((OOC: I decided to assume that pikapip will give permission to The Bringer! to use pikapip's tickle post instead of his own. In replying in this way, I am taking it that the Vine Whip will be left in. However, if it isn't, merely ignore all the mentions of it, and I shall edit them out later. ^_^))

As Rani had hoped, Kreep was more than happy to go outside and begin fighting. They walked rather quickly out into the open, and Rani took a moment to begin to take in a deep breath and get herself into a fighting stance. Unfortunately, Kreep didn't do the same, and suddenly his leg hit the side of her jaw with his full force behind it. It may have been a Grass Type move, but the suddeness and the power of it took her totally by surprise, and as she wasn't yet balanced properly, it knocked her to the ground. Her face was stinging at the point of impact, and Rani flinched as Kreep suddenly leapt on top of her.
"Wellhs wellsh wellsh ShLook shwhath swe hath here. Ranihs Ish havesh nso qualmsh aboutsh shwhat I'msh aboutsh tos dohsh," Kreep said in a sinister voice, wrapping his roots around her body, pinning her to the ground. From the way Kreep was flexing his leaves, Rani was certain that he was going to punch her in the face. She flinched, but no punch came - in fact, what came next shocked her much more than that - Kreep began to lower his leaves towards her. "Howhsh ahbouhtsh ah Ticklesh?" he asked. Suddenly, Rani felt Kreep's roots brushing on her sides, wriggling quickly against her fur.
Rani had never been tickled before; her parents had never really been the tickling types, so this was a strange new sensation. It wasn't exactly painful, but it was very uncomfortable, and it forced Rani to do something she hadn't done for years - start exploding with raucous laughter. There was nothing funny about the situation; she had allowed herself to be caught off guard, the side of her jaw was still stinging with an almost intolerable pain, and now Kreep had her completely powerless, but this tickling was forcing her to laugh. "AhAhAhAhaHaHaHaHaHa! Stah-ha Stah-hap Kreheeeep!" Kreep paused for a moment, and through her laughter she opened her eyes to find him grinning madly at her.
"Sho she shpeaksh!" he exclaimed triumphantly "Wellsh letsh shee how she Likesh thish!"

Now his leaves were reaching towards her, and they brushed gently against her sides, beginning to wriggle slightly. Rani squirmed under his touch, held in place by his vines, her laughter pouring out once again. His leaves found their way into the thick fur under her chin and in the sensitive area between her back and sides and her shoulder blades, then behind her ears and then to her sides again.
"P-Ple-heeaase, Kraheeeep- Ahaha- Sta-hap!" she yelled again, her voice beginning to turn high and sqeaky, as well as hoarse with the amount of laughter she gave out.

"Do you know any rooms or whatsoever that can be used as a training area? I don't come here often." Mack had asked Max, but before she could answer, Mack heard something like a streak of fire from outside. "I suppose that's someone training." Mack thought. Just seconds after that, an electric sound effect. "Likewise that." Mack again thought. "Gee, I hope it's not getting to rough out there."
Getting back to the subject, it returned attention to Max. "Where was I? Oh yeah, a place for training."

Shierk spun around but was instantly disapointed. He had missed. There was a small circle of burnt grass a few feet in front of Rokan. Shierk smirked and began charging up a new Thundershock, but he lost concentration when he heard Rani scream. His Thundershock went far over Rokan and hit the tree, burning a large mark into it. He turned to Rokan and yelled "I'll be right back!"

Shierk headed back to where Kreep and Rani were fighting and stood with his mouth gaping. Kreep was standing over Rani, Tickling her. It wasn't Rani's screaming that sent him running towards him however, it was the Grin on Kreep's face. At once, The fire within Shierk started burning again. He ran towards Kreep with his thundershock charging between his prongs. With a new attack in mind, Shierk ran faster and faster, quick attacking Kreep directly with his charged prongs. Shierk Leered at him, and performed yet another quick attack, Knocking him farther away. Shierk bared his fangs at Kreep and said between his teeth, "Back off." Shierk sent a few more sparks between his prongs, that was how you could tell he was pissed. Elekids only do that when they are extremely angry.

