Shiro smiled at the Duchess and said, "I see the rumors about your fighting abilities are true." Just then they were informed that their round had needed. Shiro had a slight look of disappointment on his face when he heard the keeper announce it. He didn't defeat any enemies this round… he hoped the story of this fight never made it back to Tollen. His father would be very disappointed in Shiro's performance if he hadn't done anything the whole battle. Just then the Duchess muttered something to Shiro and he looked at her and said, "Yes I see no reason to stick around here. Our mission is complete… for now."

The portal opened and the Dewott and the Duchess stepped through. Looking around Shiro noticed the flying pokemon he had fought before wasn't there. Perhaps he had defeated an opponent. With that thought in mind Shiro smiled a little with a proud look on his face. He then glanced over at the Duchess and said, "That wasn't what I was expecting for a tournament. I have a feeling it's only going to get stranger from now on."

Just then he spotted Sir Zachary who looked a little relieved to see Shiro and the Duchess. Shiro walked up to Zachary and said, "Good to see your ok as well. Do you know if the two commoners survived? My shorter statue makes it hard to see over many of these competitors." Shiro looked around again there were definitely a lot less competitors standing around now but he couldn't spot the other two Trollen fighters.

He had stalked his prey for a few hours now, the time all blending together making it seem both like ages and like a blink of the eye. Silver had found the scent back at the river that ran through the cavern, and it had led to here. He had always been a good tracker, and that was coming in handy right now as he swept his eyes from one side of the small cave to the other. The scent had branched off from the main fighting cavern and gone off into a side cave that turned and twisted for what must have been miles, but here the scent was freshest, and could not have been more that a few minutes old.

Silver scanned the cave from his hiding spot for the third time, trying to spot any evidence of his target. If he had been back in the Alpha Alliance, he would have rushed in without hesitation, as few could stand up to a member of Gold Tribe. But here, every fighter in the tournament was chosen because of their strength, and usually more than just that. So, was he just getting closer to his enemy, or was the enemy lying in wait for him, waiting to ambush him.

Silver thought for a moment about his options, and what he had learned so raf about the enemy. The scent he had picked up was definitely bug, and it had been relatively fast. The absol had to run at some points to keep up with it instead of sticking to the shadows like he normally did. He had also smelled and seen droplets of venom at some points, so it was probobly a poison type as well. He searched his memory, trying to recall any of the contestants in the arena that would match the description. The only one that he could remember had been a Scolipede...

He smiled, Scolipedes took extra damage from psycic moves, and just happed to have psyco cut. Well then, he thought lets go trip the trap. He cautiosly creeped into the room, keeping his ears and eyes open for any movements or sounds. He moved to the center of the room, waiting, then spun around quickly to see the monstrous form of a pokemon behind him. He grinned inwardly as he saw that he was correct, that it was an ambush and that he was facing a Scolipede. After hardly a millesecond of satisfaction, he lept out of the way of the charging bug pokemon, which kept going and crashed into a rock.he quickly sent out two psyco cuts and a dark pulse at the beast while it was stunned, but it did not seem to do a lot of damage to it. Not that Silver was surprised, all the players in the tournament could probobly take lots of pain, and a few attacks was not going to stop this beast. The Scolipede continued to charge him time and time again, while SIlver harrased it with both his moves and claws.

After a few minutes of this, the Scolipede changed strategies, and used the move steamroller, rolling up the wall onto the cieling, then back down the other wall and into Silver before he had time to get out of the way, throwing the Absol against the opposite wall, temporarily stunned. The Scolipede took advantage of the opening and charged once again, this time mercilously stabbing Silver with it's horns, poisoning him. Silver quickly used a combination of psyco cut and dark pulse to blast the other pokemon away, and got up shakily, the poison already taking effect in his system. Realising that he did not have much time before the poison would really kick in, he changed tactics, launching dark pulse after dark pulse through the room. causing it to shudder and shake. As he saw cracks forming on the walls and cieling, he dashed out of the room, just as the cieling collapsed behind him, cushing the wailing Scolipede behind him.

He ran on shaky legs for a mile or two before resting and taking stock of his injuries. He had various scrapes and bruises, but the only major wound was where the Scolipede had stapped him with it's horns on his left sholder. He could feel it stinging from the poison and a small amount of pus was oozing out of it.

He slowly made his way back to the main cavern, and just as he did, there was a large explosion on the other side of the large cave. He squinted, trying to see what had happened, but was unable to because of the distance and dim light. He crept around the edge of the cavern, staying in the safety of the shadows, trying to find out what happened, when he saw a pokemon walking straight for him. He tensed up, readying himself if battle was necessary, then relaxed again as he realized it was one of the keepers.

The hooded Kabutops called to him "The battle is over, you may come back to the portal now."

Silver hesitated for a moment, then walked out of the shadows towards the ancient pokemon. He started walking back to the portal, then stopped and asked "What happened over there with that big explosion?"

The Kabutops smiled and said "A graveler who was about to die used self destruct and tried to take his opponent with him. Unfortunately he failed, and the other pokemon managed to survive. Although, there was quited a bit of damage to the arena." Then the ancient pokemon smiled and walked away, probobly to go gather the rest of the contestants.

Silver shuddered. Unfortunately? Wow, some real nice people here. He shook his mind and quickly limped to the river, where he dipped his shoulder in an attempt to clean out the poison before heading back to the portal. He stood at the glowing doorway for a moment, looking back into the cavern, before stepping into the glowing light.

He stepped out on the other side and shook his head. Those portals gave him a strange feeling in the head, kind of like when at parties when you suck all the helium out of a balloon.

