Pokemon Makes Me Saddened Now

I was playing some of Black 2 the other day and forgot how much fun the Pokemon World Tournament can be.

I really thought that the Pokemon World Tournament and the Battle Frontier was some of the best content that the main series games ever produced. And with the omission of the Frontier in both BDSP and ORAS, it makes me sad that we'll probably never see stuff like it EVER again. :/ .

The PWT and Battle Frontier were both amazing, agreed there. Easily one of the best features of games they were from. I understand the worry about us maybe not getting anything like that again but fingers crossed we do, I know the game staff like to make the games easier nowadays but it hasn't always been the case - Cynthia in BDSP is very hard for example, fully EV trained and very good movesets and all. She beat me yesterday so I have to go back to grind lmao. There's still a chance they may opt to include tougher features like this down the line. Plus we've been getting some experimental games like Legends too, so there could be big challenge through those titles too that we don't know about yet. Let's hope. :')

both were very challenging to me as I have no competitive background, but it was a fun feature nonetheless! my favorite was the Battle Factory :)

I don't think I've ever seriously done either.

I vaguely remember doing some Battle Frontier stuff in Emerald but I barely knew what I was doing back then - I didn't really speak English that well and was playing in an emulator, so it took me a surprising amount of time to figure out some stuff like "Start opens the menu".

Lately Pokemon games have started to drift towards the experimental again, little by little, so it wouldn't surprise me if they eventually came back. I do think it'll probably be a while until that happens, though.