Shierk stepped over Rani and grinned mischeviously. "Hey Rani you okay? Shierk leaned in closer to her face. Rani, the one rule of being an officer is never let yourself get caught. This is the second time now." Shierk smiled again hoping she caught on. "So now I give you two options. You can learn Ember really fast, or I can tickle you till your sides split. Your choice." Shierk lowered his arms down to her stomach and began tickling her rapidly, a little bit of his quick attack speeding it up. "I hope you're a fast learner Rani!" Shierk said as he began tickling her faster and faster, really starting to enjoy this.

Maxwell grinned happily when the Magnemite, who introduced itself as Mack, hovered towards her and asked to be her sparring partner "Yeah, that'd be awesome Mack! I wouldn't mind you being my partner and I'm Maxwell, but call me Max for short" she introduced with a wink. "I'll try not to hurt you much when we spar, but I won't make any promises, sensei's told me many times that when I really get into training I sometimes forget my own strength. . ." she trailed off chuckling weakly while rubbing the back of her head in a sheepish manner "that's usually when I wind up accidentally destroying something." Max hummed thoughtfully at Mack's question and scratched at her cheek "Ahh, I'm just as lost as you are dude" Max shrugged at a loss on what to do "I don't know much about this place myself, but maybe we could go join one of the other's in their sparring room or look for one or something."

Rani hardly registered the zap of the ThunderShock as it hit the tree, but she did feel it when Kreep was violently pushed away. She could hardly breathe from laughing so much, and her once beautifully groomed fur was ruffled and knotted. Her face was streaked with the tears of pain and laughter that ran uncontrollably from her eyes.
Once she was free from Kreep's tickling, she began to take in huge gulps of air, refilling her lungs after their great ordeal, and trying to slow the heart which she was sure had never beat as fast. She wanted to get up, to see what on earth was happening with Shierk and Kreep, but she was simply too exhausted. She couldn't move or breathe, let alone stand and walk. After a few moments, a figure came and stood over her again, but this time it was Shierk. He grinned down at her, and she was going to thank him, but she was still too busy trying desperately to get her breath back.
"Hey Rani you okay?" he asked. She really should have noticed the mischievousness in his voice. He leant down, and his face was dangerously close to hers. She could see the definitions of his scar and she could feel his warm breath, and her calming heart began to speed up again. "Rani, the one rule of being an officer is never let yourself get caught." Of course, she already knew that. She had spent her entire career making sure people didn't get caught, including herself. "This is the second time now." The second time? Only Kreep had trapped her, and only once-
Then he smiled again, and this time she caught the mischievous glint in his eye. She breathlessly cursed herself for falling for his trick. "So now I give you two options," Shierk said matter-of-factly. "You can learn Ember really fast, or I can tickle you till your sides split. Your choice."
He reached out his arms and, like Kreep before him, began to tickle Rani into submission. She immediately started laughing again, yelling out in almost agony for the torture to end. This was not the way to learn moves! If she didn't have enough experience, she simply couldn't perform the move! She would simply pass out from lack of Oxygen, then he'd be sorry. They'd all... Be sorry...
Rani's breath was becoming ragged, her voice hoarse as she begged for him to stop among her tears and laughter. It hurt to breathe; her throat was simply burning... Burning... Burning! Her throat was literally on fire as she used the last of her energy to launch her first ever Ember attack. It was weak, hardly touching the Elekid in front of her before disintegrating into ashes that fell upon the now ragged cream fluff that went from her chin to her belly. She didn't want to hurt Shierk; just to show him that she'd learned the move, so that he would stop this attack on her poor body. The world was really spinning now, and as Rani once again rolled over onto her side to escape Shierk's speedy digits, she grabbed his hand, determined to throw him off balance and bring him down with her. A Growlithe shouldn't be so publicly humiliated; trapped and powerless to resist the attack. It was below her dignity, and she was going to use her last few moments of consciousness to make sure she wasn't the only one to fall in this attack, even if he only fell over, not unconscious...
After taking one last, long breath of air, Rani succumbed to the darkness as she fainted.

