Disclaimer: Pokemon doesn't belong to me in anyway.

This is the story of a young boy, Ephraim, living in the region of Seripho, who is orphaned at the age of 6...since then, he has had to work for Team Rocket. Now, he is 14, and is being put to the test. Will he be a Grunt, or just dead? Only time can tell.

    Prolouge: The Truth

Here I am, sitting here, quietly, waiting for my name to be called. When it is called, I must take a survival test. I just needed to talk to my dad to make sure I had to do this...I was about to open his door, but then I heard voices.

"Giovanni, sir. Your adopted son...do you have any clue why he became an orphan?"

"You fool! You know damn well why! Don't you remember? He holds the key to the Kresshawl's tomb! We had to burn the house down! His parents never would've handed him over! Besides, he looks up to me!" my 'dad' said.

"No, I don't. So you've been using me this whole time, just to get the Pokemon of Light? You're the one who killed my parents? You forced me to kill others? Forget it. You just lost your son, prick." My eyes spotted the base self-destruct button. "So, if I press this button..." Just then, Giovanni and a Grunt with a flamethrower ran at me. The grunt, who I knew was terribly pathetic, got ready to shoot me. I ducked, and then tripped him using a leg sweep. I grabbed the flamethrower, and burned the grunt severely. I punched the self destruct button.

    "Self destruct in 20 seconds."

I slammed the door to Giovanni's room, and used the flamethrower to seal all the edges of the door, so he was stuck. I grabbed the Poke ball on the table, and ran for it. I grabbed the skyline from the base, and flew down to the island. "Let's see," I said, whilst my black hair with blue streaks flew through the air wildly, checking the map I jacked. The best escape route would be....this way...but it's all ocean from here! Wait, what's in the poke ball I wondered...? "Go, Poke ball!" Out came a white streak of light, and after it cleared up, I saw a sea turtle with a grayish saddle on its back. "Lapras!" It said happily.

I hopped on it, and we were riding away, but something was wrong: Sure, the base exploded, but nothing so major that a tsunami would be chasing after us.

I looked down, and I could see down to the ocean floor: a silhouette of a giant...Phoenix? It was too small to be a Lugia...Then I remembered my Pokedex.

"This Pokemon is undiscovered as of yet."

I just had to brace myself before I died from certain impact.

"Return, Lapras!" Lapras flew back in a red light, and I dove underwater. I got a closer look at that Pokemon. It wasn't a Kyogre, that's for sure. It bore a resemblance to the Kanto Birds, but this looked so much different from those birds.

This could be the Legendary War Pokemon, Tsunix. It was once seen, stopping a fight between the Sky Pokemon, Stratogon, and the Land Pokemon, Gaimoth, but after that it disappeared, never to be seen again. I went up to get some air, and dove back down to go see it. It went into a cave, so I followed it.

When I reached the surface, I could breathe. I turned to see my hunch was on the money. Tsunix was staring me dead in the eye. I noticed its beautiful wings, its black and blue texture. Wait, I wondered, if this is the War Pokemon, then it could stop the war that broke out!

"Please, Tsunix. A war has broke out between the Sky Pokemon and Land Pokemon. I need your assistance! Please!"

I was surprised to hear it talk.

"Ephraim. You were wise in coming to see me about the war. Alas, I have used too much energy stopping the war between Gaimoth and Stratogon. If you truly need my assistance, prove yourself worthy! I have one test for you, and that is to-

Oooh, it's really interesting so far. But I have no idea what the test should be, sorry. Anyway, good job.

I think he should raise the Lapras and prove that he can be a good trainer.

Another choice would be to protect its baby, or egg. That would be cool.

Go for whatever feels right. Maybe open a topic at the writers lounge.

Another suggestion: have him battle the Pokemon with his Lapras and show he a talented trainer so it will help him.

    This should be the prologue.

You're doing good so far. I like this! Keep it up.

    Chapter One: The Battle

We left off as Tsunix challenged Ephraim to a test. What's the test? Well, keep readin'!

Tsunix looked at me. "The test...That Lapras. You must defeat me in a battle. I will give you two extra pokemon, a Dewgong and a Octillery." As he said these words, a Dewgong and an Octillery appeared behind me. "Tsunix....I..accept...your terms! LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!" I yelled.

I thought to myself...Ok, Octillery's a beam factory, so I can use a lot of his attacks to my advantage. Dewgong's got Sheer Cold, and Lapras, Perish Song...Ok. Perish Song is my last resort, and just in case....I have my Max Revives.

I sent out Octillery. "Ok, Octillery, rapid Charge Beams!" I missed with all of them, but of course, that was my plan. Charge beam raises Special Attack, and since he shot 9 of them...."Ok, Octillery! ICE BEAM ON THE BATTLE GROUND!" Icebergs rose, and then my chance rose as well. "Octillery! FLAMETHROWER ON THE BERGS!" When the bergs were shot with the flames, they exploded, causing Ice Shards to appear. They kept hitting Tsunix, and eventually, the all disappeared.

"Heh, Ephraim. You've given me a battle like never before. Using your cunning to attack, and also making your pokemon look beautiful at the same time. Are you perchance..a Coordinator?" asked Tsunix

    "No, not really." I replied.

"Now, Octillery. Time for the big finale! Use your Hydro Pump on the ground below you!" Now Octillery was flying on water. "Ok, now, jump towards the Tsunix!" When Octillery was one inch away from Tsunix, I saw the chance. "OCTILLERY! USE YOUR BRINE ATTACK!" Since Octillery shoots the water to use Brine, boosts are gained. Tsunix's HP is below 50 % so the Attack Power is boosted, the Special Attack boost, and the Same Type Bonus, and of course, Octillery's up close to Tsunix's face. So Octillery kept shooting for 50 seconds, all the while flying back.