He looked around, searching for the other Gold Tribe members, finding most of them standing together, as well as a small Buizel. He walked over to them, weaving through the smaller than earlier crowd of pokemon. He cleared his throat and said "Well, looks like most of us made it through the round. Any news from the others yet?"

Cavern Portal closed, right? Lol, I am supposed to be doing my AP Chem summer homework right now....oh well, I am sure I'll get around to it before September :)

    Genevieve Demetrius
    Gold Tribe

It was almost deathly silent after Genevieve had last spoken, she watched this Lucario close. By the look on his face, he seemed to be thinking. Of what Genevieve wasn't sure of, but before she could speak again the Lucario made his move. He moved quickly as he prepared a Close Combat. Genevieve prepared a Dark Pulse as she stood her ground. There was no way she'd let him attack first, that could end up being a grave mistake.

As Genevieve was about to attack the keeper of this portal, an Omastar, spoke up, stopping them both in their tracks. "There are 16 combatants in this portal! The round is over for you!" His voice was deep. Genevieve looked over at the Omastar. How'd he know? Sure he's a Keeper, but this area was large. Though the Keepers abilities were a mystery to them, since they were ancient Pokemon. And hadn't been seen for countless years. Genevieve pushed those thoughts away and looked back at the Lucario. Since he was so close, she could get a better look at him. She hadn't gotten a good look when they had previously meet. Genevieve could see that one of his eyes had a scar over it. Mostly likely from a fight of some kind. The scar looked deep enough to have damaged his sight. Then she noticed the bone necklace that hung from his neck. The bone pieces seemed to be of variety, so it was highly unlikely the bones were from the same thing. Maybe a few, but not many. His whole appearance seemed to point to tough guy. But it could be just an act, something he did to get Pokemon to give him want he wanted.

Genevieve didn't reply to his last statement, it didn't need to be answered. Really, she was relieved that they didn't fight. Though, she had wanted to fight him. But the poison was affecting her worse and quicker then she had thought it would. Genevieve was starting to get dizzy and was getting harder to keep herself up. It felt like her energy had been completely zapped. But Genevieve knew she couldn't fall down here, there was no telling what the Omastar would do. Even if the round had officially ended a couple minutes earlier. So Genevieve slowly walked to the portal. After stepping through she reappeared in the Spire. Genevieve looked around, but didn't one familiar face. Nor any of the other Gold Tribe members.

    Annabell Grace

Anna layed there for a couple minutes gasping like a Magikarp out of water. After a couple minutes she slowly stood to her feet and steadied herself before looking around. The small chamber she was in would have been completely dark if it wasn't for the hole she fell through. Sunshine and light came through the hole, lighting up the room. It wasn't much but it was enough to let Anna know how big the chamber was. Anna squinted her eyes as she looked around, looking for an exit. She found one in the wall directly across from her. So Anna walked towards it and through it.

Anna walked through the hallway, her hands out in front of her so she wouldn't run into anything. It started to get increasingly darker as Anna got farther away from the small chamber. Luckily this hallway was just a hallway, there were no other hallways connected to it, so it had to be the way out.

Anna stepped out into the sunshine a minute later. She put her hand up to block the sun, as her eyes got readjusted to the light. After blinking several times Anna was able to see again. She looked around, trying to figure her way back to the Spire. Anna looked to be in the deserted part of town, there wasn't a Pokemon there. She sighed and started to walk in the direction she thought lead to the Spire.

Just one. Just one Pokemon. Anna thought, her hopping her thoughts would send someone for her to ask directions to. And as if someone had read her thoughts, a young Growlithe ran out in front of her. She wasn't looking at Anna, rather, she was looking in the alley she had just came from. Her tail wagging playfully. The Growlithe seemed to be around Anna's age, maybe a little younger. She stiffened as she seen Anna, her tail grew still and she turned to face her. Anna was confused at the look the Growlithe was giving her. Its scared? Of me? She thought as if it was the most insane thought she'd ever had.

"Lyyla!" A voice shouted and a couple seconds later an Arcanine ran out of the same alley. "Lyyla! You know you shouldn't get too far ahead of me!" Then the Arcanine noticed Anna. He stepped protectively in front of the Growlithe and Anna opened her mouth to ask directions. But before she could the Arcanine used his mouth to throw a couple coins at Anna. "Get lost!" He bellowed at Anna and then said to his daughter. "Come along Lyyla." The Growlithe and Arcanine turned and walked away.

The coins had hit Anna square in the forehead, hurting as they bounced off her head and to the ground. Her forehead stung and so did her eyes, for there were tears. I'm still the pathetic beggar I've been for years. She thought as she choked back her tears and stood up. Anna left the coins on the ground, she didn't want them. Someone who really needed them would come along. Anna started to silently walk in the same direction the Growlithe and Arcanine had went. But they were out of sight. Anna really hoped this was the way to the Spire.

    Duchess Caitlyn Charporé
    Kingdom of Tollen

"I see the rumors about your fighting abilities are true." The Dewott complimented, which she took it in with a blush. "Yes I see no reason to stick around here. Our mission is complete… for now."

The portal opened and the Dewott and the Duchess stepped through. Sir Shiro seemed to be searching for something, as there was a wandering look in his eyes. Then, when he appeared to have concluded in his mind, a small proud grin formed on his face. He then glanced over at the Duchess and said, "That wasn't what I was expecting for a tournament. I have a feeling it's only going to get stranger from now on."

