Shierk nodded at Rani, saying, "You're welcome Rani. It may not have been the best way to teach you a move, but I'm glad it worked." He paused slightly, then, with anger and contempt in his voice, added "Last I saw of Kreep."

Kreep... He was arrogant and a bully who loved being rough with others. She really shouldn't have been wondering if he was okay, but when Shierk attacked him he did it rather violently. As much as Rani had hated the tickling, it had been a good tactic to use. One that was working effectively to gain complete control over his opponent. She didn't want Shierk and Kreep to attempt to kill each other over it, and she wanted to see if he was okay.
As if reading her thoughts, Shierk told her that Rokan was tending to him. That eased her worries; Rokan seemed to be a kind Vulpix, and she would be able to fend him off because of her Fire Type moves should he get really mad and go over the top.

Rani had been looking at the ground as she thought about Kreep, but now she had the feeling someone was watching her, and looked up to see Shierk looking at her.
"Honestly I'm glad you learned that move Rani," he said kindly. "You'll need it when we go looking for Darkrai and..." his voice trailed off, but she was sure he saw a glint of anger in his eye. Kreep. She hadn't been able to defend herself before, but now she would be. "Well it doesn't matter anyway. It should get better with time." He paused for a moment, then said quietly that he had something for her. He took out a black rock of some sort and tossed it to her. She caught it with the paw that was not holding the Oran Berry and looked down at it. "Charcoal. You should know what it does. If not, then just keep it around. You should figure it out soon enough."

Rani knew what Charcoal was; her parents had told her many times that using items to power one's moves was a waste of time; that one should work to be strong and not have to rely on items that could be lost or broken. Nevertheless, she was thankful for it. She wasn't very strong in Fire Moves, having had almost no experience using them. And after all, this wasn't the first time her parents had been wrong.
Beside her, Shierk jumped down from the table, and making his way towards the door spoke quietly about different items that helped Pokemon to build their strength, including the Fire Stone. Yes, the powerful stone that would trigger her transformation into a mighty Arcanine... She could use a stone at any time, but she would wait until she felt she was ready. If she allowed herself to fall prey to a mere Bellsprout and be tickled into submission, she wasn't ready to take on the honour of being an Arcanine yet. The grin on Kreep's face as his vines writhed against her fur flashed into her face and she winced, her head spinning with the shame of allowing herself to be put into such a vulnerable situation. Twice.
Shierk now left the room, leaving Rani alone with her thoughts and memories. She hadn't even said thank you for the Charcoal; she needed to do that. For now, though. She needed to clean herself up. She took a larger bite of the Oran Berry, then popped the rest into her mouth and swallowed. She wasn't sure what kind of healing power the Oran Berry would have on her swollen jaw. It was starting to dull the aches that were all over her body from the tickling episode, but the swelling would take time to go down. The soreness would serve as a reminder of her absolutely appalling ability to defend herself against a foe and would remind her to always be ready for attack.

The rest of Rani's appearance... There was no other word but dreadful. She didn't want to look at her reflection again; it, too, would only remind herself of her powerlessness. She had to get herself cleaned up before anyone else saw her; who knew what Shierk was thinking about her now? Of course, he had helped cause this, but only because she was so powerless to fend him off. It was her fault that she looked like something the Purugly dragged in. She needed to find somewhere to bathe immediately. If she remembered correctly, there had been a lake with a fountain outside, but she couldn't go out looking like this. She couldn't go out and face Kreep after he had so easily defeated her.
The fluffy fur on her chest was ideal for holding items in, and she placed the Charcoal into it. It would stain her fur, but it would wash out. She dropped down from the table and made her way from the room, hoping she wouldn't meet anyone.

"I'll go inside and check on the others. You can stay and watch if you want." Max watched as Mack suddenly turned around and hovered away from the field in search for the others, she shrugged and mumbled "Alright, I'll still be here if you need me" Max sighed once Mack had gone, leaving only herself and the battling Kreep and Rokan, a tiny pout erupting on her face "Aww, I didn't even get to fight anyone yet. . . everyone else if having all the fun. Well maybe I can start perfecting my Close Combat!" Maxwell grinned at this idea, even though her sparring partner left, that didn't mean she was gonna stand around and not train! Nodding to herself, the Machop glanced around the field until she found a good 'opponent.'

