PLOT - In 1996, game company "Nintendo" released its newest idea to the world. That idea was called Pokemon, and it revolutionized the gaming industry along with creating one of the biggest franchises ever. To many people Pokemon was just a game, trading card game, and a tv series, but little did they know a discovery would change all of that. In 2008 a man whose ship wrecked, drifted on to a massive island. On this island the man began to see creatures that looked very similar to that of Pokemon. The man befriended what looked to be a Squirtle, in which he trained on the island until it evolved into a Blastoise. With this Blastoise he headed back to America to tell everyone about his discovery. This man's name is Jack Herus and he is now known as the first Pokemon Champion. Quickly scientist began studying the Pokemon and found that only the first 150 exsist on the island. They have also created successful pokeballs and working pokedex's. In 2009, gyms, pokecenters, pokemarts, and a stadium were built on the island, as people anticipated the opening of a real live Pokemon League. Nintendo, who recieved the rights to these creatures and their home, sent out 50 invitations to random people to join the league.

Where you come in - The League is finally opening and you are one of the people who got an invitation. Even if you don't like Pokemon you still feel compelled to go and see what it's like. You will go to the island to catch, train and befriend Pokemon but you also have a bigger goal. There are four gyms located on the island and you must beat all four of the leaders to gain access to the championship tournament at the end of the year. If you win the tournament at the end of the year, you will have the honor of battling with Jack the discoverer. Also not everything is known about the island and so you may also discover some of the secrets it holds as you go along.(Believe me, something else is going on)

NOTE! I will be playing the part of Jack Herus as you may see him throughout your journey.

Rules -
1. No bunnying other player's characters without both my permission and the RPer's.

2. Ask for permission if you want to meet other Rpers during the RP. (I will
most likely agree if given advance notice)

3. Don't be mean to the other RPers and no swearing.

4. When trying to catch a Pokémon stop your post right after you throw
the pokeball. (See below)

5. I decide if you catch a Pokémon and what level it is.

6. Post often. If you haven't posted within six days since your last post I will VM you a warning telling you to post within 24 hours. If you still have not posted you will be kicked out. (I am giving you a week total) And please tell me if you will be gone for x-number of days in advance!

7. I am allowed to add and subtract rules if needed.

8. Also the RP will take place in chapter format.

Name - Sam McCormack
Gender - Male
Age - 17
Personality - Sam spent most of his life independently, and so isn't a very social person. He'd prefer to just sit at home alone with his thoughts rather than be "hanging out" with friends. Sport really isn't his thing, while he loves video games and talking to his closest friends, who have been with him since they first met in primary school. Rather than just jumping into conversations or groups, he prefers to lie low until he has certain aspects of the people worked out. A large part of his personality contains devotion and love, however rarely he shows it. Since he usually likes to be alone, he doesn't really know how to maintain conversation, so sometimes resorts to lashing out at the people around him. Get on his good side, though, and you could make yourself a great friend and ally.
Appearance - With very messy, sometimes ALMOST stylish brown-blonde hair, Sam can sometimes create quite a good look, with the right clothes, of course. This only includes a few select items, due to being a little very uneducated in fashion. He'll usually just wear what feels right at the time, but prefers a baggy, white, collared button-up shirt. Shorts really aren't his forté either, mostly wearing simple blue or black jeans. Headwear is a big no-no for Sam; He hates the way it feels when his messy hair is being pressed down on. Sometimes he'll also don a chrome ring, too, with a small Pokeball embossment on the top. He's quite skinny for his age, and his pale skin accentuates his piercing blue eyes. He's not exactly tall, either, but above average for a normal 17-year-old boy.
History - Sam had a tough life, being bullied all through his school years. He always found it hard to fit in, but there were always a select group of really close friends at hand. They helped him get through primary and high school, but after a year and a half at college, he had had enough again. People seemed to get more rude as they got older. Then, in 2008, as the discovery of Pokemon was declared, he became... Happy again. As if an old friend had returned from the grave, ready to welcome him. In a sense, it had. Pokemon Blue was, and always would be, his favourite game. And then one day in 2009, browsing the internet for information on the long-awaited Pokemon League tournament, he found a competition with an invitation to the massive event. He put his name down for the random draw, and awaited patiently for results. Two weeks later, they came through. He scrolled down the page, and there, in bold letters:
"Sam McCormack".
He nearly fell off his chair, and has been more excited than ever before since then.