They both spotted Sir Zachary who looked a little relieved to see the Dewott and Caitlyn. Sir Jinkiro walked up to Zachary and said, "Good to see your ok as well. Do you know if the two commoners survived? My shorter statue makes it hard to see over many of these competitors." The Cinccino gaped wide-eyed after hearing the comment. I wonder how Nova and Lorenzo are faring. I'm sure that girl would be fine. The chinchilla swept any unpleasant thoughts from her mind and assured herself that it was only a matter of time before they would meet their fellow countrymen.

Crowds of winning fighters hustled out, as portals materialized from nowhere and released the Pokemon in it. Temporarily, Caitlyn stood there and started cleaning herself up from all the dust originating from those city roads.

(Short but yeah...let's hope the next round is much better. =3 )

    Replicus 'Fallax' Decendas
    Gold Tribe

Replicus landed onto the ground. He was approached by a hooded Armaldo.

    "A Keeper..." Replicus thought.

"There are 16 combatants left. You have advanced to the next round." The Keeper said.

    "Huh, there are?" Fallax said.

"Wait.....Did Stingfist survive?" Replicus thought. He had left Stingfist all alone, and was now worried whether he may have survived or not.

He was led out of the portal, and he saw Stingfist there, unharmed. He walked over to him, and gave him a pat on the back. "Well done Stingfist. We both survived." He said.

"Fallax! Stingfist! You made it to the next round as well! Good work!" Kent waved to them. Fallax walked over to him, and he was with Dylan.

"Huh, it was fun. Except for the heat." Replicus commented.

Suddenly, Kent changed. He was looking at a hooded figure nearby, and he saw a huge Regigigas staring at Kent. Soon Regigigas walked away.

"Hey, who was he? The way he was looking at you was almost as if he wanted to eat you. And looking at his size, he probably would've too." Replicus laughed.

Kent ignored Regigigas, and said, "This little one packed a punch as well. He may be young, but he can fight." He pointed to Dylan.

"Of course he can! Nobody else can match up to my level being weak." He grinned at Dylan. He then noticed his troubled expression.

"Hey, Dylan, what's up? Something wrong?" he asked.

    Cavern Portal: Closed

    Kingdom of Tollen

Zachary's worries seemed to dissipate quite a bit as he saw the Duchess and Shiro exit from their portal. They had made it too the next round. Shiro must have noticed that Zachary held some worried expression on his face, and picked up on it right away.

"Good to see your ok as well. Do you know if the two commoners survived? My shorter statue makes it hard to see over many of these competitors."

Zachary looked around at the portal that Nova and Lorenzo went through. It's light was still inactive, which meant their round was still going on.

"They aren't done with their round yet. All we can do is wait and wish them luck." Zachary said, looking long and hard at the still inactive portal. But Zachary thought of the strange round they had just been through. He was interested in this Tournament, almost to the point where he wanted to find out more about it.

"Quite a strange event, if you ask me. Very strange. Perhaps we should investigate it a bit if we get free time between the rounds."

    ***************************************************************

    Gold Tribe

Kent was relieved to see Silver come towards him as well. He was one of the few Gold Tribe that was in a separate portal than the rest of them. He smiled at him as the Absol came forward and cleared his throat, speaking.

"Well, looks like most of us made it through the round. Any news from the others yet?"

Kent nodded his head and looked around. Bellator was still nowhere in sight, and neither was Genevieve. Replicus now replied from before.

"Huh, it was fun. Except for the heat." Kent nodded in response.

"Hey, who was he? The way he was looking at you was almost as if he wanted to eat you. And looking at his size, he probably would've too." Fallax said, talking about the Regigigas and the hooded Pokemon next to him who was eying them. Kent remembered that only Genevieve and Silver had actually seen the Regigigas before in the war two years ago.

"That's Regigigas, Fallax. He was a high-ranking member of the Order of Neoverse, two years ago. My guess is that the Order survivors are here as participants of the Tournament, and that hooded Pokemon is with them." Kent's expression was serious as he spoke to them now.

"If there truly is an Ultimate Power, and if the Order really is after it in this Tournament, then we know what they'll use it for. They'll try to finish what they started two years ago. We can't let them do it. We can't let that happen. Our duty is to protect the Alpha Alliance, and by winning this Tournament, we will be doing just that."

Kent looked around for Toro and Genevieve, being the two last Pokemon in the Gold Tribe. He noticed Genevieve's portal activate again, which meant that her round was over.

Kent looked at Dylan as Fallax noticed something wrong with the boy. He was probably worried about something. Kent patted him on the shoulder, as is to comfort him.

He was interrupted when he suddenly realized that someone was approaching them. It was the Regigigas. He came up to them. Kent calm grip on Dylan's shoulder had suddenly tightened as he prepared for what could be an attack on them. But the attack never came. Instead, the Regigigas merely spoke softly to Kent and the others.

"The Gold Tribe and the Order have unfinished business. Come to the front of the Spire tonight at midnight. We have a score to settle."

With that, Regigigas walked away. Kent looked at the rest of his Gold Tribe. He wondered what the meaning was.

Was he intending to take on all of us by himself? Or was he going to fight our warriors with theirs? After all, it could be a trap. These thoughts and more rushed into the Zangoose's mind. He wondered the other's reactions.

Stingfist spoke softly to the rest of them. "Well, that wasn't unusual at all."

Kent could feel the sarcasm in his voice, but he was right. It was an outright challenge from the Regigigas against Kent, against the Gold Tribe. And the Gold Tribe didn't refuse challenges.

