The ball continued to shake, and then finally stopped. The button's red light faded as the Drifloon was caught. "Squirt!" exclaimed Felix excitedly. "Well, that's a new friend to accompany us, I suppose," started Lucy, "what shall we name him?" She paused for a few moments and opened her mouth to say something, but Felix interrupted her. "Squirtle!"
"No, I will not name him Squirtle," she said with a grin. Felix frowned. "I know that's not what you meant, I was kidding," she picked up the Pokéball and began walking down the path to Jubilife. "His name shall be Nirvana. It means, 'extinction of the soul',"
"Squirtle…" Felix said and then sped up to catch up to Lucy. The two walked down the path, the sun beating down with its harsh rays. Lucy took off her scarf and put it in her backpack.
"Pst! Hey buddy!"
Lucy quickly turned around. She eyed the owner of the voice and and raised her eyebrows a bit. "You're the guy from before," she said with a bored tone. "Look, buzz off and make better use of your time."
"I need you to do me a favor," he said with an innocent voice, completely ignoring Lucy's request.
"No."
"Please?"
"I said, no."
"You're lucky my Pokémon was destroyed by the other kids, buster! I would creme that turtle of yours otherwise," he said proudly. Before he knew it, he was sent sprawling to the ground by Felix's tackle attack. "Nice one, Felix. I think you're just about ready for a gym battle," Lucy said as they entered the gate to Jubilife City.
