4th Gen Pokemon HGSS Events revealed

Its kinda hard to hear though for now. So hopefully when I play its ok. I plan to play it on Japanese release.

I'm able to hear a good deal of this music quite clearly - leastways, better than previous ones. We had a second or two of Ilex forest (=/), many seconds of the battle theme - which I really quite like - also seems true to the old version as well - a bit of the Ruins of Alph, and also the music playing in the snow sounds liked remixed/different versions of music in D/P/Pt.

(Huzzah for uploading vid. link and some screenshots into info thread - new info is always good).

Amazing !!! What will be that mysterious egg ?

So wait let me get this straight. The Notch eared Pichu comes out of nowhere from behind the shrine. The battle music and battle bars are excellent. I love the sprites as well. And wow the ruins. Creepy. Arceus connected to the unowns for the birth of the dragon? Interesting...

arceus event in ruins of alph?
well one bit was
and Arceus looked pretty big next to gold, which im happy about
i swear it took up more than one square?
the notched-ear pichu looks so cute!
i wonder if its evolutions also have notched ears, and if they have different sprites, too, for that matter.
i like the music when you catch a pokemon aswell
just slightly different from DPPt but it makes a difference :).
cannot wait for these!

Wrong again. Shinto Ruins 「シントいせき」would be a better-working translation than "Temple", and "Shinto" 「シント」 doesn't necessarily refer to Shintoism. It could be a play on the word "Silent" or be a portmanteau of Johto 「ジョウ」 and Sinnoh 「シンオウ」which I'd be led to believe is a more logical idea. It certainly would fall in line with Tohjo Falls「トージョウのたき」.

Ugh, thanks. next time you should be the first to post it then, then you wouldnt have to piss God off by correcting me. Shinto could also actually be related to "Shintoism" if you think about the nature of Arceus.

First, I'd like to say, I really like all the music they played. (This is the first time I've seen/heard this video.)

The music for Ilex Forest sounds really good. I also like the Pichu event. It looks so cute hopping up and down. At first I wasn't sure, but now I hope we get this event.

I also like the updated battle music. I like it a lot better than the music in DPPt. It sounds really pretty and I like the Pichu sprites. It has the same rhythm, but it sounds a lot better than the old one.

The Ruins of Alph look lovely and the theme sounds really cool. Even though a small portion was played, I liked it. I even danced to it. XD I can't wait to listen to the whole thing when I actually play the game. Lol at Arceus following the trainer. I can image Team Rocket saying "You don't look so tough" when you have the creator of all Pokemon behind you. LOL

The music for this game sounds really good so far. They're keeping the same rhythms from the old, which is good, but they've made it better.

Great work Game Freak/Nintendo. Thank you to the person who posted this video.

It is speculated that the Notch Eared Pichu will appear from behind the shrine, or somewhere close. However, it isn't exactly known as yet. The music has a good ring to it, and it is actually better than some before it. I like the battle music as well, it gives me a little notion to the originals so many years ago [not to mention it was heard the most].

Arceus being connected to the Unowns for the birth of one of the three Legendary Dragons does not come in as a large surprise to me really. It pieces together well, because the Unowns are known to live in a parallel dimension of time and space. This was also shown in two of the Pokémon movies [Spell of the Unowns and The Rise of Darkrai]. They were seen in their own dimension at first and then they were seen between the large fight with Dialga and Palkia.

Seeing as the legendaries are going to come from an egg is what interests me the most though. It'll be the actual first time we see a legendary such as these three coming from an egg [this is if you disclude the hatching of Phione].

I just have to say thank you so much for that lol XD I mentioned that on another forum last night, and got straight away flamed by a person who thought that the meaning could only be regarding Shintoism lol... I'm glad to see someone else has a good eye ;)

Or and this is a crazy one but what if Dialga and Palkia both get an origin forme. Think of it. Origin means beginning so why not their birth(or the beginning of their lives) brining along an original form. Sure it does not make sense but Giratina would technically be born in it and all. Its a nice tought I doubt it but it would be good to see a form change for both the dragons. Giratina has its origin form for the distortion world and another form for the outside world so what if the dragons get it for say their creation. That mountain could bring along portals to their specific dimensions which would then allow you to obtain an item for the form change.

I don't really know if it will be in it's origin forme when born even though that makes the most sense :/ Just simply going off the fact that on the website it's not :P I really do think it would make more sense though lol XD

While true I dunno it seems like they could hide it but yeah. With giratina its more of a Larvae state and the Another Forme is more of a adult state. And hey look how all the symbols are the same.

I'll address some key issues with the whole Shintoism thing here and now.

One thing from learning Japanese and looking at words tells me: removing one character CAN change the entire meaning completely (more often than in English).

"Shintoism" in Japanese is written as "Shintou"「しんとう」【神道】yet, in the name, Shinto Ruins「シントいせき」we lack the「う」character. If it really was based on Shintoism, the name would probably be 「シントウいせき」or「しんとういせき」

That's actually the same arguement I made for it lol ^^ I said you can't say that names are expected to change spelling (ie dropping characters) look at Kanto, it's based on 関東, which is Kantou and then in the games we have カントー Kanto- which are essentially the same thing expressed in a different style of writing :) (and as you said, this is a blatant spelling change) Glad to see that there are multiple people out there thinking like that :)

i actually think thats a really good idea
and them holding the orbs or spheres (gone blank on their names) could change them into their DPPt formes.
this means that Giratina's the reverse, as holding the item it gets origin forme, and without it, its got other forme, and as Giratina's from the "reverse world" this could work
doesn't seem too likely, but it'd be pretty immense.

also, in those ruins with arceus and cynthia the three floor patterns are coloured pink, blue and red; palkia, dialga & giratina ;).

The idea sounds cool with having a new alternate origin form for Palkia and Dialga, however it might not happen. Nothing but their original forms for the three Dragon types [Dialga, Palka, and Giratina] are shown on a few sites when it comes to this event. So to me, I don't think they'll recieve any different forms for Dialga nor Palkia, it would be too much in a way.

I do see the three patterns making the triangular appearance. Not to mention they are colored, with a ring in the center of each. I would assume [by speculation] that we will have to choose a certain colored pattern to step in, and depending on that color is the legendary we recieve. Such as blue for Dialga, Pink for Palkia, and Red for Giratina. It makes sense rather than being asked a question by Cynthia about it as well.

that seems to be the most logical way to do it.
btw, I feel absolutely HORRIBLE for whoever is in the pichu suit. That must be a fate worse than death!

Notch Ear Pichu and Shinies...

I was wondering...what would happen to Pichu's ear if it evolved. So far there hasn't been
too many details on it. And about shinies, will there be sprites for them?
Pikachu Coloured Pichu doesn't answer my question mainly because its a movie event Pokemon. So what does say for the Red Gyarados? Any ideas?

Why wouldn't there be sprites for shinies?... I don't think I understand.

I think that the Notched-Ear Pichu is an "alternate forme" of Pichu, sort of like Shaymin, Deoxys, or even Wormadam, which would mean that Pikachu and Raichu would have a notched ear too.
