Andrea looked up from his peaceful position on the couch, there, strolling on by, was Z, a fellow, not so unlike himself. He thought of Z his friend, seeing as they were both free-willed and reckless, and returned the young man's quip with one of his own, "23 seconds, aye? I'm sure you'll eventually get to my speed...someday." With that, Andrea gave a friendly smile and returned to staring at the ceilling until it was time to go. There was really no one to shock...Z was psychic and could probably detect his movements.

The girl in the corner? She was too much of a party pooper to even try anything funny on; Andrea never really got to know her, even with all the time he spent here and watched people come and go. She always seemed so tense, as if hating every minute she had to spend in this place. A sad existence, Andrea thought at once, his mind working rapidly to try and find some conclusion to his observation; perhaps he should get to know someone before he judged them, but he rationalized that away with the fact that he moves and thinks faster than anyone could ever hope to (a measure of his ego), so therefore he thought he had a right with all the observations made at rapid paces to judge people.

"I'm taking the bus today!" Andrea announced to whoever was listening in the kitchen at breakfast, by this time the whole institution had to be awake, it was nearly time to get out the door. But this new revelation had to shock someone people...having Andrea ride a bus was never a good thing, it moved far too slow in his opinion. Unlike the rest of the kids who had to use the bus to get to school, and had to go the normal way, Andrea had become very good at avoiding attention at high speeds throughout his life, so he preferred to run to school...it was a lot faster in his opinion.

"Yes, well, you're not jumping off of the roof to boot," I gently sniped, then laughed. "Anyways, I'm taking the day off. There's some training I need to catch up on, and I REALLY don't want to put up with algebra today." In truth, I had no more excuse than that. To my mind, I needed none. Sure, I might get in trouble later, but hey, that wasn't much to spoil the day. I walked to the kitchen and picked up an apple from a bowl on the table. Tossing it into the air, I deftly caught it, shouting back to Andrea, "Enjoy hell for me, will 'ya? I might drop by town later, there's a jam going on." I took a bite of the fruit, savoring the taste.

Still chewing on my bite of apple, I dropped into a comfortaable crouch in front of... Ashitaka, I thought her name was. She never said much and was rather distant from the rest of us, so I really didn't know her well. I swallowed, then took a second bit and mouthed through it, "Mornin' shunshine."

Early to bed, late to rise; his motto for school days. If you looked at him, you would see a perfectly organized young man, but that was hardly the truth in it; he slept in as late as he could in hopes of missing school. It all bored him, the classes taught what he knew, and the teachers told him the same. An eye sternly opened, the thought of his principal scanning his mind as usual, the same old pep-talk: Wake up, Shuuei. To miss school, is to miss a fresh beginning. "Yeah, yeah.. same old stuff, Professor," tossing and turning.. he finally called it a truce with his mind.

"Unh..," a pillow connected with the wall, leaving his head flat on the bed before he popped up; hair touselled, shirt only half-way on. He finished the deed, tossing it off and skimped to his closet in-tow of a clean shirt. Slowly, he skimmed through the tee shirts and button-downs; unsure of what to wear? No; still asleep. So he selected what he wore practically everyday: A plain black tee was torn from its hanger, along with a pair of women's bondage pants. He tugged them on, followed by the shirt and tossed on his worn hoody; the same one that the Professor always asked him to toss out for a new selection.

The halls were empty thankfully, for what he was about to do was reckless and stupid; another trait you wouldn't see from looking at him. Crooking his head out, strands of crimson fell to eye-level, hiding his optics from plain-view; The coast is clear. He remained stoic to a degree, but shot through the hallway and raced toward the steps, launching down the large staircase to land on his feet. While a harsh landing, his feet planted, "Hah!"

He then directed an eye at his watch, celebration cutting short, "Late for the bus!" As if on a swivel, his head turned toward the door and he practically phased through in appearance; the open-and-shut door clearing its occupation in less than ten seconds. Anxiety tore at him, he couldn't be late. So, rushing toward the bus he stumbled over several rocks, but finally caught up, the bus driver coming to a halt for him. The doors swung open on either side, his form flopping inside for a second before he looked up at his classmates. "Uh... Hey."

