Metagross (Other than Gyarados) is the only Pokemon to show up as a shiny in the anime.

What about Noctowl, Magikarp, Donphan, Butterfree and Magneton?

There's more actually : Pichu, Shuckle, Dustox and Swellow too.
Pink Butterfree does not count as a shiny. Shiny Butterfree looks like this :

The Pink Butterfree, as you can see, does not look like that.

There's an episode of Pokemon later on [In the Pink!] where an island was introduced called Pinkan Island.
Pink fruit grows on the trees there and if a Pokemon eats one it gradually becomes pink.
If they continue eating the fruit they permanently stay pink.

This is probably what resulted in that Pink Butterfree. :3

If you look carefully, the male (the first sprite, has a black spot on its rear. ;)

Speaking of Torchic, it and its evolutions are the only full evolutionary line of starters to all have gender differences. :) Also, Shiny Milotic is the only shiny to have a specific gender difference (only in Platinum.) However, this is a error. :(

I see the gender difference on the evolutions.. but Torchic's is only different by one pixel that you see only from the backside.

It is actually demonstrated that if examined through the use of a cheating device, Joey's Rattata(The guy that talks to you every 5 seconds on GSC and HGSS to brag about his Rattata) really is in the top percent of Rattata, possessing an Adamant nature as well an IV spread of 30 31 29 31 26 30.

Because I'm such a lake trio fanatic I simply must do this one. <3

Look carefully at the puddles.
If you notice, in each cave the spots in the puddles show exactly where the other
members of the trio are on the Sinnoh map, AND the relative positions of the other two in their caves.
[ Uxie is at the top, Mesprit at the bottom left, Azelf on the bottom right ]

The patterns of the water also resemble Spear Pillar and the order in which each member is supposed to be placed in on it.

There are two extra pillars that hold the Adamant and Lustrous orbs as you can see from the photo.
Azelf and Mesprit's caves both have a line going between them.. which resembles the orb holding pillars as well.
[ Except in the photo they are at the top and in the caves they are at the bottom ]

One last thing the puddles resemble. In order :
Uxie ; Giratina's face from the front.
Mesprit ; Dialga's face from side view.
Azelf ; Palkia's face from side view.

Also holy crap! 777th post was made on the lake trio!

Luvdiscs shiny form is based upon the term 'having a Heart of Gold' meaning a person without malice or sin.

Also, many people have noted how Buizel resembles Tails, well, I'd say Buizels shiny form helps with this being that its shiny form is coloured yellow, like Super Tails.