"I agree," said Shiro as he looked around he then said, "I do not think it would be wise to discuss this any more here." He then stood there for a second watching the portal that Zarchary was watching. Shiro didn't care too much about the Emolga commoner but the Espeon was a curious one. Perhaps this would be a good test to see if she was blessed, or just lucky to have such colorization. After waiting for a few minutes Shiro said half jokingly, "The Duchess' display of skill and honor in battle I admit was much more impressive than my own. I would hope that you didn't outperform me as well." He seemed to be trying to play the whole thing off, but his acting abilities were not great and it was clear he had said it out of frustration.

Despite being victorious in battle and both him and the Duchess surviving something about the battle seemed to bug Shiro and he seemed a bit unhappy. In fact it seemed to bug him more than the fact that the other two members of Trollen had not emerged from their portal. His obsession with honor and proving himself overpowered any concern for those around him it seemed.

A minute later Shiro tried to shift his mind off his own troubles by trying to shift the conversation to get his mind off the battle in the city by saying, "Have you seen any of the competitors that were knocked out come through the portals? Do you think they just leave them there or something?"

    Tennille Nakumi
    Region of Argos

As the matched moved on, a Rhyperior used a Hammer Arm attack towards Tennille, which Tennille blocked with her right arm, and performed a Drain Punch against the Rhyperior with her left hand, fainting it as Tennille regained some of its health; thanks to Tennille's Bulk Up boost. Then, out of no where, an Onix popped out of the ground it dug under, and attempted to use a slam attack towards Tennille. Tennille couldn't dodge the huge attack; so she tried to block Onix's Slam attack. Onix managed to push Tennille back a bit, but eventually, Tennille stopped in its tracks, and counter attack with another Drain Punch, buy running towards the head of the Onix, hitting it quare on the head, knocking it out as well.

Tennille wanted to catch her breath a little bit, but then, Tennille observed what-seemed-to-be her next opponent. The pokemon was all purple, and had a Gastly figure, with what seemed to be a witches hat. It was a Mismagius, all prepared for a grand fight. "Fear me fools, you should know me well, for this fight, can't you tell?" Mismagius started. "I, Mismagius shall win this battle, you however, should go back to your baby rattle..." "Man, you should be in a kids show or something," Tennille suggested. "Cause y'know, I saw this program where they put BIIIIIIG words together, and rhyme them, such as HAT and BAT." "Ohoho, you'll make me laugh up to the wall," Mismagius chuckled. "Ah, but first, TASTE MY SHADOW BALL!"

Mismagius then waved his arms...or whatever, quite a few times. It was surging up energy, which formed into a ball-like substance in the air above him. Then, Mismagius threw down its arms...or whatever down, which threw the Shadow Ball towards Tennille. Tennille figured that she could bounce the Shadow Ball right back at it, so she prepared a Fire Punch on contact with the Shadow Ball, but it wasn't that simple; the Shadow Ball detonated on contact with Tennille's Fire Punch, which made Tennille be pushed back a bit. Tennille shook her head to regain composure, as she then jumped towards the floating Mismagius to deliver a Fire Punch directly on to him, but Mismagius dodged, and quickly released a Psybeam attack from the core of his two eyes, which Tennille quickly made a "you've got to be kidding..." frown on its face, as she couldn't dodge in mid-air. So, she brung her arms our in front of her in a criss-cross manner, trying to block the attack. The Psybeam attack pushed back Tennille quite a few feet as she then landed on the ground hard. Tennille could only slowly get up as she was injured by the fall quite a bit.

"Now my pretty," Mismagius taunted. "Will you scream like a Manaphy?"

"First, I dunno what ya'll have against Manaphy's; they cool, man." Tennille replied. "Second, no way, busta'. This sister's not beat yet."

"Very well!" Mismagius commentated. "I shall see you in hell!"

Mismagius then prepared another Shadow Ball attack, which gave Tennille time to relax; focusing her mind a bit; which in other words, she performed her Focus Energy move. Her instincts her now sharper. Tennille then knew she had only one chance to beat him; via her Fire Punch, on account of her other attack moves won't affect a ghost type pokemon.

    So, she waited.
    And waited.
    Waiting for her chance...

Mismagius finally started to throw his Shadow Ball. This was Tennille's chance. She swatted her tail towards the ground, giving her support for a high, sudden jump, dodging the Shadow Ball. Tennille then quickly performed her Fire Punch on a still and surprised Mismagius, which thanks to her Focusing of her Energy, the attack seemed to have landed on Mismagius's weak spot. A critical hit. Mismagius was pushed back towards the walls of the stadium, in which he fainted and was unable to battle. Tennille started to pant; she fought with many pokemon during this tournament, but it wasn't quite over...yet.

    Nova the Espeon
    Kingdom of Tollen

She looked up to see the Darkrai fling Lorenzo onto the side of the cliff. The Espeon snarled, gathering more loose rocks and debris for platforms. "I'm not going to get there in time," she said to herself in worry, inching up as fast as possible. However, all of a sudden a large boulder smacked the Darkrai on the side, causing the black pokemon to tumble onto the ground. It unfolded itself quickly, revealing itself to be a Golem. Nova had no idea why it was helping them, her alien eyes blinking in confusion, though she glanced around to see her friend nodding. The Espeon kept her view ahead and kept climbing, jumping and reforming onto each rocky pedestal she made with her psychic powers.

Lorenzo smacked into the Darkrai as the legendary struggled to get up. It's eyes glared in anger, and with a swift and powerful motion of its claw, shot the Golem with a fury-infused Dark Pulse. It propelled the rock pokemon back, the Golem rocketing off the edge and down the mountain. She kept her eyes on Lorenzo. He looked upset, soon his expressions changing to anger. Using extreme speed, he smacked the dark pokemon hard with his body before grabbing him off the ground and into the air. The Darkrai was too tired to struggle, Lorenzo quickly using a Volt Switch from above to rocket the legendary back onto the mountain edge. It crashed hard, a few cracks splitting through the stone surface.

