Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Land and the Sea

Flyn was getting tired of waiting so he decided to go and speak to some of the other members. " Who to speak to who speak to." Flyn thought as he stared at the ceiling. " Lets see there is a sandshrew he looks cool. Flyn said." A vibrava. He seems ok-hey wait a minuet, a vibrava!" He said quietly. "It just wouldn't be an adventure without there someone who's has already evolved before me." He thought to himself.
 
Astra spotted a Trapinch. Whoa, a younger speciment! Might be a family member! But then... he should have already known about him. And he didn't so...

Well, Astra had had enough. He decided to move away from the crowd, exploring the other rooms. He came to another big room, with a large table in the middle and some fruits stacked in a corner. It was really cozy, but a little dark. It was probably the dining hall. He made sure nobody was looking, and then took a berry from the stack of fruits. Mmmm... delicious.
 
After the ice breaking and roll calling, Togekiss had appeared in the doorway of the guild hall. Ambipom bounced over and hopped next to him, whispering in his ear, "They're all here. You may address them now sir." He replied with a nod and glided over to the crowd of Explorers. He cleared his throat and the whole hall fell silent.

"Good morning all Explorers. Today's your first day. No doubt that you'll be facing hardships and difficulties along this career line, but remember nothing is impossible. Nothing is impossible.

I'm sure you've heard about the recent calamity regarding Groudon and Kyogre? The world has been chaotic with natural disasters caused from the warring between those 2 legendaries. The planet has been unbalanced and it breaks my heart to see young Pokemon injured or worse, killed unnecessarily. Therefore, we come in. We Explorers are tasked to put an end to this silly feud and end this situation. Preventing anymore of this times of sorrow and chaos is our main priority. So let us help all those in need!" He paused for a while to look clearly at the audience.

"Now I'll be assigning all of your teams your very first mission. How well you do it will be assessed and it all depends on whether you will graduated from this guild with honorable achievements and become an Explorer with an elite rank. For a quick introduction, there are many ranks that classify as a rescue team. You start of as a Normal Rank team and can be promoted to Bronze, Silver, Gold, Onyx, Garnet, Topaz, Ruby, Sapphire, Platinum, Star and lastly, the most highest rank of all- Diamond Rank. There has never been a team attaining Diamond Rank. This rank was created by Dialga and only Dialga can give that rank.

Now, Ambipom would show you to the Job Bulletin Board and Outlaw Notice Board. You are to do those on the Job Bulletin Board for now. That is all." He signaled for Ambipom to take over and left the hall as swiftly as he came in.

"Okay, dearies. Here is the Job Bulletin Board and that's the Outlaw one. As Togekiss said, focus on the ones here for the meantime as they are much easier than those there."

Airforce took a quick look at the bulletin list and then looked at the other team members. Airforce began to figure out who would be the ideal partner for him. Since he was a Pidgey, a Flying Pokemon so maybe the best one would be a ground pokemon. He looked at the others and concluded that there was three other ground pokemon in this room. A Sandshrew, a Vibrava and a Trapinch. He laid his head sidelong as he inspected the ground pokemons.
 
(OOC:Wait, so am I still with MzMingle? We haven't gotten a reply in a while...)

Largo's ears zeroed in on the ranks, noting how wide-spread and diverse classifications that he had just heard. As he spent some time thinking about how long it might ever take to reach even Topaz, he noted a Pidgey was making some eye contact with him. The pidgey was also looking at the Trapinch and Vibrava near him, probably hoping to start a conversation. As they were shown to the boards, he saw that the Outlaw board was... missing a few pieces. Heeding the advice of Togekiss, he instead directed his attention to the Job Board. Eyeing the rewards, he was unhappy that the white gummy was a D ranked Job, as one could easily deduct that that would be much harder than a job for some money. News for who his partner was had not reached him, and Largo shuffled nervously while the others commuted.
 