Sample Rp - Javier continued running through the woods, digital video camera in hand, recording every bush, tree or patch of grass that he might come across. He made sure not to look back, keeping his eyes on the lens, remembering. They're all gone, he said to himself. Darren, Clayton, Katy, all gone... He tripped and fell on a raised tree root, cracking his head and smashing his glasses on a rock. Blind in one eye, he pushed himself to his knees. The camera was a few feet away, if he could just reach it... He crawled towards it, made sure it was all intact, then stumbled to his feet. Something caught his eye, a couple of yards in front of him. He looked up and saw it... Knowing it was all over, knowing he had seen what he was trying to avoid, he turned around, making one last, futile attempt to escape. He had barely gone a few steps before he was caught around the waist by something, then dragged back. He was being pulled around like a mere doll, then spun towards his attacker. Javier stared into the empty face of the being, then closed his eyes and waited...

His screams were heard by nobody.

Name - Jake
Gender - Male
Age - 18
Personality - Jake is very sharp. He is wise, and like riddles. He is also very agile, and his speed is unmatched by any of his friends. He yearns for knowledge, but is not an indoor person. He enjoys sports. He is an easy person to talk to, unless he gets philosophical. At that point he will speak almost entirely in monologue.
Appearance - Jake is skinny, and likes wearing red. He has messy brown hair. Jake's eyes are a bright blue. He is tall, about 6' 3". He lacks visible muscle, but he is stong none the less.
History - Jake was born in Melbourne, Australia. He was a big fan of Pokemon, but later on he became less and less interested. His Mother passed when he was 6, and he has been living with his father since. His father taught Zoology at Sydney for most of his life. He has been living in Sydney since. Jake still played Pokemon, but he only played Pokemon Red. His Dad got an invite to the Island, and when Jake found out he was stunned. How did Satoshi Tajiri know of this place? Why haven't sattelites picked it up? He was curious and so decided he would go. The U.N. was pleased.

"Come back here, Mareep!" Tom yelled after the hyper Pokemon

"Mareeeeep!"

Tom had never left the small town before, and was excited that he could finally see the woods leading from New Bark Town. Several other trainers were in the woods as well, training their new Pokemon.

"Mareeep!" It bleated

"AAUUGH!" Tom tackled Mareep sending them tumbling through a small clearing.

"Mareep!" It simply stated.

They walked through the woods, watching the archaic trees sway in the mist from the earlier rain. Tom noticed several Pidgey fluttering about the leafs on the top. There were also several nests of he Sentret near the base of the trees. Some were snuggling, and sleeping in piles. Tom stepped on a branch.

"Sentret?" one of them cried.

Suddenly all of them went into a chorus of;

"Sentret! Sentret, Sentret! Sentret! SenTRET!!"

They sounded like thousands of Wingull.

"Sentret! Sentret!" The Sentret all started running towards Tom and Mareep, and looked like they were all about to pounce on them at once.

"Run!" Tom yelled to his Mareep

They ran through the forest, but then at the base of the next tree, more Sentret would join, forming an ever growing mob of the tiny Pokemon.

"Sentret! Sentret, Sentret! Sentret!!"

Tom ran with his hands flailing in the air, trying to get to safety. Mareep was trying to zap some of the nuisances, but she could only get so many at a time!

"Sentret! Sentret, Sentret!"

The first Sentret ran over something and then stopped. Tom and Mareep were still running, but then stopped when they noticed the Sentret shivering.

"Sen- Sen- Sen- SENTRET!!!" The first one screamed in terror.

"POP"

Out of the ground came a raging Geodude.

"GEEOOOO-DUUUDDE!!" It screamed with blistering fury.