Rokan felt intensely powerful after her Disable hit. With a jolt she realized Shierk had used Thundershock, a move she didn't know he was capable of. Perhaps he had just learned it? Her own move pool was sorely limited; she had already exhausted all of her options. She could just continue firing Disable and Ember at him, she supposed, but that was no way to win. She needed to be more varied than that. But she certainly didn't feel as though she was learning any new moves. Who knew how long it would take before she could harness her more powerful pyro abilities?

It seemed she would not have to worry about that. Just as she'd opened her mouth to unleash another Ember she heard Rani scream. She thought nothing of it. They were sparring, and likely a move had surprised her, or the like. But Shierk had an entirely different approach. He excused himself and rushed to the Growlithe's aid. Rokan followed at a measured pace, halfway between amused and exasperated. Really, was it all that important?

It was to him, she reasoned. Though she wasn't sure why, he had instantly been attracted to Rani. The thought made her smile faintly. Shierk seemed so sweet. Adorable, really. The thing was, these thoughts did not lead her in a romantic direction. Already she had a desire to protect him, almost like an older sister. She supposed it made sense. Growing up, Samrin had been her younger brother figure, though they were the same age, give or take a few minutes. She'd always tried to protect him, to lick his wounds, and to get rid of anyone stupid enough to make him upset. Her nurturing instinct was extending toward Shierk. That wasn't a bad thing, she supposed. He seemed like he could use someone to care about him.

When she saw what had happend she rolled her eyes and trotted up to Kreep, who she helped to his feet. "Are you alright, mate?" she asked, glancing over him to make sure there were no serious wounds. "Anything I can do for you?"

Shierk backed off as soon as the Ember left Rani's mouth. Sure it was a weak flame, but now that she knew how to do it, it should come quickly. He noticed Rokan helping Kreep up. Shierk was still furiously angry with him, even though he had just done the same thing to Rani. But at least Shierk had done it to help Rani. Kreep had done it for fun. Still, he felt a little guilty. He may have helped her in one way, but he had severely hurt her in another. Shierk turned to Rokan and said, "Watch that one will you? I dont need him interfering."

Shierk walked over to Rani, crouched next to her and slowly picked her up. "Oof. Jeez Rani, Your heavy." Shierk slowly made his way back to the building, and he found what he was looking for, an infirmary. Unfortunately, no one was on duty and Shierk sighed as he began looking through drawers and cabinents. "Darn it...They don't have any here!" Shierk looked back at Rani with a sympathetic look on his face. "Wait here...don't leave. It's not as if she can hear me anyway." Shierk rifled through the drawers one more time and found an Oran berry. He placed it near her head and gave her a look over to make sure she wasn't too injured. Her breath was labored and she seemed drained of energy. Shierk left the room and began running.

"Huff Huff Jeez, my house is way too far away from the station. I hope Rani's okay." Shierk was running down Wigglytuff drive at a high speed. He had used quick attack a few times, but it had severley drained him and it reduced his speed to a slow jog. He finally came upon his house. Plain with nothing special or decorative about it. He wondered what Rani's house was like and he imagined a large manor with expensive furniture, upholstery, and paintings of Great, Great, Great, Great ancestors that founded the family. Shierk shook his head again. They were way too different.

Shierk plugged his prongs into a specific slot in the wall and the doors opened. He ran inside, headed to his bathroom, and almost ripped his medicine drawer off. He dug through, found what he was looking for, and ran outside slamming the Auto-locking doors behind him. He continued to run, pumping his tiny arms as he rushed to the station, the small item clutched within his claws.

Shierk slammed the doors behind him as he rushed into the station. He made one wrong turn, two, three and finally four before he found himself back at the entrance. He took his time and eventually found himself back in the infirmary. He rushed over to Rani, and he gently placed the small item in the Growlithe's mouth. He sat there next to her and waited, for his item to take effect.

(OOC: Whew. done.)

Kreep continued to tickle Rani, feeling his drool slowly fall from his mouth. He wanted to stop it somehow, but was too busy tickling the laughing fire type. This was actually pretty fun. Usually, Kreep was only really that big on thwomping people on the head. Rani put up a feeble resistance, weakly raising her paw to try and block the tickle onslaught. Of course, she was too out of breath to actually do anything. Eventually, Kreep decided that he would try and get a bit closer. Raising up his head, he got ready to plundge down onto her paw with a leech life, his mouth already beginning to salivate even more. However, just as he was beginning to make an exited slurping sound and move in for the draining attack, Kreep was struck from out of nowhere in the side. Globs of spit flew out of his mouth from the impact, and Kreep screeched in surprise. There, standing over him, was Shierk. The dazed bellsprout could only lay there with a bland expression on his face as the elekid muttered something to him. Kreep could tell Shierk was angry, but he was too out of it to do anything. Eventually the blue sky above him started to fade into gray, and Kreep felt himself sinking... sinking right into the earth... with the plants...