"Found one!" Max stared at the lone tree in the entire area, it was not that far from where Rokan and Kreep were, but it wasn't close enough where either of them could get in the way of each other's training, Max's grin widened and she headed over to the tree, staring at it briefly, it was tall and thick, looking like it could take a few punches and hits before succumbing to the force of nature. . . or in Max's case, a Machops fist, but just to make sure, Max lashed out at the trees bark, the grin never leaving her face as her fist left a noticeable imprint in the base, but it didn't even move, not even a leaf fell.

"Hehehee this is gonna be so much fun" Max rubbed her hands together excitedly before she straightened herself and took a deep breath, that calmed her excited nerves, she couldn't wait to begin delivering harsh blows to this tree but Max also had to keep in mind that this tree was used for training and she couldn't destroy it either, so she had to make sure not to overdo it either. After she exhaled, Max took a few more deep breath's and then she sank to the ground, crossing her legs Indian style, despite the fact that she hated when her teacher made her do this constantly when she was under his tutelage, she always would involuntarily Meditate before training, because not only did it help increase her strength greatly, old habits just tended to die hard.

Max closed her eyes and bought her fists together, she took another deep breath and held it, then she began to concentrate, blocking all sounds and relaxing all her tense muscles, a golden yellow aura began to surround her small frame the soothing hum of the waves radiating off her was the only thing she was aware of and then when Max slowly released the breath she was holding, she began to float a few inches off the ground. Max just sat still like this for several moments, to an observer she looked as though she were frozen in time, her face wasn't scrunched up into a scowl or frown and her muscles, everything just seemed relaxed, she was like the epitome of tranquility.

Max continued to hover like this for a couple more minutes, before the golden aura left her and she lowered herself to her feet. She opened her eyes and smiled calmly, clenching her fists as she felt power radiating from the relaxed muscles she was ready to begin training. Max spread her legs slightly apart, her left leg shifting forward, while her right leg hung back her arms were raised slightly as thought to block her chest, Max took one more deep breath and exhaled again before she lashed out on the tree with Close Combat, delivering swift kicks and punches to the still opponent "Kiiiyah!"

Max frowned at her raised leg before pulling it back, her technique was still abit sloppy, that would do no good, the tree didn't even flinch, she had to try again "Hyaah!" Max lashed out once more, kicking and punching the trees base again, harder and faster than before, shouting to emphasize every hit she landed on the tree "Kiyah! Hiyah! Haah!" Once again, the tree stood strong, her punches doing nothing to it, not even a single leaf fell out of it "Heh, this tree sure is tough." She glanced up at the green leaves that covered the tree, unmoving to all except for the occasional wind that swept soothingly though its branches, that had given her an idea "That's what my goal will be!" Max declared clenching her fists "I'll keep practicing Close Combat until I get some of the leaves to fall, then I'll know for sure that I'm doing it right" with that excited declaration, Maxwell began attacking the tree again with renewed vigor.

She would master the Close Combat one way or another!

In the target range, Alexei joined them before they could even get started practicing which was great timing. "Well, I'm ready. And yes, I would say getting Water Gun taken care of for Haley is a good idea by this point; not being able to carry a firearm means you may want to consider doubling up in elemental moves, just in case." He mentioned to the two armless pokemon.

"Right" Len replied. "Anyways I'll demonstrate how you can use water gun." He said as he was hopping up to a position where he could get a clear view of the target. Then Len continued "It's pretty easy actually. Think of it as spitting... except less disgusting...and can actually hurt". Len faced for the circular target's bulls eye and aimed his bubblebeam for it. "This may be a different move but it works the same. Like so..."

As Len prepared his attack a glowing orb of blue light was coming from his small mouth. He then went all out and unleashed Bubblebeam onto the target releasing a rapid stream of bubbles all heading straight for the target. However, Even though some of the bubbles hit the target, Other bubbles in the stream got seperated and spread out of the stream and hit outside of the target completely missing and hitting the walls behind it, which shouldn't have happened.

Len was really embarrassed when he realized he had to work on this move more then he thought. "Heh... I don't even remember the last time I used bubblebeam aggressively... At least I know what I have to work on...but... You get the idea right Haley? Give your water gun a shot..." Len then turned to Alexei and said "Hey you to alexei. What if you lost your firearms? You should practice your moves up a bit also.

