Genevieve Demetrius
Gold Tribe
It was almost deathly silent after Genevieve had last spoken, she watched this Lucario close. By the look on his face, he seemed to be thinking. Of what Genevieve wasn't sure of, but before she could speak again the Lucario made his move. He moved quickly as he prepared a Close Combat. Genevieve prepared a Dark Pulse as she stood her ground. There was no way she'd let him attack first, that could end up being a grave mistake.
As Genevieve was about to attack the keeper of this portal, an Omastar, spoke up, stopping them both in their tracks. "There are 16 combatants in this portal! The round is over for you!" His voice was deep. Genevieve looked over at the Omastar. How'd he know? Sure he's a Keeper, but this area was large. Though the Keepers abilities were a mystery to them, since they were ancient Pokemon. And hadn't been seen for countless years. Genevieve pushed those thoughts away and looked back at the Lucario. Since he was so close, she could get a better look at him. She hadn't gotten a good look when they had previously meet. Genevieve could see that one of his eyes had a scar over it. Mostly likely from a fight of some kind. The scar looked deep enough to have damaged his sight. Then she noticed the bone necklace that hung from his neck. The bone pieces seemed to be of variety, so it was highly unlikely the bones were from the same thing. Maybe a few, but not many. His whole appearance seemed to point to tough guy. But it could be just an act, something he did to get Pokemon to give him want he wanted.
Genevieve didn't reply to his last statement, it didn't need to be answered. Really, she was relieved that they didn't fight. Though, she had wanted to fight him. But the poison was affecting her worse and quicker then she had thought it would. Genevieve was starting to get dizzy and was getting harder to keep herself up. It felt like her energy had been completely zapped. But Genevieve knew she couldn't fall down here, there was no telling what the Omastar would do. Even if the round had officially ended a couple minutes earlier. So Genevieve slowly walked to the portal. After stepping through she reappeared in the Spire. Genevieve looked around, but didn't one familiar face. Nor any of the other Gold Tribe members.
Annabell Grace
Anna layed there for a couple minutes gasping like a Magikarp out of water. After a couple minutes she slowly stood to her feet and steadied herself before looking around. The small chamber she was in would have been completely dark if it wasn't for the hole she fell through. Sunshine and light came through the hole, lighting up the room. It wasn't much but it was enough to let Anna know how big the chamber was. Anna squinted her eyes as she looked around, looking for an exit. She found one in the wall directly across from her. So Anna walked towards it and through it.
Anna walked through the hallway, her hands out in front of her so she wouldn't run into anything. It started to get increasingly darker as Anna got farther away from the small chamber. Luckily this hallway was just a hallway, there were no other hallways connected to it, so it had to be the way out.
Anna stepped out into the sunshine a minute later. She put her hand up to block the sun, as her eyes got readjusted to the light. After blinking several times Anna was able to see again. She looked around, trying to figure her way back to the Spire. Anna looked to be in the deserted part of town, there wasn't a Pokemon there. She sighed and started to walk in the direction she thought lead to the Spire.
Just one. Just one Pokemon. Anna thought, her hopping her thoughts would send someone for her to ask directions to. And as if someone had read her thoughts, a young Growlithe ran out in front of her. She wasn't looking at Anna, rather, she was looking in the alley she had just came from. Her tail wagging playfully. The Growlithe seemed to be around Anna's age, maybe a little younger. She stiffened as she seen Anna, her tail grew still and she turned to face her. Anna was confused at the look the Growlithe was giving her. Its scared? Of me? She thought as if it was the most insane thought she'd ever had.
"Lyyla!" A voice shouted and a couple seconds later an Arcanine ran out of the same alley. "Lyyla! You know you shouldn't get too far ahead of me!" Then the Arcanine noticed Anna. He stepped protectively in front of the Growlithe and Anna opened her mouth to ask directions. But before she could the Arcanine used his mouth to throw a couple coins at Anna. "Get lost!" He bellowed at Anna and then said to his daughter. "Come along Lyyla." The Growlithe and Arcanine turned and walked away.
The coins had hit Anna square in the forehead, hurting as they bounced off her head and to the ground. Her forehead stung and so did her eyes, for there were tears. I'm still the pathetic beggar I've been for years. She thought as she choked back her tears and stood up. Anna left the coins on the ground, she didn't want them. Someone who really needed them would come along. Anna started to silently walk in the same direction the Growlithe and Arcanine had went. But they were out of sight. Anna really hoped this was the way to the Spire.