"Now Nova!" the Emolga cried, Nova nodding slightly. "My turn," she thought to herself, gathering all of the rocks she had picked up and having them surround her body in a rotating motion. Her small claws easily inched her faster and faster upward before catching onto the edge, the Espeon using her hind legs to kick her off the ground and into the air. It took less than a second for her to gather the stones, having them all sharpen into daggers before firing each one at the legendary. A slight gasp came out as they sunk into the Darkrai's body, some of them pinching in with darkened red blood slightly spurting out. Others misfired, the power forced into the stone daggers digging them all into the ground with little cracks broken into the solid rock. She landed, blinking her eyes and examining the body. There was no movement, the glow of the dark pokemon's eyes faded and dark. Though not a lot of blood was coming out, it was enough to disgust her. A slight frown grew on her face before Nova pushed the corpse off the mountain with her forehead. How many pokemon had they killed now?

"That was, err, close, huh?" the Espeon chuckled to the Emolga, who was right next to her. It felt odd, showing her slight bloodlust to Lorenzo, as he was a friend, and she'd prefer him not to think her crazy. Nova had no choice but to brush it off, along with some off the blood that was still dripping from her chin. "Are you hurt badly, Lorenzo? I can help," she asked in a friendly tone, not waiting for an answer. The Espeon placed her paw on his side gently, rapidly gathering what little sunlight she could from the sky above them and healing her friend with it. The psychic stopped, as the few wounds and cuts she saw on him had closed up. Her smile was more visible under her dark fur.

"I'm not sure when this battle is going to end, but we're already pretty far up, and I don't think anyone can stop us now...", Nova couldn't help but glance around, incase other pokemon were around. Nothing was found,"...I wonder how Shiro and the Duchess are doing".

(OOC: Missed so much that I'm just going to start with Toro getting out of the portal.)

Toro emerged as the last competitor from the Forest Portal. Toro knew Ambrosia would be worried, she tried to help their situation but ended up almost costing him his spot.

Toro clutched his ribs and limped over to the Gold Tribe. The group was being confronted by the all mighty Regigigas. Toro felt trouble but waited until the giant left so he wouldn't interrupt anything important. Being a new member of the Gold Tribe was something Toro knew all to well, so he would stay back in important things.

As the Regigigas walked off, Toro walked to his Tribe.

"Sorry if I worried you all," Toro said.

There was a sudden pain in Toro's head. The pain was an intense burning feeling that was hard for Toro to comprehend. But Toro was one to fight through his pain and press on.

"So, what was…?" Toro started before he stopped talking.

Toro's pain was making Toro's body begin to shut down. Everything started to get dark and before Toro knew it, Toro was passed out on the ground. The last thing he remembered was the Gold Tribe swarming around him in fear of his health and horror of what just happened.

(Hope starting a small problem is O.K. Note that my character is not dead, he is just hurt, bad, very, very, very bad.)

After hearing his name, he immediately remembered the portal where he was supposed to go through. Floating over the other contestants, he made his way to the eerie light. After climbing through it, he was surprised to find himself…right back where he'd started.

The Arena Portal had taken him to, well, and arena, the exact same arena where they had gathered to ENTER the portals. Except here, there were a few minor changes –only about thirty or so Pokemon stood in the circular battlefield now, and the rest of the portals were gone. The noise still erupted from all around them, though, making it hard to concentrate. 'Oh, great. Maybe I can become an insta-star,' Damian thought sarcastically.

Before he had much time to think any further than that, a fiery Pokemon was charging at him. Damian quickly flew out of the way, his fat jiggling around him as the quick movement shook his body. The Pokemon had jumped for the spot where Damian had previously been hovering, and the Slowking caught the look on the raged Pokemon's face as it bent upwards towards him.

At once, his mind started calculating – he had seen this face exactly once before, earlier that week. The Pokemon was a fire and fighting type male, of the Monferno species. The Pokemon was a little brat. "Oh we're going to have some fun, aren't we?" Damian said, grinning. While the thinking had actually happened in about a second, time seemed to speed up again. The Monferno feel to the ground, landing on all fours and jumping up again. Before he could move, however, Damian strained his mind…and focused everything he had on the monkey.

His hate, the ache in his head coming from all around, his need to win – all in his head. The Monferno's eyes widened a bit, as Damian raised the beast into the air, lowering himself in the process so they 'hovered' face to face. The monkey shook and squirmed, and Damian put all his mind power into holding it in place."Next time, you'll think before you talk," Damian said smugly. He threw the Pokemon to the ground again, omglulzkiyoshi raised it, then smashed it once more. And then he finished the Pokemon. 'This is what you get you nasty little-"

But the rest was cut off by the high-pitched screams coming from the Monferno, as Damian's mind cut through it like blades. After the Monferno was finished, the Slowking looked around. Most of the other Pokemon were still going, battling –it looked as if twenty or so were left. He just needed to last a few more minutes…but then again, he had never expected to be this tired so early on. He had used all his energy up, letting his feelings get in the way. His plan hadn't worked anyways, since they were in this huge arena.

He spent the last ounce of his brain power analyzing, watching, remembering. The biggest person here was definitely a large brown Pokemon – and he knew it was a familiar one. He remembered seeing her around, remembered that he had thought he knew her, remembered…her name. Tennille Nakumi, the woman whose name was on the list after his. If he could just convince her to protect him… He took his chances and floated over to the Pokemon. Immediately noticing she wasn't in that great of shape either, he sent her a nudge with his mind.