Haley watched Len's demonstration carefully. She was a bit apprehensive about attempting new moves, but at the same time she needed to learn them. After all, she needed to get stronger before she could attempt to oppose Darkrai. Now that she thought about it, arms would be nice too.

She focused on the target like Len said and attempted to conjure water in her throat. She opened her mouth and expelled the little bit she was able to get at the most force she could muster. It hit the target in a pencil-thin stream. It wasn't much but it was something.

Wandering through the halls in the building, Mack listened for any noises. First Mack heard a group talking. It recognized the voice as Len, Haley, and Alexei, They obviously decided to get together to train. Quietly, Mack peeked through the door. Sure enough, Haley and Len were preparing for a sparring session, while Alexei watched. Looks like this will be a great training session, they are all water type." Mack thought to itself. Mack didn't want to disturb them, so it went on its way.
Now that it thought about it, Mack felt a little guilty leaving Max by herself. Mack felt that she may be one without many friends. Because of her name, this seemed probable. This reminded Mack of itself not having many friends either. A school genius usually doesn't get too many, for everyone thinks it's a waste of time. "Maybe I should go back and keep her company. Who knows? Maybe I could help her with her training (likewise myself)." Mack said to itself.
On its way outside, Mack wondered what happened to Twilight, Miska, and Burl. From what it remembered, they didn't decide on teams yet. Thought left its mind and it reached the exit. It saw Kreep and Rokan continue to fight. Although Kreep did all the attacking, Rokan was mostly dodging them. Mack understood why. A fire type Pokémon would easily defeat one such as him.
Close by, it saw Max practicing some punches on a tree. From how it's looking, the tree didn't seem to be taking much damage. Mack had to help somehow, so it silently, yet quickly snuck by Kreep and Rokan and up to Max. "I've changed my mind. Is there anything I could do to assist?" It asked.

Rani thought she heard a low buzz and quickly stepped behind a nearby corner, watching as Mack appeared, hovering towards a nearby door. It looked inside, but then hovered away again, slowly disappearing out of sight.

Rani slowly stepped out from behind the wall and made her way over to the door. Inside, Hayley, Len and the Buizel she still didn't know the name of seemed to be training their water type moves. Oh, how Rani longed for water. She was absolutely filthy, and needed to bathe before anyone else saw her in this dreadful state. Like Mack before her, she turned and slowly began to walk away from the room. If she hadn't been able to defend herself against Grass and Electric types, how could she even talk to Water types? Not to mention it was below her dignity to be seen like this. They hadn't witnessed the 'battle'; they hadn't seen what had happened. Showing them her swollen jaw and filthy coat would only lead to awkward questions and embarrassing revelations. No one else needed to know what she had done - or rather, what she had been unable to do.

Now Rani made her way through the building again, slowly padding along on legs she could hardly feel. If there was an infirmary here, there were also probably places one could wash oneself, even if they would be easier for bipedal, humanoid Pokemon to use. So she kept moving, hoping she would find somewhere with warm water soon.

At first, Max hadn't even noticed Mack reappearing by her side, she was too engrossed in kicking this trees leafy butt "I will. . . punch. . . perfect. . . kick. . . the Close. . . punch. . . Combat!" With a powerful grunt, Max slammed her foot harshly against the trees base, she was slightly saddened that her attacks did nothing but leave extremely noticeable foot and fist marks in the base she sighed deeply and crossed her arms "Learning this move was gonna be harder than I thought. . . I think I need a moving target" caught up in her own musings, Max literally jumped a few feet in the air when she heard Mack's voice creep up beside her "I've changed my mind. Is there anything I could do to assist?"

"Oh, hey Mack" Max glanced at the Magnemite and wondered about his question, she wouldn't mind his assistance but she didn't want to hurt him either, her ridiculous strength was one of the reasons why she was isolated when younger and thats why she never had many friends. "O-Okay umm sure, you can help I don't know with what yet, cause I don't want to hurt you but yeah you can help me" humming thoughtfully to herself Max looked at the tree, then at Mack and then her gaze drifted to Rokan and Kreep, she watched as Rokan dodged Kreep's attacks even though the Vulpix had an obvious type advantage "Dodging. . . the attacks" she mumbled before her eyes widened and a smile appeared on her face.

"I know what you can do Mack and it won't hurt you at all and it will help both of us out. I'll be able to learn the move better and it increases your dodging skills, but learning how to dodge is a bit corny. . ." she trailed off frowning momentarily before snapping back into action and looking at Mack.

