Hi I am Dark Dragonite
I am making a pokemon game
called pokemon missingo version

this game will include

-new maps
-new starters
-new gym leaders
-pokemon from kanto,johto, and hoen
-the legendary pokemon you can catch are MISSINGO and MEW

STORY:

Pokemon Missingo version
it has been 8 years since you saw your father and all your mom ever told you about him is that he is the boss of a evil organization called team rocket.

Team rocket is after the same pokemon as you and end up meeting your father.
You start out as a graduate of the Pokemon Academy. (note that you are only twelve)
And you are about to leave the academy when profesor OAK comes and tells you that you need a pokemon.
You go on a journy to battle gym leaders and catch the legendary pokemon.
Pokemon are starting to go extinct and you need to go and find Missingo and Mew and breed them so you can save the pokemon race

this is all i have so far if you know how to script
talking, trainer battles, and give pokemon scripts can you leave like a comment telling how to make those scripts

I guess this could do with some work:

Missingno is a glitch, no legendary. It would make no sense to breed a missingno and mew to make Pokemon not go extinct. Think about it, you won't want to have babies with something who's mere existance is a mistake.

There is nothing new about your features, every Pokemon game has all these features.

Now what abou the story makes it different. You are a a boy and you get your starter you go on a journey for no apperant reason and you find your dad who somehow is also interested in a mew and a missingno because he just dreamt that he could need them later in the day.

I suggest you first learn what you want to, we have an awesome tutorial section and a questions thread which maybe of your use. Apart from that, read about the other games and the comments. You'd realise the content, the matter everybody is planning to put in.

My question is why you're a graduate of the Pokémon Academy, but don't already have a pokémon (even a Rattata) of your own.

You don't need to battle gym leaders when you graduate the academy. you can go straight to the league. in addition, oak has no reason to change starters now.

Santa is right. What you might wanna do is develop a side story on how your character as well as Missingo became the way they are. For instance Missingo could've been a pokemon with no definite shape and thanks to contact with mew it gained one.

The Pokemon Academy originally created in the show was a place of learning, and nothing but that. All students there used Pokemon owned by the academy, in both training, fights, and testing. It'd actually be pretty normal for a graduate to not own a pokemon of their own.

Also it would be a good idea to actually have your character go through part of the game in the academy. It'd make more sense to your story, and it'd be a new twist to an old idea.
