Pokemon Over-obsession

Number 3, definetly. [sp?] I was doodling a Flygon on the bus in my notebook, and I hear some guys in the back make some dumb joke about Pokemon. Got me mad, but I eventually shruggged it off. And for #4, it's not just Pokemon. Whenever I hear anybody say they like something I like that's not really that popular, I get excited. [sp?]

wow, my spelling's lacking today...

i remember that when i was younger i asked everyone if they like pokemon. Today i was in the doctor and i saw some guy playing ds and i was bored and really hoping he was playing pokemon and he did and we battled and traded (a cyndaquil for a totodile) and im happy people my age other than my best friends like it.

This happened to me once. and you've all seen it I quit this over obsession a LOOOOOOONG time ago.

Thanks from the Editor

Wow, people, I never expected so many replies... Thaaaaanks.
Anyway, I have another one.

5) Your parents just BLURTS out that you are going onto Pokemon forums.
(I was like, DAD, you don't need to let everyone know that your daughter loves Pokemon. I hate you.)

Anyway, I'm on a holiday in Macau, so I didn't come to the forums yesterday. Well, I'm going back home tomorrow, so see ya!

Yes, some of this does kinda happen. When they start about "Isn't he supposed to be 20 or something? Where is his Dad?"
"THIS HAS BEEN TALKED TO DEATH ON FORUMS. READ ONE. IT'S OLD NEWS!"

One kid decided he was going to sound smart by knowing a well know secret.
"Ash actually starts his journey when he's 14 in the Japanese Dub-"
"No he doesn't."
"Well it's different in the eng-"
"No. He doesn't."
"Well that's strange because-"
"No."
"The subs I had-"
"No, you're wrong."
"They were pretty good sub-"
"You're wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong."
"I guess that-"
"STOP QUESTIONING NINA!"
my dear Maggie says. She doesn't know it's true, but she knows I like pokemon.

OK, I know this is awkward, but do you have such an experience? (It may be different for you...)

4) You are overjoyed when a friend also likes Pokemon.

Do you have the same problem? (Tell me if there's a post like this already, or I put it in the wrong place.)

Man yes! Everytime I find out that some one I know likes Pokémon/ has the game on the DS, I jump for joy (please bear in mind that I am 22 now as well). And even worse- when people have a DS and NOT the pokémon game... I annoy them and pressure them until they get it. And most of the time, they like it too!

Number 3 gets me occasionally. Of course, I usually shrug it off, and my friends are always there to help me out, whether they're Pokémon fans or not. I get fed up with it though, so sometimes I turn it around and hand it to the guy tenfold and they turn away feeling hurt while my friends and I pick at the guy like buzzards.

Yeah, we can be mean as a group, usually when one of us is being screwed with.

Number 2, 3 and 4 very much apply to me. When I was little, they called me a boy girl because I liked Pokemon. 4th graders can be very cruel...
This kid called Pokemon "Pokeymans". >.<

OK, I know this is awkward, but do you have such an experience? (It may be different for you...)

1) Your friend tries to draw Pikachu (or another Pokemon), and you feel offended when she doesn't draw as good as you.
2) On the bus/somewhere-else, you hear two kids talking about Pokemon, and when one of them says Pikachu uses "Electric Thundershock", you just feel like you want to punch that kid.
3) You hate people who "insult" you by saying that you LIKE Pokemon (and NOT in a nice way), when you just want to be left in peace, or you have a bad mood.
4) You are overjoyed when a friend also likes Pokemon.

Do you have the same problem? (Tell me if there's a post like this already, or I put it in the wrong place.)

Haha, yes, what pokemon fan doesn't?!
I hate (and get a lot of) the "you like pokemon" thing, when they say it really nasty. I also hate it when they insult my favourite pokemon. I remember someone (who was actually my bf(now ex) o.0) knew that I hate Pikachu and loved Darkrai so he would tease me, saying his Pikachu owned and kicked my Darkrai's ass (he doesn't even play pokemon). I got really upset and cried that day. That's being a pokemon fan lol.