Darn... Is it okay if I join too, Raichu Master? Here's my profile so you can check it out to see if it's okay.

Name: Ryo
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Power: His powers come from the Tyranitars. He has overwhelmingly powerful strength and he has a special armor that looks just like regular skin that provides him with incredible defense.
Description: Ryo is at about 5 feet 6 inches, he wears a loose, dark blue T-shirt and he wears regular blue jeans. Certain parts of his body, like his cheeks, arms and back, have designs that are the greenish brown coloring of a Tyranitar, which he bandages. Although he wears clothes, he usually covers himself with a dark, navy blue cape with a hood from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. Despite having powers as a Tyranitar, Ryo lacks the tallness of one but his small size makes up for the bulkyness of others. He is slightly build and his jet black hair splits in between his deep blue eyes. He does look very enigmatic sometimes.
Morphed Description: When morphed, Ryo becomes taller and takes more characteristics of a Tyranitar than a human. He becomes a bit bigger in physical appearance, and he has destructive powers. His arms and legs have a number of spikes coming from the sides. His back also protrudes spikes in his hybrid from. His armoric body looks more dense and thick but is actually double layered, with the top piece hollow while the bottom is his armor and skin.
Personality: Ryo is the silent type and is very shy but once you get to know him, he is very friendly. Though shy, he is also serene and a bit of a loner. The kind-heartedness of Ryo's human side and his agressiveness of his Tyranitar side is forever conflicting so he may have sudden split personalities of kind-heartedness and agressiveness. Despite his emotionless expressions, he is extremely tough and enduring.

Okay. I think that'll do.

OOC: =3 Yay! Starting time!

Quynh sighed to herself. She could plainly see Ashitaka, sulking again about how she didn't want to be here. How pathetic. It wasn't that Quynh hated the girl, no she was all right, she just hated seeing her sulk. So life was unfair, so it wasn't perfect, big deal. There was nothing she could do about it, so what didn't she just accept it and go on with her life?

"That toast isn't gonna eat itself you know," Quynh said after Z had greeted her. She paused, looking at the girl's toast, and then at her own empty plate.

"Well if you aren't going to eat it, at least give it to me," she said, smiling a bit, her lavender eyes looking hopeful.

It had been a while that Quynh had lived in this place, and she knew the others well enough, they were oddly bound together by the fact that they were different. Quynh looked fairly normal compared to some of the others, her only distinctively pokemon feature being her small horn, though it was barely noticable as it was covered mostly by her lavender bangs.

Unlike Ashitaka, Quynh loved it here. She loved using her abilities, loved learning things, and loved a challenge. She couldn't wait to get on that bus and begin the day. The time was almost there, to go to school, and Quynh was already feeling pumped.

I merely looked at the boy crouching in front of me. Wordlessly, I gave the toast to the girl who'd adressed me. Quynh? I thought that was her name, anyways. I didn't attach myself to anyone here. Too much pain came out of getting too close to people.

Rising, I took another glance at the boy. "Good morning to you, Nathan," I said easilly, knowing full well that I might be pressing buttons by not using his nickname. I picked up my backpack. "If you're not actually going to go to school, you can walk a ways with me if you like."

Why I was allowing myself to even want company on my usually very lonely walk to school, I didn't know. Perhaps that was just it. I was rather lonely. I just didn't like it here... I missed being able to wander about the woods whenever I pleased.

Shrugging a little, I turned and left the kitchen, beginning my walk to school. Whether or not Z would follow remained to be seen.

I laughed softly and said, "As much as I'll be walking, sure, may as well." I made a mock-bow to Quynh, a quick and casual salute to Andrea and said, "See you two this afternoon sometime, huh? Looks like Mal's giving us another combat course." I rather liked the Sneasal mutant in charge of our martial training. I jogged a few steps to catch up to Ashitaka, somewhat taken aback by her offer.

With an easy smile, I said, "So why the company today? You've never been all that sociable before." I spun around and began walking backwards, an old habit that I might talk to her face-to-face.

I flushed a little. "I don't know," I said truthfully. "I guess everyone could use a little company sometimes," I said noncomittaly, absently smoothing out the bottom of my black, rocker T-shirt.

