Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

Can somebody help me? Im making a hack but my problem is, the TM compatibillities of GEN I-V in the 1020 version is messed up, and it will take me my whole life to fix this, is there any way that i can do all of this in a lot more efficient way?

Weirdly enough it did that to me as well. Looking for a fix as well...
 
I've got a question.

in fire red, does anyone know the animation offsets of secondary move animations?(move animation that play in the next turn like fly, solar beam and sky attack)

These animations can be used in making new attacks, I mean there's even the ones for rollout, frustiration, and return.

I'm afraid you have to do it by hand in G3HS.

I would like to bring this problem to notice again. I am encountering the same problem and I am unable to fix it myself. Anyone has an idea who can help us out on this one?
I would like to edit Boldore, but it keeps crashing. Pokemon like Onix, Scyther and Slowpoke are working fine. It seems it crashes with the Pokemon that have new Evolutions, like ShyGuy mentioned.
Furthermore, the patch is working really well for me. Thanks a bunch again! :D
 
Hello,

I noticed a few errors when using G3HS AND PGE.
The evolution table are messed up, but while playing the Pokemons evolve normally as intended? But when I changed all in G3HS back to normal (as some evolutions in PGE were greyed out) they evolve wrongly. My Charmander evovled to a Wartortle?

I tried to add also fakemons first with A-Series and then trying to change the stats with G3HS but I get many errors doing so. Evolutions won't work neither.
Moreover the ???????? or free slots of Pokemons strangly enough have evolutions to them assigned which looks weird to me.

Another issue I encountered was with Eevee, Pidgey and Spearow so far. Sometimes these Pokemons appeared without a level (Lv) abbreviation; you could just see their sprite, name, number of level but not the lv abbreviation. And then sometimes they appear normally. It somehow appears more often with Pokemons level 2 and 4.

I hope somebody can help.

Hey guys I am here to say that I'll be back from vacation in 2-5 days so I will be back to ROM hacking and updating the base very soon along with me having a new computer so there's that
 
Hello, I have a question.

I'm trying to edit the starter pokemon via script, but I don't know what offsets to use for the Gen IV onwards pokemon (4001 being bulbasaur, etc).

Is there anywhere I can check this?

Edit: NVM found it. Chespin starts at 2BF

Edit: Nvm...changing chespin works but i can't change squirtle or charmander...

Edit: forgot there were 3 pokeball scripts >_>

Hey guys so I just wanted to say I'm back from vacation meaning I'll be back to rom hacking and working on the base again and I know how to easily fix the TM/HM compatabiles for all the Pokemon really quickly and I'll do the habitats so that can finally get out of the way also please start reporting bugs again so that I can try to fix them as soon as possible thank you also the bug with PGE and Pokemon like Magmar,Rhydon etc. is probably due to either 1. PGE Dosent support the new evolutions I gave to these Pokemon or 2. I wrote how to handle it wrong in the INI

So yeah I'm back to hacking everyone and I'll try to iron out the bugs as much as possible
 
can we trust that all evolutions that crash when trying to edit in g3hs or pge works properly already? because for me I was planning on doing a sweep to make sure all the moves, abilities, types, and evolutions were all correct before starting the hack. It's alot easier to check in a tool than to test it in game.
 
Yeah they all work except for the ones that need a hold item because I didn't program the new evolution stones and sachet and whippedream to work like in nameless fire red I will ask azurile13 to hopefully allow me to show me the offsets of the evolution stones

Make sure you use a clean rom. If you do, try 'dumping' a new clean rom. If you've done that, I'm sorry, I can't help you
 
So I've finally figured out how to successfully add new Pokémon to the 1020 base. (My biggest error was that I didn't edit the rom's hex before opening it in G3HS)

But how do I add cries?

For example I added Crystal Onix from the anime. How do I point it to the normal Onix' cry?
I've tried doing it in PGE, but it just crashes on anything beyond Chimecho... Is there a way to fix this? I know everything that mega evolves crashes, with no known fix, but is there a fix for this?

Also does anyone have my base with working TM/HM comparability or a 721 rom base or hack with this I need this to fix the issue I'm having with TM/HM being messed up and also now that I have an OVM that actually works on my laptop so now I can try to do the formes and forms tommorow and when I do the habitats I get them all to work except the rare one for some reason I'll try to figure it out until then I won't work on that part sadly so that's all I have to say for now I'll be back with more updates soon I hope

so i was searching throughout all my backups and it looks like i found one that has the working TM/HMs on all pokemon so now i can get focused on hopefully figuring out how to do the rare habitat and start on formes/forms

I don't know why that's important, but I put it right after 'Diancie-M' in G3HS. But I want to do this with some different mons as well, like a certain form of Exeggutor

The reason why it's important is because when you're adding cries you the Pokemon who is behind the Pokemon you want to add say Diancie M has a cry pointer in PGE find the reverse of what the pointer is and the one after Diancie M is gonna be crystal onix cry pointer.

What you do after that is write the offset of where it's at to remember it then go to PGE and find Onix and then copy the pointer of onix which PGE will tell you where it is and then make it the same for crystal onix and the cry will be the same
