowd.
Appearance - Dan is quite short or his age, standing at just 5 foot 6 inches tall. On top of this he has a slender frame, which causes many people to mistake him for being younger than he actually is. Dan has short blonde hair, which he styles into a faux hawk, and sea blue eyes. Due to his slender build, Dan chooses to wear tight fitting clothes.He wears a pair of dark skinny jeans with a slim fitting plain red tee-shirt. If the weather turns cold, he wears a grey three quarter length jacket over the top of this. He also has a tan shoulder bag to carry belongings such as his spare clothes and pokéballs around with him.
History -Dan had never really fitted in at his school. He had always been considered an outsider. Dan had always found school to be a bit of a struggle and had never enjoyed his time there, because of this he decided to drop out when he turned 16. With no plans on what he wanted to do with his life, Dan began to panic. That was when he received his invitation to become a pokémon trainer. As he had no real job aspirations, Dan decided to accept the invitation and begin life as a pokémon trainer.

Appearance:
Wears a black or grey beanie hat a lot of the time, underneath would be thick but short black hair. He is slightly tanned and has brown eyes, normal proportionate face. He has a small soul patch under his bottom lip which is always neat and trim.
He would often be seen wearing a white long sleeve t-shirt with a black zip-top hoodie with a Flame emblem on the hood and breast of the jacket. The zipper would also be a round, flat metallic ''smiley face'' emblem.
Usually he would wear a black or khaki green nylon belt , and has the outline of a fire ball engraved on the buckle, which would be a similar style to a skater style belt. Usually wears jeans when out and about, most often blue denim or else black or grey combat trousers. His shoes would be generic skate style shoes - he isn't a skater himself just enjoys the comfort of the clothing. Around one wrist he would have a bandanna tied off and a digital watch on the other.
Alex wears no jewlery except for a necklace around his neck which has a precious gem inside a small rock, looks quite rare and would be recognized as a Moon Stone Fragment by anyone who would be qualified to recognize it (given to him by his mother before she died as a gift from his father who died before he was born).
Personality:
A very observant guy, Alex will take time to observe a situation he is presented with before acting. Although he can often be caught by his emotions when his family would come into things causing him to act impulsively. He can be quite analytical and can size up a person, often quite accurately, within seconds of encountering them, although he has been wrong, he still will act on his gut feelings, allowing his subconscious to do the decision making while his conscious mind assess the situation.
He has a dry sense of humor and can be seen as quite cynical for a young man. He will be found laughing to himself sometimes in random periods, or even laughing in the face of a danger...quite literally, he finds the funny side to life. On a deeper level I guess he feels free, and if asked why, he would probably retort with
''Because you are only really free in life, when you have nothing left to loose",
which would be a reference to loosing his parents.
He is an emotional wall when it comes to relationships and keeps his friend-base small. Loosing loved ones is not something he wants to do to regularly - and bonding with others on more than a superficial level is an important but difficult factor for Alex.
He uses his intelligence as a defense when ever its needed and while he is quite bright and logical in thought, when it comes to academics he shows no apparent interest in the ''basic baby crap'' and would be more interested to learn and read about advanced materials, regardless if he fully understands it.
History:
Born to a local shop owner and his wife in Dublin City, Alex's father had passed away before he was born due to illness. His mother raised him alone and they built a strong bond together. They were Mother and Son and Bestfriends! Growing up in Dublin was enjoyable for Alex as he was right in the middle of the city, which was like a giant playground for him.
His mother ran the a Shop, taking over after the death of her husband. This gave Alex less time to study but more life experience. From a young age he had a wide range of knowledge on anything scientific or psychology based.
When Alex turned 10, the year he should have started school to study and eventually go to college to become a world renowned scientist studying the human brain, but his mother fell ill. He spent less days in school and more time covering shifts in the Mart along with the help of some of the Locals who in turn helped keep the Mart running. As he got older he spent more time in the shop and less time studying in school. His dream had started to die silently in the recesses of his mind. His mother was all he had left and he wanted to take care of her.
For the next 3 years, he woke up, went to work for the morning, and then did class in the afternoon before returning to the shop to work for the evening. He would then return home to care for his mother and rest.
Then several days before his 13th birthday, his mother's illness had declined rapidly and she had passed away due to unknown causes. Doctors couldn't determine what had caused her to fall ill - nor what had caused the rapid decline. This affected him so badly he gave up school
all together, shutting out the idea of becoming a Pokémon Researcher and letting his dream die along with his mother.
The years dragged on and while he recovered from his loss, he became over come with a sense of duty toward his family. Close to his 16th Birthday, a close family friend urged him to sell the shop and to start living his life. That he should be out there doing what he loved and not let his life become overwhelmed with work and responsibility.
After months of thinking about it, he settled on starting school and picking up where he left of several years ago. It didn't go well and Alex struggled with the social side of school aswell as the academic side. He wasn't use to making friends or studying, yet it was so natural to everyone else. Then one day he recieved a letter from Nintendo Corporation.
It read:
To Whom it May Concern;
You have been randomly selected as one of fifty people world wide, to be sent to the Pokémon Island. You will be departing on the 12th of June 2010 to be flown to the Island.
The letter went on to say what he would need, medical insurance details etc. But one thing struck him - Flights and accomodation paid for until he started earning his own money!
This was great, but Alex had no real interest in the Pokémon games as a child nor as a teenager, but the possibility of adventure and the fact there would be only 49 other trainers chosen peaked his interest.
So off he went to pack and get everything ready, and finally the day came to travel.