"Okay, so I need a moving target, cause I think I'll master Close Combat better that way," she began to explain "but I don't want to hurt you, cause even when I hold back my punches still sting, alot, but I know how to get around it" she gave Mack a toothy grin "all you have to do is dodge my attacks when we fight and it'll be real easy too, cause I won't be moving to fast and I don't want to intentionally hurt you, so I guess in a way. . . its kinda like we're sparring, but we're not. . . I think" she gave a sheepish laugh and rubbed at her bicep "You get it?"

Shierk walked out of the building and went to where he had hit Kreep. He hoped the lousy bellsprout had a black face. But when he walked outside, he saw it was not as he wished. The little weed was fine, and he was sparring with Rokan. "Come on Rokan, Burn him to cinders" But Shierk knew she wouldn't. It just wasn't the kind of thing she'd do. "Or is it?" Shierk knew he was getting ahead of himself with that one. He saw Max and Mack standing by a tree and talking. He walked to another tree where he could watch the battle and sat down, leaning his head on its trunk. He sat there and watched the battle, which was slightly boring. He felt himself get drowsier and drowsier, and he decided to take a nap. The last thing he saw was the inside of his eyelids, as he entered a deep dark sleep....

Rani sighed as she once again was disappointed in her search for some sort of bathing facility. It seemed her only option was to use the outside fountain. But it was so close to Kreep... If he was still there, that was. For all she knew, he might have gone back inside to recover from any injuries Shierk may have given him. In any case, she would keep a low profile. A covert operation, as it were. Rani began to chuckle, but stopped as pain set in in her jaw again. It wouldn't do for her to laugh, anyway. Thinking she felt someone watching her, Rani looked around warily, but there was no one there. Just her and the dull plain walls.

She began to walk slowly back through the building, hoping that the water in the fountain would at least be warm. Cold water was one thing she did not want right now. The other two were for anyone else to see her in such a state and for Kreep to notice her presence.

As she moved further through the building, Rani heard the sounds of battle, and soon reached a window that let her see outside. She didn't know quite what she was expecting to see, but her eyes grew wide and she let out a gasp when she saw Kreep and Rokan battling. Kreep was totally offensive, with Rokan merely dodging all his attacks. When Shierk had said that Rokan was tending to Kreep, she didn't envision them fighting. How could she possibly head outside to clean herself under the fountain if Kreep was right there? She sighed and sat down, leaning her head against the wall, her eyes closed. The door was right beside her, but she couldn't go through it for fear of being attacked again. She could guess that Kreep would be angry, and not necessarily just with Shierk. After all, she was the spark that had lit both of their fuses, and she didn't want to be next to Kreep when the bomb exploded.

Sighing, she took another look out of the window at Kreep and Rokan's fight. She didn't understand why she wasn't attacking. She had such a huge type advantage... Unless she didn't want to hurt him, of course. It would be so easy to do that with her Fire Type moves.

"Of course!" Rani thought to herself. "What on earth am I doing moping around here? I can take him in a fight easily now that I can use Ember!"

Even if he took her by surprise again, she would easily be able to just quickly deter him with a small Ember attack. It didn't matter if he saw her.

Rani stood up and headed through the open door. Keeping next to the wall, Rani walked speedily past the area where Kreep and Rokan were fighting, forcing herself not to look at them, feeling very conspicuous. She simply made her way to the small fountain that stood about ten metres away. It was made of a dark orangey brown stone. It was round with a water feature in the middle shaped like a bowl, over the sides of which water was falling, creating a smooth looking waterfall.
Rani dipped her paw in the water. Freezing. Figured. Still, she leapt in, gasping as the cold water covered her body. She allowed her body to get more used to the water's temperature (which was rising due to the exothermic nature of her body), then began to wash herself. Firstly her paws and front legs by simply rubbing them together, then the rest by standing under the fountain's heavy flow. She had no tree to rub against to remove the dirt from her hind legs, back and sides, apart from the one on the other side of the lawn. Of course, going over to that one would mean going past Kreep again, and she wanted to avoid that until he had cooled down for a while. Glancing over at the tree, Rani was surprised to see Shierk sitting in front of it. His eyes were closed. Was he sleeping?

