4th Gen Pokemon HGSS Events revealed

Thats kinda what I mean...Notch Ear is an alternate form in a way. Pichu is an alternate form that can't change form. Burmy was able to but couldn't once it evolved. Shaymin and Deoxys can change form "at will" but being legendary they can't evolve.
 
I don't think it'll even be able to evolve. Well, it might not.
If it does, notched-ear uber Raichu plzkthx.
 
Merged topic on the NEP and whether it'd evolve or not, as this thread already discusses it (and other events).
 
I would believe the Notch Eared Pichu will be given the opportunity to evolve. I mean nothing has been altered with its stats [or as far as I can see nothing has been changed] and all it is, is one Pichu with a different ear. So, I'm sure that either the Pichu will be holding the Everstone like the Pikachu Colored Pichu or just its favorite berry as the 12th movie portrayed it liking. All that will make its evolutions different is the move Pain Split, which is actually pretty good, knowing that Raichu has decent speed and may come in useful for competitive battling. As for the ear genes, I would say it might possibly be moved on.

However, the Notch Eared Pichu in the game is a female, like in the movie, and DPPt gave the female Pikachu and Raichu a bit of difference from their male counterparts. So, it is hard to pinpoint if the change in ear might continue or if the female differences will be marked as a change [which would be the indent on its tail]. Over all, I see it possible for having it evolve and I wouldn't mind either as it may turn out pretty well, but for me, I won't be evolving mines if possible.
 
I really like the battle music and the fact that you can have a hatched Dialga, Palkia or Giratina (if that's what was said) The part where you get the two Pichu as well was really cute. I can't wait for this game to be released now. I wouldn't evolve my Pichu, I would want it to stay that way. It is nice that way.
 
Hey, this proves that Giratina was indeed created at the same time as Palkia and Dialga!

I think Pikachu & Raichu will have notched ears too. Somewhere in a translation it was said that the Pikachu Colored Pichu could still activate that event even if you evolved it so I think the following sprites can be shiny too. Thats a lot of Over World Sprites though.

That's been directly stated before...

I doubt it will retain the notch'd ear if you evolve Notch'd Pichu. And PcP can still activate the event even if it evolves because it has a hidden value that makes the event activate. It's for that reason that not just any pichu/pikachu/raichu will activate the event. (the same goes for other event pokemon, such as Movie Arceus, Movie Regigigas, and Draco Meteor Jirachi, etc. These pokemon are crafted to activate the event(s) that accompanies it.)
 
A Notched Ear Pichu...So...

Like any other Pichu, it probably will evolve into something significant. Like a Notched ear Pikachu. Or at least it better.
 
I'm hoping it doesn't evolve and just gets a better move set and buffed up base stats from a regular Pichu
 
really even if someone got this pitchu, i bet i would give it an oval stone and keep it the way it is even if it evolved, cuz i have the biggest feeling it will just evolve to a regular pikachu, if they even chose to make it evolve, as well the pikachu colored pichu is nothing but a shining pichu, so it will most probably evolve into a shining pikachu

I would keep my Shining Pichu. I need further conformation to decide with the Notched-Ear one though.
 
The Pikachu Colored Pichu is nothing but a movie event shiny. So, more than likely it'll simply evolve into a Shiny Pikachu when its happiness level is high enough. As will Pikachu later evolve into a Shiny Raichu if a Thunderstone were to be used. The Notch Eared Pichu, my speculated theory is that if evolved, [I've said this before] then the Pichu will simply have the differenciated tail that DPPt gave the female Pikachu and Raichu seeing as the Gizamimi Pichu is shown as a female as well.

If not, then either it may not be allowed to evolve or the Pikachu and Raichu will have a Notch Eared as well, but I honestly think that may be extending the idea a little too far. Plus, if it were to be traded into DPPt, the ear might be reverted back to normal and if it is evolved and traded to DPPt, then the Pikachu or Raichu's sprite will just revert into how the female Pikachu evolution line is now. So, it is basically a question with the Notched Pichu, but as for the Pikachu Colored Pichu, I think it'll be able to evolve hands down.

But how do we know it's always going to be female? It could be different depending on what you happen to get in your game. And I think that if you trade if from HgSs -> DPPt -> HgSs, it'll still have the notched ear since it has a special value that makes it that way, just like other events have special values that open up events. As for being the same or different when it evolves... there's really no way to tell besides waiting =P

The 12th movie details confirmed the Gizamimi Pichu to be female. That was one start from that statement and then when the video released the battle scene it was shown the Gizamimi Pichu was a female once more. So, by following these two facts, I speculate that it'll more than likely end up a female, however this is speculation based on what I see and know. It may turn out to be a male at times, but is hasn't been told of as yet.

As for the trading between DPPt and HGSS, it is possible that it may keep the notched ear, however DPPt has no coding for this event nor the Pichu. This is the main cause in why many people believe it'll convert back to a regular Pichu. It is shown to have a different ear in the battle as it is in a fight between the new remakes, so it is not 100% sure of as yet. Though, I strongly believe the coversion of it when being traded may happen. I agree with the evolution thesis though, it is best to wait for more details on this.

either that, but we've got a fair bit of info about that, obtain it, send to HG/SS, send to pokewalker, BAM, edge of the night sky course

i wanna know if we'll be able to get it!
& i want something about a deoxys, event, this way we'd actually be able to obtain all the legendaries.
 
we've already had a deoxys event for the 10th movie. And the one at Gamestop. How may more Events for Deoxys do we need?

Next, I hope for Celebi info.

So, the Pichu event started yesterday in Japan. I can tell you, the thing was a *itch for me to get. Who else had any luck getting one?