I had defeated Tsunix! Or so I thought....When the smoke cleared, Tsunix was barely standing, but somehow, Octillery fainted.

Tsunix then proceeded to explain. "It's my ability, Aqua Revenge. When I'm struck by a Water Type Move, and it takes me down to critical health, my ability allows me to survive the blow with some life left in me, and the attacker faints due to an extremly powerful water move."

I then realized it. "You gave me two water pokemon!" I cringed. I was at a major disadvantage.

"Ok, Lapras! The stage is set! GO!"

Lapras appeared, and then I formulated my strategy. I can use that ability of his to my advantage....Lapras's ability, Water Drain, means that it'll absorb that attack that Aqua Revenge deals. Ok, let's do this!!!

"Lapras, use Perish Song!" Lapras used the move, and both pokemon were set to die in two turns now.

Tsunix decided to attack. "Blizzard!" Lapras got hit, and now was in the red!

    "Ok, Lapras. Now! BRINE!"

Tsunix just sighed. "They never learn, do they?" Tsunix used his counterattack, and Lapras was at Full health!

Tsunix gaped in horror. "No one's ever done that before...."

    Persih Count: 1

Tsunix decided to finish this battle off. "Close Combat!!!" It was super-effective, and Lapras fainted. He forgot the one pokemon I had left..."Go, Dewgong!"

    Perish Count: 0

    Tsunix had fainted....I...I...won?!?!

Something was very wrong though. Tsunix was dying of something...

I dashed over to it, and used a Max Revive and Full Restore on it, but although I did this, it was still sick....*Go, Poke Ball!" I caught it, and dashed to get to the nearest Pokemon Center...but would I make in time?!

    To Be continued...

Hmm...i have to say, i am not a huge fan of first-person stories, but yours is coming along nicely. It seems like you know what you're doing, so you really didn't have to ask "What Should Happen?" It's your story, don't let the audience write it for you. You may want to go one way, but if you ask again, you could be sent completely off-course.

Oh, and some minor flaws. Your setting description is great, but try to refrain from game-speak. What i mean is, don't start saying "takes me down to red," or "ten-hp." It just doesn't look good. Try things like "Your attacks have taken my health to a code-red status" and such.

All in all, you are starting out just fine. Can't wait to see what happens next!

    Chapter 2: The Virus Begins

I rushed, kept rushing, to get to the hospital. I was almost near the door, when this kid comes out of nowhere, and challenges me to a battle.

"Not now, kid. I'm kind of in a hurry, if you hadn't noticed," I said.

I went into the hospital, and yelled, "Get me an ER, and fast!" The Nurse Joy there just stared at me, and asked why I needed one. I whispered it in her ear, and she just stared.

"Follow me," she said. When we reached it, I was overwhelmed. There were beds, sofas, television, even computers, and they also had some kind of swimming pool, but it was really hot. I had never seen any of this in my life before, since I lived with Team Rocket.

"Place the Poke Ball here," she said. She gestured to the computer, and she typed some numbers. Then, a silhouette of Tsunix appeared on the sceen, and Joy just shook her head. "Kid, where did you find this Tsunix?" she asked.

"I'd prefer not to say..." I replied. The nurse just stared vacantly at me, and then continued typing. "It appears something or someone has injected this Tsunix with a virus, but none like I've ever seen before. This Tsunix only has 6 months left to live," she stated solemnly. She typed some more numbers, and then she said, "You may or may not find the cure somewhere in the palace in the sky, hovering there in the clouds. It was rumoured that Stratogon lived there, but no one believes it. Alas, this Tsunix could mean there's a Stratogon and Gaimoth with the same problem."

"Why would that be? There's no way that the same virus could be attacking Gaimoth and Stratogon." I said. I believed the virus was attacking them, but I needed someone to confirm the truth.

"It's happening. Stratogon, Gaimoth, and Tsunix are all connected. When one is born, the other two are born as well," said a voice from behind me.

It was that kid from before. He had white and black hair, black pants, white boots, a black and white shirt, even black and white gloves. Everything about this kid was black and white!

"Ok, kid. How do you know this?" I asked. "The name's Jet Skye, and I know everything about sky, space, and flight. I also know a lot about mythology. If you need to get to the Solar Palace, I'm your man. Of course, if you want to get up there, you'll need to beat me in a battle," he said.

"You're on, Jet," I said. I needed to do this. I had to beat him. I had to save Tsunix!

    Chapter 3: The Battle

    "Go, Stratogon!" said Jet.

"So. That's how you knew about the trio being connected in more ways than one. Although it'd be unfair for you to use the legendary pokemon, I accept."

    "Go, Ralts!" I said.

The Ralts had been my very first Pokemon. It was Shiny, and Giovanni gave it to me. I remembered the Dawn Sone I found in Tsunix's cave, and another incident in the past. Ralts was starting to evolve but I stopped to evolution. The Pokedex had a Cancel Button.

Of course, I believed I could call on the power NOW.

    "Ralts! Evolve!"

A blue light covered Ralts, then yellow spirals appeared around it.

Out danced a Kirlia. Then, I fed it the Dawn Stone.

A gigantic blue flame enveloped Kirlia, and then a Shiny Gallade popped out, and then proceeded to use Hyper Beam.

The two Hyper Beams were evenly matched, going back, and forth, and back and forth. The I realized: If Gallade uses one hand to Hyper Beam Stratogon, and the other to use Leaf Blade...

"Blade! Jump up into Stratogon, and use Leaf Blade on its snout! Keep the Hyper Beam going as well!"

Blade jumped up, straight into its Hyper Beam, and, enveloped by the Hyper Beam's Power, used a Leaf Blade, and smashed Stratogon clean through the ground.

    To Be continued.
