Because of the way you originally phrased what Team Dawn was doing... that they were summoning, "new Pokemon". Most people took that to mean original Pokemon.

I wouldn't really say it is being a bad guy, I would say it is a different approach to training your pokemon.

The player will have options to 'purify' a shadow pokemon. Depending on if you have shadow pokemon or not, some people might talk differently to you.

After all, some might consider shadow pokemon to be abominations :D

Please keep in mind the idea of Shadow Pokemon in Dissension is not the same as in other official games.

the Progressing Hacks board. I'm posting this so that I'll be
free to post these in the future, without further preamble.

Chesu here! As some of you may know, I'm the lead spriter
for Pokemon Dissension. What you may not know is how much
goes into designing each character. With that in mind, starting today
I'll be giving you a look behind the curtain, at the development
process of some of Dissension's most important characters.
The first character we'll be looking at is...

Skyler

When I first starter working on characters for Dissension,
Slayer told me that his idea for the male protagonist was similar
to Palmer, the Tower Tycoon from Diamond and Pearl, but younger,
with a different color scheme. I doodled a simple concept
image based on his description.

While Slayer liked the basic design, it was too... well, basic.
He sent back his own more detailed doodle, and we agreed that
it was definitely more befitting a Pokemon series protagonist.

We tried a few different poses, and about forty shades
of brown, red, blue, and gray for his hair, but we eventually
settled on black. Before too long, I'd made a sprite that
we both liked, which became Skyler's final design.

Next time, I'll take you down the long, winding,
and much more interesting road that is the design
process of Kelly, Skyler's female counterpart.

Maybe one day, but as for now that feature is not going to be implemented, as I would like to make sure the ROM Hack version are also released within a considerable time frame.

Chances are the video will not be the one for the update. I also removed it from my youtube as that video is not the official video of that scene :D If and when I get an official version of that scene I will post it. Right now it is just considered spoiler material which I wish to keep off the board till it is ready.

Today, I'll be giving you a behind-the-scenes look at
the development of Kelly, Skyler's twin sister and the
female choice for protagonist of Pokemon Dissension.

Spoiler:

Like Skyler was originally based on Palmer, Kelly
was originally based on this image, Ajamarie Abad's
interpretation of herself as a Pokemon Trainer. In the
end, we decided to go with something more original.

When I sent the doodle of the brown-haired version
of Skyler to Slayer, I also sent this version of Kelly. We
agreed that the designs should be more interesting, with
more unique elements and small touches. Shortly after, we
decided that they should look like male a female versions
of the same person, like Red and Leaf from FireRed and
LeafGreen, and later we decided to make them twins.
Slayer sent me rough versions of what he thought
their new matching outfits should look like.

The doodles of Skyler and Kelly's clothing fit together
well, and we both liked them, so I started work on the sprites.
I liked the pose of Kelly's original sprite, so kept it in the new
design. We hadn't discussed how her hair should look, so
I tried a few different variations.

Kelly's design was originally meant to have googles,
but in the end Slayer didn't like how it looked. Eventually,
we settled on a hairstyle that was tied into some sort of
pointy bun or ponytail. I'm still not sure what to call it.

To celebrate the sprite being finished, I made
a special joke version, just in time for Easter. I've
made celebratory versions of important sprites
whenever I finished them ever since.

Next time, three designs will be in the spotlight-
Jackson, Kelly and Skyler's childhood friend and rival; Linden,
the Pokemon Professor; and, the minions of a mysterious group that's
causing trouble all over Koen, the Team Dusk Grunts. Watch for it!

Not bad, not bad at all, although i don't like that your using FR/LG charasets and Kyledoves D/P/P tileset, you should use either FR/LG style or D/P/P style, the mix doesn't look right in my eye's it never has in any fan game, but apart from this everything is looking great, keep up the good work.