Looking at Shierk reminded Rani of the gift he had given her, and she quickly looked in her fur to find it. Unfortunately, it wasn't there any more. Rani quickly searched in the water for it, and to her relief found it in the water that was slowly beginning to darken as her coat was cleaned of the dirt that had covered it. She hoped it wouldn't be waterlogged and not work anymore. She hadn't even practised one move with it helping her yet!
She put it on the side of the stone fountain, then went back to washing herself under the water feature, allowing the water to wash over her head and neck to clean away all the dirt. The grass stains would take a bit more effort to remove, but she could worry about that later. For now, she just sat under the waterfall, allowing it to softly cascade on and around her and listening to the clean sound of running water.

Shierk stared around him. He was surrounded by everything, and nothing all at the same time. This thought scared him, and he gulped carefully as he tried to move himself around. It was like moving through quicksand while his body was weighed down with lead. "Urgh. W-Where am I?" Shadow asked as he continued struggling to move.

Shierk wasn't expecting it, so he was shocked when a voice replied to his. The voice was scratchy, and he couldn't tell If it was male or female. "Hello young officer. It is.....nice to see you." Shierk looked around him in confusion, his voice was shaky as he said "W-Who's here?" "Technically I am not there, nor am I anywhere, as is you." Shierk looked even more confused as he said "I don't get it..who are you? What is this place?" "You know who I am. I know who you are. Shierk." The voice said his name as if savoring it. "I have many things to...show you. First.. Your friend. Kreel I believe he was called. Watch young one, as I show you my power."

The scene around Shierk shifted, And he was at a place he had never seen before. There were large dark hallways, in a deep shade of gray. A large sign above him said 'Wel o e To P k r z! It was obvious that some of the letters were damaged, but he couldn't make out what they used to be. Shierk slowly spun around to see what was behind him and he gasped. "Kreel!" he shouted. But the small squirtle didn't hear him. It was as if he wasn't there. Next to the squirtle was a large Blastoise, male. He was standing in a defensive stance with Kreel holding the same stance next to him. The Blastoise tenseed, almost as if it could see something Shierk couldn't. The Blastoise began to speak. "Stop ." The Blastoise's voice disappeared, for a moment, but Shierk could still see his mouth moving. The Blastoise continued, aiming the two cannons on his back at something Shierk could not see. "Back down now!" At once, a darkness enveloped everything, and a sense of foreboding grew in his stomach. Just before the darkness subsided, Shierk heard a scream of pain. When the darkness disappeared, Shierk had his eyes screwed shut, afraid to look at the scene that lay before him. But some force pried them open, and tears began to fall. on the floors in front of him were two empty shells. They were simple reminders, of the terror that had occurred.
Shierk turned away from the scene and he spoke again."No! Kreel!" Shierk knelt on the ground and wept into his claws, until he no longer could. He once again stood, with a look of anger on his face. "Are you Darkrai, or are you my subconciousness?" "I will leave that to you to decide. I could be your subconciousness, as you feared that something like this had happened to your friend. But I could also be Darkrai. Now how about a change of scene? Up next...." Shierk grimaced as the scene began to change.

"Your father." Shierk let out a small gasp as the scene began to change again. Shierk was now standing in a dark alley with trash thrown about everywhere. there were small weeds poking up through the cement, and in the center of it all were two figures.Shierk whimpered as he saw his father, a large Electabuzz with slightly grayed hair. The figure accross from him was a Large pink weavile, with a Golden Headdress.

Shierk whimpered again as he heard his father's voice. "Weavile! Turn yourself in now! Don't make me fight you!" The Weavile just smiled, and beckoned The electabuzz with its claws. The Electabuzz snarled at the weavile and said "You will regret this!" The Electabuzz held its hands a foot apart as a ball of energy began to form, building off of the electricity coming from his fingers. As the Electabuzz started to direct its energy at the weavile, The Weavile struck. Shierk couldn't see the attack, but he saw the result. Shierk watched the events in slow motion, as his father fell to the ground, his energy dissipating. Shierk watched The Weavile smirk, and saw him walk away, leaving Shierk's wounded father to die. All Shierk could do was weep.

"So. Are you ready for the next one Shierk? Or do you want to watch your dying father some more?" "Shierk's eyes narrowed, his fist clenched and he yelled at the voice furiously. "HOW DARE YOU! I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE! I JUST WANT TO LEAVE!" The voice paused. "No. I have more events to show you. On to the next one. You will like it I think."