"...alright, mate? Anything I can do for you?" Kreep awoke to see Rokan looking down on him, a half concerned half amused look on her face. The bellsprout just lay there and blinked a couple times. He remembered that he had been having fun... Obviously he must have just dozed off. Yeah, he had been tickling Rani, seeing as he didn't want to actually hurt her. But now, for some reason, Kreep felt a churning rage in his stomache. He did want to hurt her. But... why? Remembering the form of Rani, she was obviously a very attractive growlithe. An attractive growlithe that Kreep really didn't want to know.

"Ughsh... For shome reathon I jufsht feelth terrishablesh. Shomething happenshed, rightht?" Kreep asked, still not able to distinguish his feelings from his surroundings. The air itself seemed to be thick with anger. Kreep let his roots sink deep into the soil, which slightly calmed the bellsprout stood up, now looking down on Rokan. "Shanfks, Throkanshf... Er, I mean... Ro... Rokanshf. I'mf shtill a li-" suddenly, Kreep broke off completely from what he had been saying. That feeling of anger. The pulsing, quaking inside his head. Shierk! Him... and, Rani... it was their fault! Kreep still wasn't sure what was their fault, but he would certainly... do something! Yeah, he would do something all right... "Throkanshf! Shwerefth did Shierf go?!" Kreep roared, placing both of his leaves on Rokan's shoulders. A small drip of his saliva fell from Kreep's mouth as he stood there, shaking with anticipation. He was angry... about... something... right?

As Mack left the room with Max to find a room to spar, Mack heard a loud shouting and hollering from outside. This time it was sure it wasn't in its head. "Max, what's that noise?" Listening again carefully he was sure he was hearing a hoarse laughter. "It sounds like somebody's either having a great time or something is out of control." Mack had a bad, bad feeling about this. "We'd best check it out."
Both Mack and Max both made haste to the battle area. It took them a while to find it, they yet didn't know where it was. After finally finding it, they saw Rokan was helping Kreep recuperate.
"We unfortunately found the battle area, Max."

It felt as though she were walking on broken glass. Rokan had never been in the middle of a romantic dispute before, perhaps because she'd never actually fallen for anyone herself. She didn't like the thought of what could happen if Kreep figured out what Shierk had done, especially if he realized Shierk had not ceased all tickling, but instead continued on his own.

That was when Rokan realized the entire situation was ridiculous.

She needed a distraction for Kreep, and herself. She could feel him piecing the situation together, though it took an almost comical amount of time.

"Maybe we could spar until our partners are recuperated?" she suggested. "I know I have the type advantage, but I'll try to be gentle." She flicked her tails at him and backed up, returning to the familiar battle stance.

"Come and get me, I'm sure you could at least tickle me." The taunt wasn't exactly necessary and under normal circumstances she wouldn't use it. But she hoped it would distract him from Shierk, maybe make him angry at her instead. She knew she could take him if she needed to, so it was a no danger situation.

...but what did Bellsprout learn? She'd never taken the time to wonder about that, and she didn't now, assuming it was just Vine Whip and Razor Leaf and the like.

Everything was a blur. Her head was throbbing, her heart was pounding and her body was aching all over. The sharp taste of whatever it was that now lay on her tongue was beginning to rouse Rani, and though she didn't know why, she made to swallow it. As it was, her jaw was aching more than her sides, and it hurt to swallow. Still, she managed it, forcing the item down her throat. A few moments later, she felt her energy returning, and took in a large gulp of air. Immediately, she coughed violently and smoke hazed from her mouth, most likely the smoke she hadn't been able to fully exhale after using Ember. Groggily, she opened her eyes, which still had not yet dried after the river of tears had stopped flowing. They probably looked awful; bloodshot and puffy, much like the fur on the rest of her body was probably matted and filthy. She had no sense of time; how long had she been unconscious? She blinked; where was she, anyway? Indoors, yes. The artificial light stung her blurry eyes. It smelt clean. Unnaturally so. Was this the station's infirmary?