Astra came back into the big chamber and noticed Togekiss and Ambipom were talking about the bulletin boards. After hearing them out, he walked through the group of pokémon to take a look at the jobs. Hm. Some pokémon had gotten lost. Hmpf. If that had been him, he'd just fly high up with his wings and take a good look around to see where he was. But... some pokémon had lost their friends. That sounded awful.

Vibrava poked one of the job posters with his hand. A Hoppip was lost in the Little Woods. It was signed by Skiploom. That sounded easy enough, and Astra would much rather go into a forest than down into a Pebble Cave...

The Vibrava took down the job offer and decided to try to complete it. Hm. Maybe he shouldn't go alone. He should probably ask someone to help him with this job and split the reward with him. He had been taught to be strong on his own, but he had never really liked that philosophy.

After the announcement togekiss made Flyn decided to go and examine the bulletin boards and outlaw list. All of them looked like good challenges but there was one particular mission that caught his attention. "It appears an oddish has gone missing." Flyn said with a worried look on his face. "I hope it isn't-nah it couldn't be."He said with a relived look on his face.

"Well I guess I'll go rescue oddish." He said. "But wait I need a partner."Flyn looked around the room for a suitable partner. "Well since I'm a ground type a flying type partner would be the logical choice." Flyn scanned the room seeing if he could find a partner.
 
Fiona sighed looking around at the others Who can I ask she thought before spotting a Vibrava and going over to him "Hi my names Fiona. Could I join you on a mission?" she asked nicely still wondering who her teammate was.
 
Airforce was scanning around in the room after a partner when he noticed that the Vibrava already were talking to someone else and that left behind either the Tranpinch or the Sandshrew to be his partner. Since the Sandshrew seemed busy with some other pokemon so did he decided in his mind that the Trapinch would make an excellent team mate in terms of weaknesses and advantages.

He looked for the Trapinch who were staring at the bulletin board and flew over and landed beside him. "Any missions that seems interesting and challanging enough?" Airforce asked the Trapinch. Airforce was often not the guy who would choose the easiest of the easiest mission. He rather more going for the more challenging mission if there isn't a good reason or reward for it.
 
The tiny, happy looking Azurill bounced forth to Astra and introduced herself. She boldly asked to go with him on a mission. Astra raised an eyebrow and looked her over. A tiny creature, seemingly rather bobbing on its tail than standing on its super tiny legs. Hm... could it really be a good partner? Well, he was pretty strong himself; he mostly needed someone to be able to run for help in case anything happened. And, who knows, maybe this blue pokémon was stronger than she looked? Looks can be deceiving.

"Sure, you may," he therefore said, friendly. "I've chosen the mission with Hoppip. Skiploom seems to be worried that Hoppip has gotten lost in Little Woods. And, well, I am Astra. I come from a desert some ways away. What's your name, little one?"

As they spoke, Astra began walking towards the exit, nodding the other pokémon as a way of saying "see you guys later".
 
"Hi, I'm Rose. It's very nice to meet you." the Vulpix replied shaking paws with Spark, "You'll have to forgive me for intruding earlier. I haven't really spoken to anyone in weeks." Her eyes met his again, and she immediately turned away. rose became even redder than usual. Now, Spark was sure she was blushing.

A Togekiss appeared near the guild's doorway. Ambipom walked towards the Togekiss and whispered something to her. She nodded and cleared his throat. The whole guild suddenly fell silent. Togekiss announced something about the feud between Groudon and Kyogre, them stopping it, natural disasters, first missions, and ranks. Spark caught the words "the highest rank known today is the Diamond Rank, and can only be bestowed to anyone by Dialga." he was determined to reach that rank no matter what.

Ambipom led the whole group to a board that had things posted on it. As Spark took a closer look, he saw that the things posted onto them were jobs. He swam through the crowd to get closer to the board. He pointed each one with his paws, looking for the perfect job for him. His heart skipped a beat when he saw one job that he thought was fit for him. It seems like a Pichu needs rescuing in Pebble Cave. He made no more hesitations to rip the paper off of the board and ran away from the crowd. He took a quick look around, looking for a particular Pokémon that he wanted to go with him for this job.

