Pokemon: Gothic Black

(I AM LOOKING FOR SCRIPTORS, SPRITERS, MAPPERS, ANY POSITION IS UP FOR GRABS (Well, except lead story)!!!)


About me...
Who cares?
Well, I am Zanny77. I have been doing sprites for about 2 months, and I am currently doing sprites (among other things) for Pokemon ToxicPurple, and Pokemon AquaSteel.

Plot...
What a twist!

Why not read the intro?

You (a gothic boy/girl) are living a normal life in your hometown of Kyuss. The entire world is one, big Hot Topic store for the most part. Some towns have more specified interests (there is a town for each type of music I want to incorporate, ranging from emo to death metal to biker metal). Your having a fine day, when a news bulletin flashes on the TV. A gang of misfits are trying to take over the world! This may not really warrant your attention, but they have already captured a town to the North...where your best friend (name) lives!! This gang is apparetnly using "love and happiness" music to brainwash the citizens into a group of happy-go-lucky people! They ditch their goth clothes for pink shirts and khaki shorts! And then the clincher....(name) is in a white frilly shirt and a pink dress! You scream and run out, bent on destroying them! You go downstairs and find your parents watching the same tragedy unfold. But after the birth of your baby sister, they need to take care of you. You are 18, so they decided to have you fight for them. They send you to Aqua Black, where you can buy your first Pokemon, although due to the crisis, they decided to give you one for free! You get to choose between Candesm, a candle Pokemon (fire), Blial, a blood vial Pokemon (water), or Belrose, a rose Pokemon (grass). You must now make your selection and go off to fight these horrid gang members! The first town you meet isn't really noticeable, but once you go underground, you see a hive of emos underground (que AFI - The Interview). It seems no one has been "infected" so you presume the town is safe, but then you hear a cry from a cave nearby. You investigate, and find that that gang is planning an attack! You take them on, and slowly you manage to get information out of them. They are Team Happiness, a gang bent on making the world happy and care-free. You wonder why they are doing this, and it seems each happy-go-lucky member after the other is crazier than the last. Then you find the commander of this group. He reveals the true reason of making everyone happy: to unleash a mighty Pokemon! (Don't worry, this won't be as generic as it sounds...give it some time.) Yes! It is said that if the world becomes endangered and the blackness turns to happiness, a mighty gothic Pokemon will come to save them...and they plan on capturing it! You take down the commander in a battle, and he admits defeat. He thinks you may be strong enough to join Team Happiness, and gives you a Key#1 to get into the Happy HQ. You go on through your quest. As you reach Linkin, the town of the incident on TV, you see it has gotten worse. Happy music blares non-stop from loudspeakers, and all the citizens are acting like there is nothing evil or morbid in the world, only sunshine and happiness. You destroy the speakers to stop the music, and the citizens look at you, still brainwashed. The commander of the squad that took over this group comes over to you. He tries to corrupt you, tempting you to power, money, men/women up to your eyeballs. Saying all you need to do is listen to the music. You question him further, trying to figure out how far this has spread. He tells you that 10 squads have set out to control the world, taking over each town and city in the region. He then sends the brainwashed horde against you, but you manage to fight and survive. You then take down the commander. He laughs and gives you a Key#2, only saying "Now everything is falling into place...." before fleeing. With him gone, you manage to restore the citizens back to themselves, and the town slowly begins the procress of becoming normal again.

Life isn't easy for you, a gothic boy/girl. You constantly need hair dye, your clothes keep ripping on the rocks of the Mountainous region of Sizein, and your tired of your parents always on your case because you don't like the newest band shirts being sold at the nearest gothic shop, Aqua Black.
But then again, when the whole world is as gothic as you, that's a plus.

...until Team Happiness comes.

You must set out and save the world from this horrid monstrosity bent on spreading such maniacal ideas as joy, happiness....and music about loving everyone.

And even if you can manage to beat the 8 admins to get to the head honcho and beat him...there's even more happiness that lurks behind the scenes.

Features

-Custom sprites. New characters, new scenery, new maps, new trainers, new hero/heroine, new rival, and of course...
-FAKEMON.
-Complete new region
-New team
-Complete redesign of scenery, items, buildings, ground
-An ultimate 10 trainer non-stop battle near the end...although other details are still pending.

Yes, I am the only person working on it. I honestly CAN do it, with a little help to get started. Just some help in scripting. I may also need some help with sprites....as I will be using UTTERLY new sprites.


....or not. I honestly can't script worth crap. Maybe can I get some scriptors who can help me? I'll give you all my ideas for quotes and stuff...I just don't know how to change all the text and movements and... :\

Ok I don't really like the idea of team happiness maybe a different name. Also is the main character evil or just doesn't like happiness. You might also need more featuers or a mod will close your topic. Anyway good luck and happy hacking.

Thanks for letting me know...the idea is still working its way into real life, so some of the features are still being worked out.
Your character isn't really evil...he just enjoys brooding and doesn't like Happiness.
Also. the name Team Happiness is just putting the idea of them bluntly.
But anyway, think you for your support.

You can see their work because you will see cities with actual colors, at least besides dark colors, like a city is BRIGHT PINK. *shudder*

i like it, im fairly sure if you can make a good goth spirte of you Playable, i would deff like to some how include charcole in to the story, (bit of cross-ref ay)

Your against like people like the strawberry blondes, wearing the latest fashion. Team happiness seems to be trying to inforce a mainstream look, to the pokemon world.

Actually, all inspiration was from my head, that it sounds like Charcoale is an utter coincidence. I wouldn't mind some cross-ref though.
Also, the idea you have for Team Happiness is pretty much right. Oh, and I'll hurry up and get that sprite done. :\

I like the idea of her being a celebrity, honestly. Thing is, may game has (insert big number of Fakemon), all based off of gothic stuff...so idk how if Charcole has

...etc.
But in Gothic Black, she would have to have

...etc.
So idk how that would work.

Well if it's goth it would have less mainstream-ish music. The Used, Norma Jean, and Chiodos are pretty sick though. ;) And yeah a lot of the rest of the music I used to like, but no longer do, as with a lot of other bands lately.

You should use "No Hardcore Dancing In the Living Room" by Chiodos instead lol

huh? mainstream-ish? where? The only real mainstream stuff is Korn. If you mean by bands, yea, there are a lot of well known bands, but go figure.

About "No Hardcore Dancing in the Living Room," to me, it just doesn't have the same epic feel as Lexington...which is important for the Uber ????? Battle.

I'm too busy with ToxicPurple/real life stuff to be working on another hack, but I speak baby XSE pretty well, so lemme know what you need to know. (I haven't got the hang of level scripts yet, though.)

Thanx for the support, and although I would love "MOAR TOOL," I tried to vary the soundtrack, taking one song from a certain band. I also will probably end up PMing u to help me with scripting. :D (Yay! Finally I can get the script working!)
