3rd Gen pokemon emerald curropt !!!!

Actually, yes, there is.

Each and every single Pokemon box has a sticker on it with authentic marks that verifies it is made by Gamefreak.

Really? What do these look like? Unfortunately, I lost the boxes for my games...

Always buy from a reputable dealer like Amazon or from a highly rated reseller . Never buy a Pokemon game ever from Ebay, it just leads to tons of ripoffs and the loss of your money.

I had a genuine ruby that didn't have any damage while with my jeans in the washing machine...

Or, you could pay a visit to your local gameshop. Gameshops get their shipments directly from the distributors so that's the safest way to ever buy a game.

After examining the game cartridge, you can tell it's a fake. The easiest way to tell (also on the box) is by looking at the "Official" Nintendo Seal of Quality. If it looks like this:
Original
Nintendo
Seal of Quality
Then it is fake. A real one looks like this:
Original
Nintendo
Seal of
Quality

Hope that helps, and thanks. :D

...Corrupt...Corrupt...Corrupt!

And as a mater of fact, something like that DID happen to my game. My Sapphire version fell out of my pocket into the mud, and when I took it out, cleaned it, and tried to stick it back in, not only did the entire thing corrupt, but the cartage itself no longer works. Good thing I transferred all my useful Pokes before hand.

It has happened to me, my game was genuine, but I just turned it on one day and my DS thought it was a Choice Pak or something...

Your Emerald cartridge should look like this.

Actually, that doesn't look quite right to me... this is what mine looks like.

Real copies of Emerald have a holographic sticker (difficult to capture on film) and the top-right and bottom-left corners are silvery.

It looks similar to me. I would like to point out that is not a picture of my Emerald cartridge, I found that one on the Internet since mine is missing.