He approached Rose with no sign of shyness and took her by the paws. "I want you to join me on this job I have picked." he told her while holding her paws.
 
Fiona listened to Astra introduce himself. "I'm Fiona and I'm from a small ocean side city thats pretty far from here" she said bouncing alongside him. "I know I may not look it but I'm not weak like most people think by looking at me. You also choose the exact mission I was going to pick. Seems like great minds think alike"
 
"Yeah i see a few interesting ones." Replied Flyn. "It appears as if an oddish is lost and I was thinking that perhaps I would go and resuc-Oh hello there." Said a surprised Flyn. "I was just rambling on about how I was gonna rescue a-hey wait a minuete again.Your a flying type aren't you?!" Said Flyn. Oh thank goodness! I was thinking about forming a team with a flying type since we could both cover each others weaknesses." Flyn stood there awaiting a response from the pidgey.
 
"Rescue the Oddish, isn't that in the Pebble Cave? Sounds challenging enough." Airforce said with his everyday-serious expression. "Sounds like a good idea, I agree that a flying type like me and a ground type like you could make a good team because all weaknesses we have can we conquer together - except ice but anyway - I guess it's settle then." Pidgey said an took the bulletin of the mission. "By the way, the name's Airforce. Nice to make you aqcuaintance" Airforce said and folded out his wings in a hello gesture.

(OCC: Airforce can seem a bit rude sometimes :P See him like a war general, serious and hard but would never let a comrade down :))
 
Rose didnt really listen to Togekiss' announcement. She was focused on what had just happened. She had just meet the pokemon of her dreams. She sat pondering these things ignoring all of the other bustle. She saw Spark coming towards her and turned to meet him. He took her paws, looked deep into her eyes and said very confidently, "I want you to join me on this job I have picked." "I'd love to go." Rose replied. She stood on her hind legs, kissed Spark on the cheek. She giggled returning to all fours and jogged over to Togekiss to ask about when they could leave.
 
"And my name is Flyn nice to meet you too." Said Flyn. "We'll make a great team I can just tell." Replied the happy trapinch. "Whenever your ready to go just tell me." He said to Airforce. After that brief little introduction Flyn went off on his own to go look around the a guild a bit more.
 
"...Erm...Largo?.hi." said Shadow.
After she said hi, she fell straight asleep, she was so tired.

(OOC: Sorry, you just hadn't posted anything in a long while so I got kind of sidetracked. ^^')
Taken aback by the sudden introduction, Largo was greeted by an Eevee with an exceptionally long tail. Just as quickly as she had said hi, she fell on the ground flat. Instinctively as he dropped down to help her, he ripped off the last Job on the board, being the one to rescue a Lotad. Only just checking to see if she was alive, he heard soft, heavy breathing.
She was asleep damnit.
Resisting the strong urge to slap her awake after making him so worried, he instead tried to shake her awake while trying to get someone's attention in case it was more serious than just fatigue. Tucking the mission in his scarf, he waved his hand worriedly in the air to get someone to help.
 
Airforce had nothing really to do. He was expecting that the guild leader would say something before they all should leave so he was wander around nearby in the guild and looked around. This area was pretty nice, even if he wouldn't admit it due to his hard personality. He took another look at the rest of the new guild recruits and placed some personalties of the others in his memory if he would need it in the future.
 
*loudspeaker crackles..*

Attention, all Explorers. This is your guild master Togekiss speaking. Testing...is this working? Ok. For all those newcomers, here are some simple FAQs.

Q1. Do I need to wait for Togekiss' approval before embarking on a mission?
A1. No, you can leave at any time and I do not need to say so.

Q2. My friend or I am not feeling well? What do I do?
A2. Hurry to the sick bay where Chansey will take care of you till you're well.

Q3. After completing a mission, what do I do then?
A3. Once you've collected your reward from your client, you could always do another mission and became stronger.
