(Explaining D20: In Pokemon D20, the Trainer can actually be killed and they also gain experience, which increases their stats and also determines their chances at capturing a Pokemon. Also, Pokemon that use attacks against opposing types do triple damage as opposed to just increased damage. It evens out though, when you actually see how damage is calculated in the game.)

137, 140 and 141 were some of my n00bish mistakes on Yellow. 144 is not an actual example, but pretty much what I used to do (teach random TMs to my Pok?mon to make room in my pack).