Shierk was numb as the scene changed again, but he was shocked when he saw what was happening within it. He was back to everything and nothingness. Shierk looked at the scene in front of him, eyes wide. Fifty yards away there were two pokemon. An Arcanine, female. Her fur was matted, and some spots of it were sodden with a dark liquid. She was obviously in pain. Shierk didn't understand the pont of her until he saw her back leg, more importantly the anklet around it. "Rani." Shierk gasped and then looked at the pokemon next to her. It was an Electivire. Its tails were poised around Rani menacingly, blue tips crackling with energy. The Electivire touched the tails to Rani and she Screamed. Her voice was beautiful-more beautiful than he could ever imagine- but she was in pain. Horrible pain. Shierk began running Towards her as he screamed "R-R-RAAAANNIIII!!!" As he was running, Shierk noticed something. The Electivire had an X shaped scar between its eyes.

*In the Real world*(Starting from the beginning of his nightmare.)
Almost immeadiately after Shierk had fallen asleep, he began to toss and turn. At one point he screamed "Kreel!" out to everyone nearby who could hear him. Tears began to flow from his eyes as he slept, he whimpered several times as the tears grew worse. in a final moment, His sleeping self yelled "R-R-RAAANIIII!!!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rokan continued to dodge effectively, enjoying the chance to prove to herself that she wasn't just a pretty fox. She was a quick, limber mistress of flames, and she wouldn't forget it. With every moment her confidence in her own capabilities built, as well as her respect for Kreep. The Bellsprout was launching some incredibly fast moves, much speedier than she would have thought him capable of. Then again, Bellsprout in general were known for their speed. As he aimed to hit her again and again she began to see past his drool and beyond his speech impediment. He was a truly magnificent specimen.
After quite some time of just playing dodge she decided to fight back. Just as she narrowed her eyes to send him a Disable attack she heard Shierk scream Rani's name. Both of her ears perked up and she turned on a dime, sprinting in the direction of his voice. Had something happened? Were the two of them alright? Her chocolate-gloved legs couldn't carry her near as fast as she wished to go. When she finally reached him she realized he was asleep, and Rani was nearby and alright. The only conclusion she could draw was that it had been a nightmare.
"Shierk, wake up," she said softly, licking him between the eyes and over his x scar. "Come on, it's alright. Wake up."
Kreep quickly did another spinning vine whip kick, his leg just barely missing the nimble Rokan. At first, Kreep had enjoyed this battle, becoming engrossed in memories of fights past, all of them blurring together into one battle of passion. When in a fight, his voice didn't matter. His book-smarts didn't matter. His drool didn't matter either. When in a fight, nothing mattered. Pure strength and emotion flowed through Kreep, manifesting itself outwardly through his attacks. Even if he got hit by an attack, it would just make him stronger. Angrier. More powerful, and ready to strike back tenfold. Kreep felt as if he was everything except Rokan. He was the grass-covered ground, the crisp air, and he had her surrounded. There was nothing to pay attention to, except for his opponent. His opponent was faceless, a thing made from his past experiences. This was not Rokan, this was all of his enemies, and Kreep had to prove himself! He aimed a straight armed punch at the foe, who quickly rolled backwards and leapt to the side. Kreep quickly spun around, his vine whip attack lashing out to where he knew the opponent was. But they had dodged again, not even trying to land an attack. Whether it was in minutes or hours, the bellsprout could not tell, but he eventually lost his lust for this fight. He wasn't a powerful juggernaut, taking blows without being phased and fighting back. He was just his slobbering, slurring self, and he was being played. This was Rokan, and she wasn't fighting back! The fire-type continued to dodge his attacks, and no matter how much Kreep could connect with the earth, it was too hard to hit a foe that didn't even care about landing an attack. This was becoming less fun... and more infuriating! "Fishght backth!" Kreep roared, recklessly tossing himself at Rokan. However, she just leapt to the side and completely avoided the attack. "WHY AREN'TH SHYOO FISHGHTINGTH ME?!" Kreep was losing it. He didn't care if he won or lost anymore, he just wanted to fight someone. "THROKANSH! USESH THYOUR EMBSHER! I WANTSH YOU TO HITH ME!" The fire type, however, was in a trance, nimbly dodging any and all attacks Kreep threw at her.