Rani then felt a presence behind her, and slowly rolled over to see a familiar scarred Pokemon looking at her. She scowled at Shierk, and would have shouted at him but for the pain that racked her body still. The memories of the earlier 'battle' appeared vividly before her, and it was almost as if she could see Kreep's maniacal grin and Shierk's mischievous smile, still feel their breath on her face, and still feel the vines, leaves and fingers scrambling over her fur. She remembered the looks of pleasure and enjoyment on their faces as she squirmed, trying to escape the tickling. The very idea of being so helpless before the two Pokemon made a chill go down her spine and her head spin. She felt sick.

"Shierk..." she growled angrily as she questioned him, "Why? Why did you do that?" Her voice was laced with resentment, but underneath that her vulnerability and confusion was apparent.

((Pikakip allowed me to bunny Haley to the shooting range in case anyone's concerned about the post.))

"....Uh.. Alexei?" It seemed as if he wasn't going to reply. He seemed to focused on practicing to reply. Time seemed short, And everybody else seemed to be sparing already. So as Len and Haley went out the door, Len said to Alexei "Well... We're going to go down to the target range. If you want to join us at any time, Feel free".

As the duo walked down to look for the target range, Len heard alot of ruckus outside of the building. Curious, he took a peak outside of the window to check what was going on. The first thing he saw was that Elekid bringing a reviver seed to Rani who seemed to have fainted for whatever reason. That weird Bellsprout also seemed to have been knocked out and was getting help from Rokan. Unfortunately Len missed the whole scene that happened outside and really had no knowledge on just how she fainted. Instead he said to himself "Geez, I thought we were just sparring, Not killing eachother." Len thought he would just go outside and ask what happened but just continued onto the target range. It was none of his concern anyways. Would be nice to ask for everybody else's names but Len thought he would just save it for when they set off to Poketraz island.

After awhile, Len and Haley found the target range. The targets inside ranged from basic Circle shaped targets, To a couple of other more unique shaped ones. "Well here we are" Len said to haley. "I'd say that the first thing we should do is get you to learn how to use water gun." Len was completely prepared to help her out. It's just water gun, How hard should it be to teach?

"Unfortunately" she mumbled in response before glancing at where the Bellsprout and Vulpix were at, the salivating plant look dazed and angry "I wonder what happened. . . Is that guy okay?" Max asked Mack, while pointing to Kreep "Maybe we should go see" and before Mack could respond, Max had cupped her hands over her mouth and shouted across the field "Hey Bellsprout! You alright!?" she lowered her hands and looked curiously at Mack, her voice lowering to a whisper, despite the fact that Rokan and Kreep were out of range to hear, well maybe Kreep, she wasn't too sure about the Vulpix "Do you know what's going on between those three? Are they in some kind of love triangle?" Max folded her arms and frowned "The last thing we need is for a lovers quarrel to start. . . it wouldn't do good for the team."

At first, it looked like Alexei wasn't going to respond. He was absorbed - bonded by his devotion to his military lifestyle, it seemed - in his practices and movements, until finally, he paused, finishing a form of a combination of movements that seemed to be drawn from varying styles of close-quarters combat. His mind was closed for a moment, and he did eventually turn to face Len and Haley.

"...Yeah, I'm listening. Sorry about that."

"...Well, we're going to go down to the target range. If you want to join us at any time, feel free."

"That sounds like a plan to me," Alexei decided, standing upright from a one-leg-squat-one-leg-out kind of position, as if he were prepared to pounce on his imaginary opponent. There was silence as the Buizel nodded in Haley's direction, then smiled in Len's direction. It was one of those confident, calm smiles, letting them both know that he was in his element at a target range... God knows he'd been to one a billion times before.

However, after finding the range (finally), the Buizel was admittedly a little off-put by the non-standard targets, the nonconventional ammunition being distributed for those using ballistic or other kinds of weapons, and most offsetting of all, the length of the range, which doubled the effective range of most of the pistols Alexei was aware of.

