A year has passed since D/P not opal. Also a rom of what.

Oh, well that proves me point more. If there was any info on a release, we'd have heard of it by now. We know it isn't comming out anytime soon, and when it does, there will be real information. Until then, this thread should probably be locked, because the "release" was proven to be a fake, and all of this is just trivial talk. There are threads about things we would like to see in the next game in Pokemon General thread.

And a ROM of Opal, a fanmade rom. Come on now.

Yes, it has been at least a year! Surely the release is on the horizon! And basically, your saying we should get a fanamde "hack" of Opal, i'd rather wait until its officially released! Theres such thing as "keeping low profile". Maybe they want to surprise us!

*sigh*. Yeah, I'll PM Shiny bout this thread to be locked or something. Probably renamed. Fact is, they have released no information thus far. It's starting to get irrational, illogical, and downright naive (I like that word) to start thinking of insane situations in which the game would be released. They have nothing to gain by "keeping a low profile", and they certainly aren't going to give this to us as a surprise gift. They aren't our parents. They are a company, trying to make money. Maybe they are making it. But we aren't doing anything by making up situations in order to satisfy us. We just have to get over the fact that the game hasn't been offically released, no real information has been given, and we have no way of knowing when it will come out--if they even decide to make a new one. They are currently making Pokemon Ranch for Wiiware. That is all we know. Wishing & hoping...there is a thread for that.


EDIT: TO DARK...look it up on Google. You'll find plenty of fan made "hacks" that dark mentioned.

Meh, I agree with Sims, this thread should be locked. You guys only have to wait another 2-3 weeks for Coro coro to comfirm this is true. I'm pretty sure it will be Opal too, if not, oh well.

You know, every time Nintendo releases the two versions of the game it makes another one a short period of time, also they had been speculations about a game that in fact will be known as Opal. Wouldn't it be nice if the game had the possibility of journeying around the regions and getting all the pkmn without the need of trading?! I hope it has something like it

Well I thienk crystal came out in july 2001.

I must say people, this has been a very entertaining thread to read. Like a good novel where at first the characters are fighting but then they all come to their senses and everyone is happy at the end... kinda.

But then I read the last post and now I'm waiting for a sequel.

On topic: When I first saw the box art I got really excited, but then I calmed down a bit after looking over some of the details. Can't wait for the new Coro Coro though :)

Something I Found~

I found this YouTube vid that some guy made to
declare that he found the pics of the remake of
G/S ( No Crystal ) and claims it fake.
He also announces Opal fake (D=).
(I think he's tired of announcing fakes.)
Well, I think the G/S box art looks cute!

I feel that I shoudl step in here real quick and just remind people that some people do take the time to make fake boxarts:

Remember this? Came out around August or so last year and had everyone "OMG!"ing for a few days until everyone realized Nintendo had made no release.

That being said, let's not fool ourselves here. This article is most likely a fake, and until anything to the contrary comes out from a credible source, it will remain just that, a fake. Even if the new game is called Opal, I still doubt any of the features mentioned in that "article" are true. If you think about it, there is rarely if ever new features added to a third in the series of Pokemon games, and if there is it's never anything too big.

Red/Blue -> Yellow- Pikachu follows you around
Gold/Silver -> Crystal- Some new story and you can catch both Lugia and Ho-oh if I remember right
Ruby/Sapphire -> Emerald- Same deal as G/S

Seriously, full 3-D battle sequences and voice commands are most likely a while away. I absolutely can't believe this topic has gone on for 7 pages, the whole concept that someone could believe that article is preposterous to me.

Those box arts above are a bit poor, to me. The wi-fi sign should go at the top, not at the bottom. Also, the Nintendo logo (the round thing with Nintendo in it) is totally white, whilst DP have it in red.

Just a correction:
The Wi-Fi logo goes at the bottom and Nintendo logos are completely white on Japanese Games. ;)

Sorry for my misunderstandings. I still think Opal is not fake, though. This has turned into a massive discussion, so.. unless maybe a picture is released of a Japanese Pokémon Opal, this might not be true.