I peered at him for a moment, slightly pertubed by his walking backwards. "What is more curious, however, is the fact that you decided to come along."

I shrugged and pursed my lips a little before saying with a laugh, "Why the hell not? Kills a few minutes, and I get to talk to someone I don't know, maybe find out something new. I mean, you may as well enjoy life, right? So I decided I'd enjoy this more than a plate of cold eggs back at the Instute." I spun around and opened the door manually this time.

The sunshine was bright and wonderful on my skin and I smiled, taking a deep breath of the fresh air again. I easily hopped the few steps leading down to the ground and spun back around to face Ashitaka, saying, "So what is it you wanna enjoy right now? God's given us a beautiful day, make use of it." I reached into my pocket to pull out a pair of fingerless padded gloves to protect my palms and my shades. I put all three items on and gave Ashitaka a rougish smile, stopped and backflipped, saying, "You could always find out just why people call me an idiot."

OOC: All are accepted.

"Z...you're a party pooper..." Andrea replied in a whiny voice as he stomped over to where a group had assembled. "Just when I decide to ride the bus...no one takes it! Where's your sense of adventure? Besides, the Professor would never let any of us go walking to school, or skipping school. Walking causes problems with the 'local neighborhood' with having mutants running around and that nonsense," Andrea reasoned quickly, his way of pleading that they all take the bus this time around, promising adventure and fun if they did.

Andrea never did like Ashitaka, if the truth be told, he was afraid of the anti-social type, and she never looked to have the kind of personality that he preferred to socialized with. Hence, the reason he stayed away from the girl, since she scared him to a certain degree. "Come on! The bus is waiting for us!" Andrea pleaded one more time as he pointed at the bus that had just pulled up at the front of the institution since it regularly picked up the kids and transported them. "Pleeeease?" Andrea added, feeling childish but didn't really care, this was going to be fun. Or at least fun for Andrea, which included reckless bliss.

I peered at him curiously. "I have to get to school, Nathan. I do care about my grades. Then again, it's not like I should... They'll never let me out of here," I muttered darkly, bitterly.

I sighed a little and looked at him for a moment. "How can you enjoy life knowing you're the reason that someone else's has ended?" I asked him slowly, stopping at the top of the stairs. For once, an emotion flickered behing my crimson eyes. Fear perhaps. Fear and hurt. "How can you enjoy life when you've seen what death is like?"

I heard Andrea's pleas, but ignored them. I knew full well that I scared him. That kind of hurt me, actually. It wasn't that I hated everyone IN the institution, I just hated the people that ran it, the people that took me here. I hated how constricted I was. I didn't mean to frighten anyone, it was just too hard for me to let myself get close to anyone anymore. Too dangerous...

I blinked a little, taken aback by her question. For a moment, I became reflective, looking back myself on how I had come through my own trials. I smiled, a soft grin this time, not my usual reckless, challenging flash of teeth. With that, I said, "You keep fighting. That's all you can ever do, but this time, you jast add their cause to yours, pick up their sword and throw yourself back into life, lest you forget to live."

I then turned and said to Andrea, "I might, but there's no way in hell I'm riding inside that thing. It's too nice a day, and I wanna feel some wind. As for my schooling," I turned back to Ashitak, laughed and said, "It's not like I'll miss anything really important. Nor are my grades goning to tank." I was no stellar student, mainly due to laziness and boredom, but I managed to maintain a solid GPA and had good test scores. I added, "Long as I pass, the Professor can't complain."

I sighed a little and hoisted my backpack back up on my shoulder, heading off down the sidewalk. Professor wouldn't complain about my walking to school. We both knew full well that I could rebel in worse ways. I liked the fresh air, nature... Heck,it was all I had left of... her...

I shook my head and blinked back the tears that were forming in my eyes, pondering what Z had said as I walked to school. Sure, it sounded like a wonderful idea, but I had been scarred. It was going to take more than a few sentences to fix that. I laughed a little. Perhaps the emotional scars would eventually heal, and I could lead a normal, happy life, but I doubted all my physical scars would ever go away.

"You're loud."