...That is, for a 9mm round. Luckily, he was packing a .45 ACP pistol, a relatively more powerful round. Unfortunately, not much penetration beyond maybe a plank of wood or two... He intended to use something in the range of 5.56 standard, anyway, which could put a little more muzzle velocity into the equation.

From off the cage-wall of many varying armaments of all shapes, sizes and calibers, the ACR (Adaptive Combat Rifle) chambered in 5.56mm seemed an appropriate fit. It was proportionately a bit larger than other assault rifles and weapons that were custom-fit for Pokemon of his size, but then again, Alexei probably preferred it that way... He seemed a purist of that category, preferring a full-length barrel and full stopping power compared to a shorter barrel and thereby reducing accuracy and effectiveness.

With his selected weapon, he picked up four 5.56x45mm magazines, placing three of them among pouches on his combat vest and the final in the feeding lips of the weapon, just after the grip and trigger group. He smacked the bottom of the magazine upwards, ensuring a secure lock into place, and pulled back the double-sided charge lever, located just beneath where the front-sights were railed.

"Well, I'm ready. And yes, I would say getting Water Gun taken care of for Haley is a good idea by this point; not being able to carry a firearm means you may want to consider doubling up in elemental moves, just in case."

Shierk let out a sigh of relief as Rani came to. She was still pretty weak though, and he tossed her the Oran berry from earlier. "Why did I do it?" He asked with a slight smile. "Well Rani, Do you remember what you did to me right before you passed out?" Shierk pointed to the singed fur on his chest for emphasis. "That was part of the reason, the other was because it was slightly....fun." Shierk's eyes glazed over as he recalled the events from earlier. "Rani you have a nice laugh. That's all I'm going to say." Shierk began thinking about it, a warm happy laugh. Even though she had been begging him to stop, Her laugh made everything go away. He didn't realize how much damage had been done until she Embered him and passed out. "So... I'm sorry." Shierk walked over to the drawers, rifled through for a moment and pulled out another Oran berry. He popped it in his mouth and began to nibble on it as he sat down on the table next to Rani.

Kreep was completely and utterly bemused.
He had just asked, no, yelled for Rokan to tell him where Shierk and Rani were, but instead the vulpix had ended up asking him to spar with her! However, Kreep barely even had time to think about Rani and Shierk when Rokan brought up going easy on him! Before Kreep could respond to the insult, however, he noticed Mack and Max a bit off. Max shouted over to him, asking if he was all right. "Oh, I'mf shmore thanf alshrighth!" Kreep roared back. "Why don't shyoo thoo comesh and shwatchth the bathle?" And, in truth, he was. Being out on a clear day, having fresh, living grass beneath his roots, a good fight ahead of him. This was what life was really about for him. He didn't even need, or want, that beautiful, self righteous fire type. Being pretty wasn't everything. "Tshickle yoush? Naw, Iff shlearnedth my leshon from lasht timeth!" Kreep said to Rokan, snapping back into reality. "Let'sf shust fightshth!" he roared, his last word becoming extra-slurred. With that, Kreep threw himself at Rani, his mouth wide open in preparation of a leech life attack.

With a thoughtful look on his face, Shierk picked up a large blue berry and lightly tossed it towards her. Realising she was still lying on her side, Rani leaned forward and caught the Oran Berry in her teeth. This sudden movement caused her jaw to flare up again; it was still painful from the harsh Vine Whip that Kreep had caught her unawares with. She let out an almost inaudible growl of pain, and was glad that Shierk had now started speaking again so he didn't catch it. If he had, he didn't show it. "Why did I do it?" he said, repeating the question she had put to him with a slight smile on his face, "Well Rani, do you remember what you did to me right before you passed out?" He pointed towards his chest, upon which the fur was slightly singed. It wasn't a very wide area; after all, she wasn't trying to attack him, and she was extremely weak as she blew the embers at him. "That was part of the reason," he continued, "The other was because it was slightly....fun." She really could have guessed that one for herself, remembering vividly the grin that had grown on his face as he quickened the pace of the tickling. Shierk's eyes had now glazed over, and he looked a million miles away. Rani wondered what he was thinking about when he commented quietly "Rani, you have a nice laugh."

