hi everyone here you can post the fun or weird facts you have found about pokemon.

    1. Rhyhorn has the same cry as charizard
    2. politoad sudowodo and jumpluff all have the same cry but in different pitches
    3. in R/B Lickitung couldnt learn lick.
    4. the most damage possible is by a lvl 100 shuckle. dealing over 315,000,000 damage to a lvl 1 yanma or ledyba. but the situation neccesary would be near impossible

post your facts below and have fun.

No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Skarmory.
Although Skarmory is part Steel-type, and has a tail and claws, it cannot learn Iron Tail or Metal Claw.
Skarmory has kidnapped more Pokémon and people in the anime than any other Pokémon, with the possible exception of Meowth. It has kidnapped Jessie's Wobbuffet, May, an Azumarill, Meowth, and in the Mystery Dungeon special it also kidnapped Diglett, Pichu and Pikachu.

Thank you Bulbapedia! You can get some for each Pokemon! :D

even though slowpoke has been shown alot they never have used an attack
if a shellder is removed from slowbro it devolves into slowpoke

barboach and wishcash can learn spark, an electric attack through breeding which is kind of strange since both pokemon are water/ground types.

even though Wailord is the largest Pokemon in existence it weighs only a sixth of the weight of a Blue Whales tongue despite matching it in size.
Slowking is the only Pokemon in the games and anime that can speak the whole Human language with perfect grammar and pronounciation naturally. Meowth and other Pokemon had to learn over time and others used Telepathy.

Outside of the Meowth family, only one other Pokemon in 3rd/4th gen can be had with Pay Day: a special Skitty from Pokemon Box for GameCube.

Of course, the move was TM16 in first gen, so quite a few more Pokemon in first and second gen could be had with the move.

    Cranidos can't learn Skull Bash
Pidgeot can fly at speeds of Mach 2
Dodrio has three sets of hearts and lungs.

Electrode has a height of 3'11'' (1.2m) and a weight of 146.8 lbs. (66.6kg). Assuming that it has the shape of a perfect sphere, of which the diameter is its height, one could easily calculate its density, 73.6kg/m3. As the density of water is 1000kg/m3, it should be easy for it to float on water, and carrying something as heavy as 838kg, (nearly 2,000 lbs) should be possible. It would be extremely easy for it to carry an 87 pound person, the main protagonist of gen 4, yet electrode can't learn the HM surf.

Metagross (Other than Gyarados) is the only Pokemon to show up as a shiny in the anime.

What about Noctowl, Magikarp, Donphan, Butterfree and Magneton?

If there was a hypothetical pokemon with all seventeen types, it would only be weak to Rock-type attacks...ignoring attacks/hold items that nullify immunities.

Girafarig is palindromic, that is spelled the same backwards or forwards
    Same with Eevee and Ho-oh.

What about Noctowl, Magikarp, Donphan, Butterfree and Magneton?
I think a shiny Ditto's also appearing in the next JP episode.

According to its Pokedex entry, Latios is faster than a jet plane.

    Purugly is faster than Latios.

The Fire Red and Leaf Green girl was supposed to appear in versions Red and Blue, but was cut for some reason.

That's because you would need to strap an outboard motor to its butt in order for it to go anywhere.

exeggutor and jynx almost have the same cry
chansey and pidgeot almost have the same cry
slowbro and machoke *i think have the same cry*
omanyte and machop *i think have the same cry*
turtwig's cry almost sounds like it's saying its real name!
falkner has a low-leveled pidgeotto, same with lance who has a low levelled dragonite. *stupid trainers must have used action replay*

P.S. nintendo should change kanto pokemon cries, most of them have the same noise, everytime. D:

Paras and Mew have the same cry. One can only assume that those mushrooms are holy.

In the Beta of Pokemon Red/Blue there is a bit of text that shows you could originally collect special items with each badge. E.G., Brock's Badge allowed you to throw Stones at Pokemon, similar to the Safari Zone. Yes, remember kids, Badges can give you unlimited stones to throw at monsters*.

In the Beta of Pokemon Yellow there is unused script for if you battle a Pokemon in the wild without any Pokemon. It says: Oh no! You don't have any Pokemon! Run! Because everybody knows that without a Pokemon, you can't stand within 10 feet of a Caterpie.

Pokemon Gold/Silver have been called the "Beta Goldmine" as they contain so much Beta stuff it will blow your mind. There is an unused tileset for a Minecart (as seen in Pokemon Prism), and unused map for the Cinnabar Lab, an unused song which some believe was meant for the first Route, an prototype Lake of Rage map (assumed), an unused map similar to Violet City, and unused map similar to the Pattern Bush, an unused map for some crazy chicks house, an unused sprite and moveset for a Flying/Rock type Jirachi (You heard me right), and of course a Beta Safari Zone. That generation came when Satoshi Tajiri had a huge mind bomb.

Gastrodon was originally going to be in Ruby/Sapphire, but then Nintendo's marketing discovered that children don't like biodiverse sea slugs as much as they used to. They then forcably added it in Gen IV when they started running out of ideas: "Uh... A toaster Pokemon!"

As previously mentioned Pokemon Gold/Silver was the Beta heaven. Here is an unused song: https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=206083&highlight=Beta+Song

Mew was copyrighted in 1992, several years before the copyright of Pokemon/Pocket Monsters. This can lead us to presume that Satoshi Tajiri had originally planned it to be in another game. My assumption is that the title would be "Weird Embryo Fairy Thing Kicks Butt and Makes the Universe and Crap."

Grimer is made from something. You know what it is? Grime.

Voltorb was actually caused by an accident at a Pokeball factory. This is no joke. Somehow Pokeballs received a strange shock, a Haunter was involved, that's about all I know. One can only guess the pure irony when it is captured.

Jigglypuff is actually Rick Astley's cousin. This is proved by his popping up randomly and singing and also this transcript from the games: "Jigg, Jigglypuff puff! Jigglypuff Jiggly! Jiggly Puff PUFF Jigglypuff." "Hey everybody, I'm Jigglypuff. Rick Astley's my cousin yall."

Suicune, Raikou, and Entei are said to be reincarnated spirits of Pokemon that died in the tower when it burned down. Many believe that they were Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon.

*Monsters not included. All accesories shown here. Some assembly may be required. If badge does not work you may need to try again. Rules and regulations apply, results may vary.

Porygon has an extra joint hidden in it's tail.

At 395, Porygon has a higher base stat total then Butterfree, despite being a fully unevolved Pokémon in a 3 stage evolutionary line, and Butterfree being the final stage of a 3 stage evolutionary line, having a BST of only 385.

Porygon2 is the only Pokemon that has never had an animé voice. Porygon-Z is featured in PokéPark Wii, which uses pokemon's animé voices. Even when Porygon2 appears in Super Smash Brothers Melee, it remains mute, with only the sound effect of it charging and flipping in and out of cyberspace.

Skarmory, the Pigeot family, Chansey, and Pinsir all use the same base cry.

Porygon can learn Skull Bash, despite technically not having a skull.
