...before they knew it, they had reached an open field, and they were met with the sight of a small creature which bore resemblance to a teddy bear. The creature had short brown fur that covered its entire body, except for its mouth and the crescent moon marking on its head. The creature was sucking on its paw, and was undeniably cute. Tyson guessed that it was lost, as it was looking around for something. Then the teddy bear like creature saw Tyson...
"Teddi!" it cried out, taking its paw out of its mouth and curling its claws, ready for a battle. Tyson hurriedly brought his pokedex to see what this pokemon was.
Teddiursa, the teddy bear pokemon. This pokemon allows honey to soak into its nails so that it may suck on them later. Every claw has a peculiar taste.
"So another battle, huh?" Tyson smirked, un able to believe he had encountered so many battles today. "Heracross, you up for this?"
"Hera!" Heracross said eagerly, wanting to gain some experience.
Tyson was unable to hide a grin at his excitement. "Alright, let's start off with Horn Attack!"
"Hcro!" Heracross bellowed, shell opening to reveal his beating wings. With a smile, Heracross took off, horn glowing with power and yellow eyes alight in the sunlight.
"Teeedi!" Teddiursa screamed, flying backwards as the horn bashed into his stomach. Getting up, Teddiursa marched right up to Heracross. The bug was prepared, however, and just stood over the bear... that is until...
"T.E.D.I?" Teddiursa said with a purposeful slowness, large eyes becoming watery as it gave off a pitiful cry.
Heracross was taken aback, blinking in confusion.
"Ted... ursa!" Teddiursa screamed, face turning into a nasty grin and leaping at the shell shocked Heracross. "Teed!" With its cry, is Scratched at Heracross's stomach.
"Herc!" heracross barked in surprise, jumping back in shock at the strange pokemon.
"Tedd..." Teddiursa said pitifully, staring up at Heracross with another watery face.
"Ignore those Fake Tears," Tyson ordered, just a bit too harshly. "Use Horn Attack!"
"Herc!" Heracross bellowed, angry at itself for falling for such a trick. Taking off, Heracross gutted the tiny bear, resulting in a high pitched squeal of pain.
"Urs!" Teddiursa cried. Growling, it charged at Heracross, claws up at the ready.
"Dodge!" Tyson ordered.
"Hera! Hera! Hera!" Heracross said with each dodge, body turning lef and right as Teddiursa tried to Scratch him. "Corss!" Heracross cried, finally Tackling the tiny bear back.
"Tediii," Teddiursa growled from the ground, huffing in irriation. After a moment, it sighed and walked up to Heracross, holding out is hands in a begging symbol and gave a loud cry, tears running down its face. "Teddd!" it cried.
"Cros," Heracross, grumbling, bringing a claw to his head in irritation. Herr," he breath exasperation.
Tyson chuckled a bit nervously, glad that Teddiursa's Covet attack was useless. "Heracross, Horn Attack," he said with a grin.
"Croos!" Heracross bellowed, attacking with a much needed vigor. "Herr!" Horn glowing, Teddiursa was slammed back by the powerful horn.
"Td... Ted!" Teddiursa bounced along the ground, grunting in pain. "Urs!" Teddiursa screamed in anger, running at Heracross with its tongue hanging out, prepared to use its Lick attack.
"Heracross, finished it," Tyson ordered.
Heracross nodded in understanding. Grinning, Heracross charged at Teddiursa, using its feet instead of its wings. "Corr!" Heracross called, grabbing Teddiursa by the arm and holding it up from the ground.
"Ted! Ted! Ted!" Teddiursa snarled, squirming in Heracross's hold, claws waving and tongue trying to hit the giant beetle.
Heera," Heracross said slowly, mockingly. With a large grin, Heracross took a deep breath and threw the poor pokemon high into the air. "Cross!"
"Teeeed!" Teddiursa screamed, flailing about in the air, tears falling like a waterfall as he fell towards the ground and landed with loud bang. "Ted..." Teddiursa cried softly from within the small hole it created from the impact.
"Cross!" Heracross snapped, stomping hard on Teddiursa's body until its eyes no longer fluttered open.
Tyson laughed when the giant bug finally stopped. "Wow, Heracross. You don't think that's a little much, do you?"
"Cross," Heracross said with a laugh, rubbing the back of his head.
Tyson sighed, glancing at the unconcious pokemon until a crunch off to the side alerted him. A boy, about his age, came through the trees. He was wearing baggy brown pants and a white shirt. He was lugging a backpack behind and had his sandy brown hair covered by a red cap. HIs face brightened when he saw Tyson.
"Oh, hey! I haven't seen another trainer at all until now! Im Andrew, what's your name?"
"Tyson," Tyson replied with an easy grin. "So, wanna battle?"
"Sure!" Andrew grinned back before his eyes landed on the defeated Teddiursa. "Uh, your work?"
"...Uh, yea," Tyson said with a laugh.
"Mind if I catch it if you don't want it? I've been wanting to get an Ursaring."
"Sure," Tyson said with a shrug as Heracross and Charmander got behind him, ready to get called out to battle.
Andrew gave him a nod of thanks before tossing a pokeball on the fallen bear. After it shook three times it ended with a 'ping'. "Alright, two on two sound good?"
"Sounds good to me! You ready, Charmander?" he nodded at the fire lizard.
"Char!" Charmander barked, coming out in front and letting out a burst of flame.
Andrew grinned and grabbed one of his own pokeballs. "Go...!"