A nice laugh?
"That's all I'm going to say," he added.
He then looked thoughtful as he apologised humbly, before heading over to one of the drawers in the room. He rustled about in it for a moment, then pulled out his own Oran Berry. Holding it in his claws, then pushing himself up onto the table upon which Rani lay, he began to nibble at it.
Rani was still lying on her side with the Oran Berry perching in her open mouth, and she quickly scrambled to get up into a sitting position. With one paw she took the Oran Berry from her mouth, and with the other tenderly touched her stinging jaw. She let out a gasp of pain as she touched it; it was very sore, and it definitely felt swollen. Looking around, Rani caught her reflection in a shiny door of one of the cabinets, and she recoiled at the sight. It was definitely swollen, but that wasn't the only thing. All of her fur was scruffy and matted, and patches of the soft outside dirt and grass stains covered her once pristine coat. She couldn't look at herself for more than a moment, and so instead looked down at the berry in her paw. She tenderly took a small nibble, trying not to aggravate her swollen jaw too much.

Shierk did seem genuinely sorry, and his actions had accelerated her ability to learn Ember. Not her favourite way of learning, of course, but it had worked, and thank goodness. She wasn't sure how much more she'd have been able to take of the tickling.
That led her to think about Shierk's comment on her laugh. It was... Nice? She'd never had her laugh complimented before. Then again, she had never properly laughed before. Rani began to smile, but the motion caused her jaw to hurt again. She took another small nibble of the Oran Berry.
"I..." she began, but then allowed her voice to fade away as she gazed down at the floor. "Thank you."

Shierk nodded. "You're welcome Rani. It may not have been the best way to teach you a move, but i'm glad it worked. Last I saw of Kreep," Shierk said this with obvious anger and contempt. "Rokan was tending to him." Shierk looked at Rani. "Honestly I'm glad you learned that move Rani. You'll need it when we go looking for Darkrai and..." Shierk trailed off. He had honestly wanted her to be able to keep kreep off of her. As a grass type, he would be weak to her ember. "Well it doesn't matter anyway. it should get better with time. And I uh have something for you. He tossed a black Lump towards her. Charcoal. You should know what it does. If not, then just keep it around. You should figure it out soon enough."

Shierk walked to the door of the room and began talking again. "We have to destroy darkrai Rani. We need to train as much as we can. There are items that can help all of us. My species love electirizers. Magmars love Magmarizers. Items make us more powerful. A fire stone for you or Rokan will evolve either of you into more powerful forms. That charcoal...that will power up.. nevermind, i'll leave that to you. I'm not saying that items are everything, but they can help Rani. All these shock pistols can do, is slightly paralyze criminals. They really can't damage someone all that much. But With some items come power. And power is exactly what we need right now. Every. Ounce. Counts." With each word, Shierk squeezed his berry harder. As he left the room, he squeezed the remaining juice from the berry into his mouth, and he chewed the remaining pulp into bits. He didn't bother wiping the juice off of his mouth.

Rokan bared her fangs and growled as she hopped to the side and whirled around as he overshot past her. She would have to think her strategy over carefully. Her intention was not to harm him, but to keep his attention. If his thoughts returned to Shierk she was afraid of what could happen. Besides that, they were supposed to be fighting in order to gain new abilities so that they could confront Darkrai, not fight over an aristocratic Growlithe. Therefore she did not fire at him, but instead continued to evade him, keeping her muscles loose and limber so that she could sway out of the way.

(OOC: I'm okay with you guys calling Mack a he. I understand it's cumbersome to continuously use 'it'.)

Kreep asked if Mack and Max could see the battle he and Rokan were about to have.
Mack wasn't eager to watch a battle like this. And Max was probably right, it may be a love triangle, Mack just hoped he was wrong about that. "I'll go inside and check on the others. You can stay and watch if you want." Mack suggested. Mack quietly turned and hovered back inside. Wanting to check on the others was only half the reason. The other half was that it didn't want to see a battle of hatred or grief. Mack was a kind of Pokémon that hated to see sadness or anger among others, for it itself doesn't really like to show its emotions strongly. It never had to, due to it trying not involve itself with emotional struggles.