Argent strode into the kitchen, backpack slung over one shoulder and seemingly prepared for school. Though addressing Andrea, the Umbreon mutant's gaze remained fixedly ahead, his crimson eye flashing with irritation. Picking up a piece of slightly-browned toast from a ceramic plate on the counter, Argent placed it in his mouth before raising his hands toward his headband. Pulling the cloth fastenings tighter, the youth paused to glance at those that remained in the room. I never did like the mornings, but I guess for every night, a morning has to follow.

Releasing a sigh that was stifled by the bread still in his mouth, Argent tilted his dark headband over his scarlet cat-eye. Though visibilty with only one eye could be frustrating, as well as rather detrimental to depth perception, it was--in many other aspects--practical.

Removing the toast from his mouth, Argent bit off a mouthful and swallowed it whole. Smiling in a manner that displayed all the comradery he had lacked less than a minute before, the Umbreon morph waved the burnt bread slightly as he announced, "Anyway, all, I'm off. See ya at school."

As he passed Andrea on his way out of the kitchen, he added, "I guess you'll be glad to know I'm taking the bus?"

Argent quickened his pace as he entered the front hall, finishing his breakfast in abnormally few bites. By the time he had reached the front door, the Umbreon morph had almost arrived at a full run. Hurrying down the cement path of the institution, Argent slowed as he approached the bus. Grasping the steel safety bar near the bus's door, Argent swung himself into the vehicle, casting a quick, casual form of salute as greeting to the bus's inhabitants.

Dropping his backpack into the nearest seat, Argent sat down beside it. However, no sooner had the bus started moving than the bus driver halted it and re-opened the doors. Argent automatically stood as another resident of the institution stumbled in. "Hey, that's . . . " Argent murmured.

Standing and stepping forward, Argent offered his hand to the Milotic morph as he quipped, "Glad you decided to join us today."

I looked at the bus and my friend, Andrea, then over to the slowly departing back of Ashitaka. I thought, caught in a rare moment of introspection. Using the pretense of straightening my jacket, I questioned which offered me the better life for today, maybe tomorrow, maybe the rest of my life. Coming to my decision, I gave another mock-salute to Andrea and said, "I think I'll be a Boy Scout today!" I turned and jogged after Ashitaka.

I cut through a small patch of woods to reach her, slipping and twisting through tree branches before vaulting over a low stone wall to reach her. Slightly out-of-breath, I said, "Hey, don't leave without me, huh? I said I'd walk with you a ways, and you've got me thinking about whjat you said back there." I clasped my hands together and said, "Wanna talk about it some more?"

Andrea watched the other students board the bus as everyone did every school day for as long as Andrea could remember! With a resigned sigh, Andrea took off after Z, though not particularly fond with walking around the ever scary Ashitaka. Yeah it was true Andrea was a young adult, one of the oldest, if not the oldest, student in the institution that wasn't a leader, which he hoped to be someday after school. Andrea had nothing to fear of any of the younger students, though Z was an exception since he seemed to train more than anything else, but other than that Andrea was the best trained student, since he had been training the longest out of all of them.

"So you aren't going to school?" Andrea asked skeptically as he threw a concerned look toward his friend. "Oh...you just can't compete with my grades, so you want to try and out train me...I gotcha...well good luck with that," Andrea said, trying to play with Z's pride trying to get him to change his mind. School really wasn't worth it without his friend, and without Z...was there really any point in going? Of course there was, but Andrea didn't think he could make it without Z...oh well...it was time to find out. Oh well...he could always catch up with the bus...there was bound to be excitement there.

I had opened my mouth to say something to Z, but stopped when Andrea showed up. I didn't want the entire world knowing everything. In fact, why did I want Z to know? What good would it do me?

I sighed a little and gave Z a very tired, sorrowful smile. "Looks like Andrea needs you more than I do," I said lightly. "You might want to go to school today after all."

I sped up my pace a little, offering the boys their privacy. Turning over my shoulder, I looked directly at Andrea. "I do hope I haven't frightened you, Andrea. I don't bite, I promise," I said slowly, a contrast to my quickening pace. It was easy enough to keep my face hidden behind my ringlets of brown hair, which I was greatful for. I didn't need either of them to see me crying. That wouldn't do anyone any good at all.