"R-R-RAAANIIII!!!" suddenlty, a yell came from a ways off, distracting both Kreep and Rokan. With out a word, Rokan ran over to where the voice had came from. Kreep followed, all thoughts of the dissapointing battle falling out of his thoughs like a steady rainfall. Who... Who was it that yelled? Kreep soon got his answer, when he saw Shierk laying on the ground, apparently asleep. Rokan rushed over to the elekid, comforting the distressed 'mon. It's him... Kreep had been waiting for this moment. Shierk was right there, ready to be pulverised by Kreep's spiked leaves. Yet, he couldn't do it. The bellsprout could only stand there, his mind strangely blank and his mouth dripping.
"Oh god now what." Max had been waiting for Mack's response, when suddenly she heard Shierk scream, this cause the Machop to flinch as he cried out Rani's name, her gaze landed on Rokan, watching as the mocha colored Vulpix stopped fighting Kreep and dashed off towards Shierk's voice, leaving Kreep to stand there staring blankly at nothing while drool dripped from his mouth "Ouch. . . this must not be his day huh?" Max winced, her eyes softening as she looked at Kreep, who in her opinion looked extremely pitiful at the moment "Hey Mack, let's go talk to him. . . he looks like he needs some cheering up or something" without waiting for him to respond, Max dragged the Magnemite towards the Bellsprout, she waved a hand in front of his face, that was frozen in a blank expression "Hey dude, you still alive in there?"
Shierk continued to run towards the two pokmon when everything shifted. It was almost a flicker really, The everything nothingness flickered between places he'd never seen. A large crater, an Isle with a large high security building on it, and a few more random areas. The two pokemon were stillthere, but one of them shifted too. The Arcanine-Rani shifted into a magnificent Ninetales, but she too was injured just as Rani had been, and she was in pain as well. The Ninetales flickered to Rani and back. In between flickerings, Shierk noticed that the ninetales had white streaks in her tails.
In the real world, Shierk whispered "Rokan."
The sudden flickering caused Shierk to falter for a moment, but he continued running towards the Electivire a moment afterwards. When he was within 10 feet of the Electivire, The quicksand speed came back to him. Shierk attempted to use a quick attack, but he barely got enough momentum to hit the Electivire. The small attack knocked The Electivire back and inch, just enough to get the tails to disconnect from Rani/Rokan. They collapsed to the ground and vanished instantly, bringing Shierk instant relief. The voice rang again "Good job Shierk, but you will need to do better than that!" Two shadows came out from underneath the Electivire, and they began to form 3D sillohuettes. Shierk was now surrounded by Electivire, Weavile, and Bellsprout. All at once, Shierk was hit by Thunder punch, Night slash, and Razor leaf. Shierk screamed in pain and said "need help."
In the real world, Shierk's sleeping body grabbed Rokan's arm weakly and said the same thing.
As she attempted valiantly to wake Shierk she began to get desperate. His whimpers made her heart twist painfully as her older sister instincts took hold. "Shierk, wake up!" she said more forcefully, chewing lightly on his prongs. Then she heard her name. Her good ear perked slightly. Did that mean it was working?
She pawed at him so that she ended up half-standing on his chest. "Shierk!" She loosed a gentle Ember on his chest to heat him up, hopefully enough to rouse him. "Up! Now!" That was about when he grabbed her, leg, throwing her off balance. She tumbled forward with a squeak of surprise, but was back on her feet in an instant. That he wasn't waking up was making her nervous, more so by the second. What if something was wrong?
"Hey dude, you still alive in there?" Kreep was brought back into reality by the machop's question. Kreep turned around to face him, and saw that Mack was there as well. He gave a small nod to the duo. "Yeash. I'mf... Umth... Shired, thasht's all..." Kreep mumbled, wiping the drool from his mouth. In reality, he wasn't tired at all. But, Shierk, Rani, even Rokan now. They all were... enemies? Kreep couldn't believe this, really. They were all on the same force, ready to take out Darkrai once they were done with this small bit of preliminary practice. Kreep knew that they weren't really his enemies. But, it still felt like it. Kreep always felt like he had enemies. This... This was just the norm. He wished it wasn't. Kreep turned around for a second to see Rokan comforting Shierk. The bellsprout quickly went back to facing Max and Mack, not being able to take it. "I gueshf aloth hash happenshed inth thish shortf thime we'veth asthembled our sheam, eh?" Kreep said with a false smile on his face, pointed back at Shierk, laying on the ground. "We'f alshready hadth a few peopshle fainth." Kreep really, really felt like shouldering past them all. Just, going and finding someone to beat up on. But, maybe... maybe he could try to stick around for once. He could just, maybe, care.
