I want to make a standard Pokemon game that really tries to go in-depth with Movepools:

-All Moves that a Pokemon has ever been able to get will return, including Event moves(Mimic Wobbufett, Synthesis Paras, Submission Totodile, ect), GSC exclusive Eggmoves(Water Gun Phanphy, Pay Day Hoppip), all of the old TM/HM moves (with Reflect getting back it's mass compatability it had in the RGBY days), and old Level-up moves(Slash Pinsir, Thrash Jynx, Stomp Tauros), not to mention "Paradox Moves (Moves that a previously fully evolved Pokemon got in past gen, but not later gens and then got new Evolutions/Preevolutions. Examples include Curse Mamoswine, Sweet Scent Happiny, Teleport Magnezone, Pursuit Electavire, and Moonlight Weavile)

-Poison now super-effective against Water and Fighting

-A Single New Attack: a Physical Variation of Hidden Power

-All out of battle effects from previous gens will be back (Whirlpool, Headbutt, Dive, ect.)

-All non-keys items are available (EX: Exp. All, now a Key Item that can be turned on and Off, Gold/Silver Leaf, Slowpoketail, Ragecandybar, Pink Bow, Polkadot Bow, ect)

-All Decorations from Previous Gens (GSC, RSE, DP)

-Day/Night System, "first national bank of Mom", and all Game Corner games appear in it.

-Update patches when new moves become available to Pokemon.

As you can see, I want quite alot.

I would like people to coem up with a story, and definatley want spriters/ programers, as have no experience with making games. DX

    Knowing my luck, this will probably never happen. >.<;

Well, that was a lot about movepools!
I wouldn't focus your hack mainly on them though, as most people hardly care what moves pokemon learn in a hack (besides starter)

    But good luck!

I admit it, I'm OBSESSED with movepools. I miss being able to teach Curse to Forretress and Headbutt to Dunsparce without Breeding. I want to see the obscure event moves, like Ancientpower Venusaur, Zap Cannon Blastoise, and Growth Eevee in action using 4th gen mechanics.

ok...but you got to think that most people who play this game aren't going to focus much on movepools...

But why not, no one else has done it :)
Just as long as the rest of the hack is good.

Question: since when could blastoise learn zapcannon?

Question: since when could blastoise learn zapcannon?

It was an event move from the NYPC back in GSC.

Bulbasaur got Ancientpower, Charmander got Crunch(Gets it bakc in 4th gen via breeding), and Squirtle got Zap Cannon.

Chikorita got Petal Dance, Cyndaquil got Double-Edge(Got it back from FR/LG Move Tutor), and Totodile got Submission

Dunsparce got Horn Drill and Fury Attack, Wobbuffet got Mimic, Delibird got Spikes and Pay Day, Sudowoodo and Forretress got Substitute (Got it back from FR/LG Move Tutor), Onix got Sharpen, Magikarp got Bubble and Reversal, ect.

Most of the basic Pokemon got NYPC moves. I've got a document that lists all of them (I did extensive research on it just out of curiosity)

Wow, some of those actually sound useful (magicarp learning bubble will make it a lot easier to evolve it!)

I never knew, charmander with crunch is cool too!

Did you go to any of these events?

No, but I did intessive reseach looking through RGBY/GSC battle simulaters and now-dead sites. I've also got the RSE Event Moves listed, along with RGB Only Level-up moves (Pikachu could learn swift naturally until Yellow and originally Could NOT learn Thunderbolt via level-up until Yellow).

I REALLY miss the Curse TM. All TM-learning Pokemon Could get it back in GSC. A Gyro Ball Steelix would be able to use it quite well, IMO.

You know, this seems like a good idea now, these extra moves that they can learn rock.
A curse TM? Which game was there one?

Well, i can say that i like this hack more than i did before, since now i see that these moves that the pokemon could learn are good.

Just wondering, can you do anything else besides changing their moves? I mean, since its a hack, you need a story and events and stuff.
Do you have that planned at all?

Or are you starting with this and working off of it.