I sighed with mock-agony and said to Andrea, "Fine, fine. You've got me convinced. I'll be there come first period. But you are NOT getting me into that Algebra class today." I smiled and said, "See 'ya there, man. I'd like to walk with Ashitaka for a spell." I smiled at my friend, then began a light jog to once again, catch up with her. She had fast strides, it seemd, and it took me a while.

Once there, I managed to pick up on a very faint sound, almost like crying. Human ears couldn't have heard it, but then again, who amongst my friends was human? My cocky, easygoing demeanor faded slowly and I lightly tapped Ashitaka on the shoulder, saying, "You okay?"

OOC: Wow. Quite the people not taking the bus ride. Interesting... Well. Raichu Master has approved of my sign-up so here I go.

IC:
With a great big sigh, Ryo placed his final piece of garment on, a cape with a hood. He flipped on the hood and left for the bus stop. Quietly, Ryo waited for the bus that picked the students up. A loud screeching came from the oncoming school bus as it stopped beside the bus stop. As he walked towards the bus, Ryo turned his head to see a few students head off somewhere else. Their escapade piqued Ryo's interest. Ryo impulsively took off after them. "Guess I should see what they are doing....." Ryo said quietly to himself.

Hooray for late joining due to schoolwork!

Name: David E. Askan
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Power: Graced with some blood of an Ampharos, David has the ability to preform a few techniques:
1) Has the ability to produce light via the gem on his head, as well as the gem on his tail while transformed.
2) He can produce electricity and use it as desired, though on some occassions he ends up injuring himself.
3) If provoked to the point where he becomes extremely angry, his electricity becomes twice as powerful, though it severely drains his power, and injures him to the same severity. This situation is rare, however, because he isn't easily angered to that stage.

Description: With one quick glance at David's face, you'd be able to realize that he was no normal teenager. Embedded in the center of his forehead is a red, circular gem that is about the size of an eyeball. As a lie in public, he refers to it as a "birthmark", when in fact it has the ability to produce light. Other than that, no obvious markings make David appear unusual. As for what is normal about him, he stands at the height of 5'8", and has red hair that just grows over his ears. His eyes are a deep blue, and his face and nose are dotted with the odd freckle. Many describe his face as "pretty", and because his from is somewhat feminine, he is sometimes mistaken for a girl. David's arms are long and slim, and his hands are not very large, his nails aways trimmed in a neat manor. He is thin, but not dangerously thin. Atop his torso, he wears a plain black t-shirt below a grey, hooded sweatshirt, the word "QUICKSILVER" placed across the top section of the sweater. The only other marking that identifies him as "unique" is etched into his back: a large "S" shaped like a lightning bolt stretching from the bottom of his neck to his waist. Occasionally, it burns an inflicts pain upon David, not allowing him to forget his past. However, he's attempted to keep this scar a secret from everyone. His legs, like his arms, are quite thin, though his feet fit into a size 10 shoe. He wears a pair of navy blue jeans, which posess two front pockets, and two back pockets. For footwear, he wears a pair of grey skateboarder shoes, decorated with black shoelaces.

Morphed Description: Not much changes while David is morphed. For starters, he has a long yellow tail that juts out from right above his buttox, which often leaves a nice rip in his pants. Black stripes run horizantally across the tail, and a red gem like the one on his forehead is positioned on the end of the tail. Next, his ears are repositioned higher atop his head, and become the triangular, horizantally black striped ears of an Ampharos. Also, his blue eyes change to an electric yellow colour. Finally, his hair turns the same shade of black as the stripes.

Personality: Because of his horrendous past, David doesn't really speak that often, unless around friends. He doesn't act like it, but he distrusts anyone who's "normal". Despite all of this, he is very "playful", and is strikingly competitive. He also speaks of his past only to those he truly trusts, and he never participates in activities that he considers "stupid and pointless", which is also a phrase you'll hear him utter frequently. The only place he really opens up is in the Host Club, where girls actually come just to be with him. Apparently his feminine qualities are actually attractive to some girls. Though, to see his true colours you'd have to actually get involved with the club somehow.

Hooray for 45 minute sign ups! If you need me to edit anything, I'll do so.