'I'm not here to help you. I have wasted my energy and I am weak. All I ask of you is to protect me for the last few minutes…Tennille.' He figured that adding her name onto the message he sent to her mind might convince her he wasn't an enemy, but an ally. In one last final plea before she turned around, he send something her way – a Heal Pulse. 'Hopefully she'll understand,' he thought, to himself this time.

    Lorenzo "The Speedster" Aria
    The Kingdom of Tollen
Lorenzo smiled as Nova healed his wounds.

"Thank you, sicerely I thank you." He said with a slight bow.

Lorenzo looked off the cliff where the Golem had fallen.

"Theres a little girl without a a fathr out there now..." He murmered.

He stood at the edge and held his right paw, the armoured one, to his chest while bowing his head, this was the customary sign or respect for the brave allies of the kingdom wh died in battle.

    "Your memory will live on."

"I'm not sure when this battle is going to end, but we're already pretty far up, and I don't think anyone can stop us now...", Nova said looking around.

"...I wonder how Shiro and the Duchess are doing".

Suddenly a loud metalic screech echoed across the mountain, it was the move metal sound, suddenly all of the remaining sixteen contestants were warped to the out cropping Lorenzo and Nova were standing on as the magnezone keeper descended from the sky.

    "Congratulation Brave Combatants!" It cried.

"Now only sixteen of you remain, you hae fought friend and foe alike to arive at this point and now you have earned the right to proceed to the next round!"

As soon as the Magnezone had said that the portal reopened and Lorenzo sighed with relief. *We made it* he thought, he looked at Nova both of us.

    "Now!" The Magnezone cried.

    "Enter through to round two!!!"

Lorenzo hovered low to the ground and slipped his paw into Novas, he smiled at her as the group proceeded through the portal and it closed behind them.

    Genevieve Demetrius
    Gold Tribe

Genevieve walked out of the portal, just in time to see the Regigigas. She'd seen him before, before the round had started. It had been with a hooded Pokemon. Genevieve noticed that the Regigigas was talking to Kent, so she quickly walked over. She was able to hear what the Regigigas said. What are they planning? She thought and looked around at the other Gold Tribe members. Then looked at Kent, she knew that face, he was trying to weigh out their options. "What are you thinking Kaiser?"

Genevieve nodded her head softly at Stingfist's comment. The Order of Neoverse wasn't ones to just walk up to say hi. There was always a hidden meaning behind their nice words. Was this a trap or was it just a meeting? After all this was the survivors, maybe they had changed? It was a long shot, but maybe.

    Annabell Grace
Anna continued her walk, quietly. The Pokemon around her where excitedly talking about the Dark Tournament. Anna bit her lip, hoping Dylan was ok. She hardly knew anything about the tournament. Hardly anybody did. Anna continued to walk, until she smiled when she got to the Spire.

    Mountain Portal-Closed

    Gold Tribe

As Regigigas walked away, Bellator came towards them. Kent acknowledged him with a nod, happy to see yet another Gold Tribe member making it through.

"Sorry if I worried you all,", He said.

"Don't worry, Bellator. I'm just glad to see you've made it through." Kent said.

"What are you thinking Kaiser?" Genevieve said. Kent was surprised to see her out, standing next to him. He looked around once more, confirming that all of the Gold Tribe was with him. Many of them had never seen the Regigigas before, even in the war two years ago.

"It's a challenge. He's from the Order. He's challenging us to a midnight due-" Before Kent could finish, Bellator began to collapse. Kent rushed over to catch him before he had landed on the ground. He yelled at him as he tried to snap him out of unconsciousness, but to no avail.

"Bellator? Bellator! Stay with me!" Kent said, as the Blaziken remained motionless, passed out on the ground. Kent picked him up, and slung him over his shoulder. He approached a Keeper.

"My friend needs medical attention, quickly!" Kent yelled.

The Keeper stared at Kent for a moment, before finally speaking.

"Ah, yes, of course. If you would follow me, we have a facility right inside this building." He said, pointing to the building behind them. Kent gave everyone else a worried look, then followed the Keeper inside the building. The Blaziken Bellator was placed on a mat, and rushed into a room where they began healing him. Kent paced in a sort of waiting room looking place, waiting for a response from the healers. A Chansey came out, sighing. Kent looked at her, wondering what news she would bring.

"His wounds are pretty bad, but he should be able to make it. We'll keep him here for now." Kent nodded, still a bit nervous. He would hate to see one of his own die under his command, but this confirmed something to Kent. The Tournament was not a trifle. It was serious, and people could die here. They had to be serious from here on out, or they could die."

    Kingdom of Tollen

"Have you seen any of the competitors that were knocked out come through the portals? Do you think they just leave them there or something?" Zachary heard Shiro say. He turned to him, in a bit of wonder, and concluded that this was indeed strange.

"I don't know, my Lord Shiro...usually, they would take the bodies and perhaps place them in medical centers or something, but they seem to just leave the dead there, and I have yet to see any of the losing survivors. I can only hope they were sent home...or something of that accord."

Zachary then noticed that Nova's and Lorenzo's portal had begun to open again. Their round was over, which meant they might have been done now. Zachary waited to see if they would come out.

(OOC: Sorry it took so long. I've been really stressed since the 14th)

Alvah panted wiping her brow with her flowered hand. Her body was aching and covered in bruises as well as a few burns from the Growlithe she was facing. During the course of this battle she had taken out several oppenents and helped Azar when he needed it keeping an eye on the other member of the order. "Your not going to survive this weakling" The Growlithe growled chuckling as he stared down the small Roselia.