Shierk forced himself to his feet as he looked around himself at his new foes. His two enemies and himself. At the moment he was alone. He began to fight, starting off with a three-way thundershock. It was a bad idea. The "Kreep" took the hit, barely wincing as he did so. It did a little better on the Weavile, as it flinched slightly. The worst one was the Electivire. The thundershock hit its body, and was absorbed. The Electivire started hopping from foot to foot, the electric attack activating its Motor drive and speeding it up. The three attacked him again, and his body spazzed, in this world and the real world.
Shierk coughed as he felt a warmth on his chest. He looked down at it, expecting it to be his own blood, but instead it was a small ball of fire. Stangely, it didn't burn him, and it began to spread all around his fur, coating his body in a thin layer of flame. Some of the quick sand slowness seemed to melt away, and he felt more powerful. As he looked up at the three pokemon around him, he noticed another pokemon outside of the ring. It was Rokan, She flickered freely from Vulpix to ninetales, with a worried look on her face. Shierk tore his gaze from her, and back into the battle.
Shierk felt a tightening sensation on his prongs and he began charging a thundershock, which had a small bit of fire mixed in. Shierk launched the Attack at The Bellsprout and the weavile, and watched as two intertwined beams of lightning and fire hit the two pokemon, causing them to disintigrate into dust. Shierk hadn't been paying attention to Electivire however and he was hit in the side by the most powerful thunder punch yet. Again he Spazzed in both worlds, and he gasped out, "Need....More..."
"It's true, a lot has happened in one day." Mack implied. "I suppose the reason for all this is perhaps we all just started the fighting sessions too early; before we even all got acquainted...that is...knowing each other and getting along more."
Mack never thought he was good at making friends, but maybe it was because he never tried. If a smart-aleck is made fun of, then it goes on for a long time.
"We all sort of got ahead of ourselves. Perhaps we should all just start over and learn from one another."
After its speech, Mack took notice of Rokan trying continuously reviving Shierk, who seemed to be having a horrid vision of some sort.
"Is he asleep, or is he in a violent trance?" Mack wondered.
Frustration was truly taking hold of her. At first, Rokan had just been afraid, but now she was facing the problem of being unable to wake him at all. She growled and bit his prongs, actually digging her teeth in a little now. She would pull him back into reality, no matter what it took. With some effort she managed to pull him away from the tree and toward her. To avoid him falling on top of her she pulled to the side at first. It was only a slightly effective method; she moved him slightly, succeeding only in getting two of her tails lodged under his body. She yelped and jumped back quickly, at first unable to tell what had happened. Besides that electricity was sparking in the air around Shierk, making her silky fur stand on end. She looked truly ridiculous, but that was not the issue. The issue was that he was still asleep. She sat down on her haunches in front of him, disgruntled. What to do now?
"I dunno, but I think Rokan's got it covered" she replied to Mack before turning back to Kreep, she had decided not to grace him with a smart comment when he lied about being tired, poor guy had already gone through enough trouble for the day, no need to make matters worse. She bit back a groan and sighed, they hadn't even been on one mission and there was already complications within the group she noted when Kreep mentioned about Shierk "If those three don't settle whatever the heck they've got going on with each other, then we are officially screwed" Max thought with a frown as she glanced briefly at Rokan, who was trying to wake Shierk up, her gaze quickly however landed back on Kreep, whatever was happening over there was none of her business, she had come over here to cheer up mister dejected and drooling.
Heaving another sigh, Max rubbed at her bicep awkwardly and began to speak "Hey uh look Kreep, I don't know what exactly is going on here, but if you wanna talk about it or if you wanna let it all out or something, I'm just letting you know that I can take a few good punches before its lights out. . . or you can go hit the tree I was practicing on, whatever floats your boat man" she shrugged, not really sure where she was going with this "I just. . . It just doesn't feel right to see you like this you know? I mean we hardly know each other and all but I hate seeing others look so. . . so sad, no offense to you or anything" she added hastily before looking away weakly, this was really awkward for her.