'That's where your wrong' she thought smirking jumping out of the way of a fire blast that was sent at her. Hidden in the darkness she smirked using Vine whip on the Growlithe slamming him hard onto the ground again and again. "I'm not the weak one" she chuckled throwing the Growlithe into another nearby Pokemon a Azumarill both Pokemon where knocked out maybe even dead instantly.

"17 Pokemon left!" The Keepers voice boomed as soon as that happened and Alvah smirked looking around for Azar only to not see him anywhere. Looking around seeing Pokemon fightning in the darkness but still unable to see the other Order member the bruised Alvah heard a scream of a dying Pokemon and the keeper's voice boomed again as the Portal appeard "There are now 16 fighters left procced through the Portal".

Alvah went through the portal quickly and spotted Hydra, Zion, and Regigias taking a few steps forward before looking back seeing the other 15 fighters exit the portal no Azar. Looking down Alvah felt bad for not keeping a better eye on her teammate now knowing that the scream of death she had heard belonged to him. Staying still and silent she gave a moment of respect for her fallen comrade and walked over to the three leaders of the order kneeling before them saying simply "Azar has fallen"

    Tennille Nakumi
    Region of Argos

As the tournament in the Arena continued, Tennille was panting for her breath as she was steadily holding up her ground. She was also covered in scrapes and bruises, as she was holding up her left arm as she stood there, and panted. Things were looking the bleakest until:

"I'm not here to help you. I have wasted my energy and I am weak. All I ask of you is to protect me for the last few minutes…Tennille."

Tennille was mortified by the sudden voice. She surveyed left and right to see where it came from. "Man, If you ain't helping me, then why should I --" But as Tennille turned back, she was hit with a Heal Pulse. A Heal Pulse from a Slowking. Before Tennille knew it, she started to feel revitalized. Her strength had gotten back to normal, and she felt completely healed. Tennille then gave a hopeful smile that she could past this round with flying colors now, then turned back towards the Slowking.

She knew that the Slowking wanted to use her, but hey...if it counts for more healing, Tennille should take the job of boy =guard...maybe just for this round for a few minutes. So, Tennille gave a quick nod at the Slowking, as she turned back in front of her, where a Primape was incoming at a face pace. Tennille had great reflexes, however, so she quickly gave a dizzy punch to the Rampaging Primape, not only knocking it out, but protecting Slowking at the same time. Tennille then turned her head back towards the Slowking and gave him a quick wink.

"Man, you are some kind of frrrrrrrrrrr-eaky."

The large Pokemon - Tennille, Damian supposed he should call her - looked confused for a moment. She looked all around before replying. "Man, if you ain't helping me, then why should I-" Damian froze. She had stopped talking, and instead turned around to face him. For a moment, he was positive she was going to strike, and it would all be over. But nothing happened. Damian floated awkwardly, holding his breath for a moment as Tennille started to look stronger.

Finally, she nodded quickly and turned around, ready to fight. Damian sighed in relief. Maybe he had a shot, after all? He watched as Tennille easily took out a raging Primeape, her fist knocking it down so fast that if Damian had blinked he wouldn't have seen it. After it was done she turned and winked at Damian.

"Man, you are some kind of frrrrr-eaky," she said to him. Her accent bothered Damian a bit, leaving a kind of buzzing in his hears. But as long as she was protecting him for the last few minutes, he could handle anything she had to throw his way. Mentally, of course. If she turned on him and punched him then he wouldn't stand a chance.

But luckily, that wasn't going to happen - because before the Slowking could answer, one of the ancient Pokemon on the sides called out, "Only sixteen of you remain. Congratulations, you will all move on to the next round." Damian smiled: a true smile for what seemed like the first time in ages. He was too tired to speak, so he just nodded at Tennille. Hopefully there was somewhere he could get some food around here - and fast.

Ambrosia looked around for anyone she knew. She was waiting for Bellator when she spotted some other Gold Tribe members. She began to walk over, still worried that the Blaziken would be hurt. She joined the rest of the group and after some conversation, she saw the familiar red figure escape out of the portal. Among the other victors, she saw the hooded figure and the Regigigas. It was huge. Its metallic body shimmered in the golden light. But, it itself spewed dark feelings. She cowered and watched as it grew close until it stood at the front of the group.

"The Gold Tribe and the Order have unfinished business. Come to the front of the Spire tonight at midnight. We have a score to settle." its voice boomed.

She looked at the others, worried. They didn't know much about this new Order. She looked around, seeing if she knew anyone else, when she saw her. Matilda the Miltank. She was right in front of her. Ambrosia rubbed her eyes to make sure she hadn't gone completely insane. But, of course, by then she had moved on. Ambrosia looked for her but watched as Toro fell over, fainted. She wouldn't feel right if she left, so she hurried along with the others.

There was something going on here. Something big.

    Arena Portal-Closed

    All Portals Closed

    Gold Tribe

As the news that Bellator was going to be alright reached Kent, he instantly felt more relieved. Apparently, he was transported to a location underneath the arena, which is where all the contestants would be staying. A Keeper went up to him and spoke to Kent.

"All of the Portals have been closed. Rector will now make his announcement in the main Arena. I suggest you head there at once."

Kent nodded, and headed there. Already there were all of the rest of the combatants who had made it on. Kent joined next to his Gold Tribe, waiting to see what would happen next.

    *****************************************************************

    Order of Alcantus

As the Magma Portal opened, Hydra came out. Zion and Regigigas awaited for the other Blaziken in the Order to come out as well, but he never did. Hydra spoke to the other leaders.

"The other one didn't make it." He said in a chilled voice, his mechanical head swaying side to side, while his other did the same on the other end. His center head remained focused on Zion and Regigigas. Regigigas spoke.

"It's a shame. I assumed he was a good warrior. I was wrong, it seems."

    Zion said something now.

"Not necessarily. If anything, this only proves that this Tournament indeed includes the strongest fighters around."

    Hydra nodded.

Suddenly, the Darkness Portal, where the other two went, suddenly opened, and out came the winners. The three leaders of the Order of Alcantus waited for the other two minions of theirs to come, but only one eventually came out, Alvah. She approached the three.

"Azar is dead." She said simply, kneeling before them.

The three leaders looked at her, before Regigigas spoke.

"It is commendable that at least you have made it out alive. Come with us. The host of the Tournament is calling all winners to the main Arena."

    ****************************************************************

Gold Tribe, Kingdom of Tollen, Order of Alcantus, Region of Argos

As all of the winners from the first round approached the main Arena, they found Rector and the other Keepers around, standing there in the middle.

Kent perked up his ears to hear what they would say next. The audience around slowly began quieting down as Rector raised his wings to begin speaking.

"Congratulations, combatants. Those who remain here have passed the first round, and are advancing to the second round!" The audience cheered for the remaining fighters. Rector raised his wings again as he began speaking once more.

"You are all tired, and must be hungry as well. All combatants that have advanced the round are now welcome to go below the arena. There, you will find a buffet of foods and drinks from all over the Continents, as well as rooms prepared where you may sleep and rest. There is also a healing center you may go to for anyone who has injuries or pain."

Derrick smirked a bit. He was quite hungry, and wouldn't mind getting a few drinks at the diners. Rector spoke again, this time, more softly as to only address the combatants out of all of the noise from the audience.

"Now listen to me, combatants. All of your rooms are closeby each other, which means that all of you will be next to each other. In the past that this Tournament has gone by, there have been a few...incidents of battling and killing. I should let you know that these are...looked down on by the Keepers and myself."

He paused speaking once more. Zachary noticed something in his word. He said that fighting below was 'looked down upon' but he never said it was illegal, or against the rules. If the others around would have noticed that, they too might be thinking something similar. There may be some interesting things that happen below. Rector spoke on last time, this time, to the audience and to the contestants.

"The Keepers will escort you to the underground. We will see you all tomorrow, where we will begin ROUND TWO!" The audience cheered once more.

Kent followed the Keepers below to the underground Rest Area. There, it was just as Rector said, except not in the way he imagined. Although it was underground, this place looked like a mini-town. There was Food, Drinks, healing centers, and a giant Inn-like structure, probably where the beds and rooms were. The area looked like a street of some town, where you can do everything, yet is was just for the combatants. It was quite a remarkable sight.

Derrick didn't waste much time. He went straight for the bar area. He needed a good drink now, after a hard days of battling.

Kent looked at everyone else in the Gold Tribe next to them and spoke.

"Let's enjoy ourselves, I guess. But we should be careful. Those Keepers put us all running around will all of the other combatants. It seems...unusual. Try not to get into any unwanted entanglements..."

It was indeed strange. Here, all of the Pokemon of the Tournament would rest drink and relax, sitting side by side, and walking amongst each other's company. And tomorrow, they would all try to kill each other again. Kent was particularly worried about getting in a fight with people from the Order here. He hoped the Gold Tribe would avoid them as well.

Kent was not the only one who would find this strange. Zachary had a similar thought, and so perhaps did many others. One things was certain.

This was going to be an interesting night.

    Replicus 'Fallax' Decendas
    Gold Tribe

Bellator was transported to somewhere under the arena, and Kent came to know he was going to be okay. He breathed a sigh of relief.

"All of the Portals have been closed. Rector will now make his announcement in the main Arena. I suggest you head there at once." A Keeper said to Kent.

Rector then spoke. "Congratulations, combatants. Those who remain here have passed the first round, and are advancing to the second round!" The audience cheered for the remaining fighters. Rector raised his wings again as he began speaking once more.

"YEAH! WOO! GO US! WE'RE AWESOME!" Replicus shouted, grinning.

"Oh, yeah. That is the life." Replicus said.

"Now listen to me, combatants. All of your rooms are closeby each other, which means that all of you will be next to each other. In the past that this Tournament has gone by, there have been a few...incidents of battling and killing. I should let you know that these are...looked down on by the Keepers and myself."

"Hey, wait wait wait.... what the heck? Killing during the rest, isn't illegal?" Replicus shouted. Nobody replied, and Rector continued.

"The Keepers will escort you to the underground. We will see you all tomorrow, where we will begin ROUND TWO!"

The audience cheered at the words 'ROUND TWO'. Why wouldn't they? They now had a source of entertainment, which came from the fights of the brave warriors.

The Keepers led the group underground, and Replicus was spellbound. The Keepers had managed to build a whole Mini Town, with an inn, bar, whatever Replicus had thought of, everything was there.

"Let's enjoy ourselves, I guess. But we should be careful. Those Keepers put us all running around will all of the other combatants. It seems...unusual. Try not to get into any unwanted entanglements..." Kent said to the Gold Tribe members.

Fallax nodded, then walked over to Dylan. "Hey little buddy, why don't we both explore a bit, eh?" One of the reasons he had said this was because he wanted to know more about the child. Second, he wanted to protect him. The kid may be strong, but he had yet have to learn how to harness his powers. And third, he wanted to spend time with someone.
